Chapter 154: The Yellow Door

Chapter 154: The Yellow Door

What Seth was thinking right now were all the things that terrified him to no end.

He had touched a baby dragon, Vela, the first dragon he captured and she was much stronger than a human. The only reason he won was that she was weak at the time and injured.

His Dragon Halo Pulse and the Six wing strike helped mess with her aura too.

He also touched the Lion Pride Bloodline from Roana Prada and its power was a hundred times stronger than the baby dragon.

He had come across a Silver Water which

Reduce Roan Prada to nothing. The Battle Beast had a lot of bloodlines and each one was stronger than a baby dragon.

Not to mention, he married a girl which was a hundred times stronger than Baby dragons.

All this should not have been possible if it was a normal game. In normal games, the danger increases as time passes while the players are allowed to grow and adapt. Sadly, this isn't the case.

"I'm leaving!"

"No, you are not!" Ash said.

Seth ignored him and walked away. But then a black root came out from the ground and trapped Seth.

"You said, you will take us to the treasure site. I know you are afraid but we all are. Besides, You can't run from the dragon, she will find you and bring you back. Just suck it off and guide us. We might even find a way to escape there!"

Ash explained, his hand on the ground controlling the vine.

"Hmm. You think you can bind me!" Seth's staff floated on its own. He really was upset and also not thinking straight. But his fear was valid, if the dragon killed him, as he was enough to activate their voice, then he would truly be dead.

"Calmed down." Juma let out, "Ash, you shouldn't use your powers on someone. Seth, Samsi here was the fastest player I ever met and he can even teleport but he was taken back with ease. Even if you run, she will find you. Especially now that you know the direction to another dragon cave. Guiding us to the treasure is the best possible scenario now. I'm willing to pay you for that!"

"That green dragon has been with us since day one!" Seth said without responding to what she said.

"I felt a distinct fear of something. Something close, like a dragon, but unlike the one I met. Since everything was new I thought that fear of what I saw was a result of the Dragon Blast's presence but it wasn't." Seth suddenly told them the half-truth.

"Are you sure about this?" The players asked.

"Do you think I was making it up!" Seth growled at them.

But then they began to panic, why was another dragon stalking them?

What if there was something the dragon wanted from them?

But was Blast Dragon truly protecting them?

What if they were just lambs to be slaughtered after they reached a certain level of power?

Seth has made them question everything. But he can see Zambia and Rena didn't like the development.

"I assure you, the Great Blast Dragon wants no direct harm to us. He only wants servants. The new dragon was the one in question. And we can speculate what its motives are!"

"But then why did Blast Dragon try to kill Blessing Winter?" Ash asked. And that silences everyone. "I can sense and understand the flow of things. The blast dragon wanted Blessing dead at that moment."

All eyes went to Zambia and Juma. "Don't look at me. Ask him!" Juma jumped back.

"Well, as I said, she wants servants. But I don't know anything beyond that. However, some of us have been with her for months but we haven't seen anything like that. I believe there must be a reason. But, we should all know, the dragons are not infallible!" Zambia explained.

The debate lasted long but as sunset approached they all agreed to go to the Treasure site.

After calming down, Seth evaluated his actions and found them disheartening. He should have acted strong and brave. But then, Seth has built trauma over time. Even with a strong Will, he was bound to have a meltdown one day.

He remembered when he spent a day trembling after he touched the lion bloodline. The enormous power he felt and the fear that generated was overwhelming.

He took a deep breath but then he heard, "You like visiting sanctuaries, why?" Ash asked. The boy has shown interest in the aura and still does. As Seth stared at him, Ash apologized for what he did.

Seth shook his head and moved ahead as they reached the tunnel, "I will lead!" He straight up walked at the front, some players groaned but they didn't object.

"Juma, can you scare them more? I mean elevate your scare factor!" He ordered, Juma was taken aback but she said okay.

As Seth was a few meters ahead, he felt some sort of pull and confidence he never felt. This feeling was the same as when he first felt an instinctual desire to go somewhere and he ended up finding a dragon cave.

'So, as I assumed the lead, the Quest gave me a guide toward the goal!'

"Yellow Room Treasure? Is that its true name?"  Seth asked after they reached two paths in the tunnel.

"That what was known!" Samsi said. Seth brought his red staff and swung it around. The truth was that he already felt the right path but he had to fool around with some made-up instrument. But then he remembered that Ash might see the flow of things and understand this was bullshit.

He glanced at him, and he found the player smiling but then Seth activated his eyesight and looked at the string of yellow aura coming from the two paths and touching Samsi, he pushed his aura into the red stick and then touched the yellow aura.

Ash frowned because he could feel the flow wasn't fake anymore. Not only that, the stick somehow became yellow. Seth pushed it away as players exclaimed.

'So, that can happen too. But that was enough to keep Ash with his suspicions in place.!' From all the paths yellow aura came but Seth followed his inflation on one oath.

They walked for three hours, the more Seth stepped forward the more he could feel the destination. And what amplified that was his elevated staff that he put on the ground from time to time.

'Nobles are leaders and as I am guiding them, I'm getting good intuition regarding the guide."

As Seth chooses to be a Noble, he has to be able to Lead people to Success, have a Community to Govern and also have an Outstanding reputation for performing Great Feats.

This reflects in his Quest. Conquest, Lead for seven days, Make a village.

They reached a dead end in a long tunnel that has a normal yellow wooden door.

"We haven't fought anything on the way!" Ash said.

How dangerous were the tunnels, well, they were teaming up with creatures that can't live on the surface due to the sun and pressure? So, there was great congestion and it was impossible to walk for hours with no stealth and face no danger.

"We are here. Zambia you can take over. I'm tired, this Guide attribute is… straining." Seth sat and leaned on the tunnel wall. He had used some Exertion Points for unknown reasons. Normal activities shouldn't strain him like this, right?

Well, Samsi took over and said it may take some time to unlock the door. Others sat and they started chatting over what to expect. But the answer wasn't definite. One thing was, there will be a trial and depending on that, one may get a reward.

Seth on the other hand was hoping that he will get to lead them more times in his Quest for his progress.

'I believe that if the number of players was lower than 10 as required by the quest, there might not be any progress!' Seth thought. But then he thought about the poor villagers that suffered today, he should convince them that he has a sanctuary away from the danger of dragons and the hornet of creatures.

But then he thought that how could they even traverse the dead land and scale the hill and reach the other side of the land where Living Root was?

He shook his head and looked around.
