Chapter 369 - 369 Abortion.
The other people and doctors in the room admired Dr Kai a lot at that moment. The old man however continued without batting an eyelid, "Also, the life energy in the embryo is too weak, barely hanging there. The drug has affected it a lot. An abortion is…"
"... Should I abort your manhood, Doctor Kai?" Sheng Haotin said with a smile yet the own he was holding, snapped into half.
The smile was so chilling that Doctor Kai regretted dropping himself in that hell pit. The authorities of the capital city warned them to be careful of Sheng Haotin and it wasn't a joke! The other doctors didn't dare to look at Sheng Haotin.
"I… I suggest we should move the baby to another suitable body before one week passes and see if it can live..." Doctor Kai stuttered in fright. He felt a great danger a moment ago but after mentioning this, the danger disappeared.
"Other than these two options, I can't suggest a third path. When we will give her some medicines to lessen the effect of the fatal drug, it will be a matter of time for the baby to die. Cough!" Doctor Kai said without holding back.
In the main seat, Sheng Haotin nodded with deep thought. He looked at his son who nearly went crazy in these days and tormented the old scientists day and night. He said meaningfully, "You heard everything. Will we wait for her to wake up or do it now?"
Sheng Ruming lifted his blank face and asked the old doctor Kai instead, "When will she wake up?"
"Can be one more day, one week, one month, one year… we aren't God. We can't say anything clearly." Doctor Kai moved his pen and tapped on the paper on the table. He was trying to hide his nervousness by doing unnecessary actions.
"Surrogacy? Huh?" Sheng Ruming murmured with self-mockery. When his father once told him to go for this, he denied it with all his might. He thought dreadfully, 'Didn't think that I would still need it… On top of that, she's in a coma again… '
He lifted his eyes and turned at the old doctor as he replied firmly, "Do it today. There is no place for any failure!"
When the doctors and other people turned to Sheng Haotin, the latter nodded. Thus, the matter was done without any delay. In five hours, a suitable body was found and the little thing was moved from its mother's womb to another woman's womb.
…
After fifteen days, deep into the night.
Luo Lixi slowly opened her eyes and saw the ceiling. Her temple was hurting crazily. The first thing she heard was the sound of machines. When she lifted her face, she noticed she was on a hospital bed and there was no one beside her. On top of that, a bunch of things were placed behind her and those seemed very familiar.
'Again?! Why am I in the hospital again?!' Luo Lixi mourned in her heart. A weakness shrouded her body and her left arm felt particularly numb.
She frowned and sat up on the bed. Her empty mind became clear and was jumping in anger, 'Why the heck I am in a hospital room?! Do I have an ill fate?! Or perhaps fate with the hospital… I should have become a doctor…''
Slowly, as Luo Lixi thought, she got up. At the back of her neck, she felt something pricking on her skin deeply, her eyes creased as she cried out, "Ouch! Painful!"
Then she touched the thing and removed it. Turned out, it was a needle that was coated in her blood. "What the hell is this?"
Luo Lixi cried out as she saw a very thin needle attached to a mini machine-like object. She put the thing on the bed table and glanced around the room but felt hollow. Then she noticed it was nighttime, around 3:20 am.
"Everyone must be sleeping. What am I to do alone now?" Luo Lixi murmured as she separated the IV tubes which were attached to her arms. In her bare feet, she got up but immediately fell on the bed.
"My tummy…" She clutched her belly tightly and felt vague pain on the pelvis. Luo Lixi tightly shut her eyes and took in a deep breath, 'Is my period here?'
After thinking about it, she crawled on the bed and sat down on it. Afterwards, she lifted her loose dress and checked. 'There is nothing. Why is it so painful?'
Luo Lixi thought and didn't move. She sat on the hospital bed and then, she began to wait for time to pass. When it was ten minutes away from six o'clock, she couldn't endure it anymore.
"What to do?! I am so bored. My purse isn't here either. I would have called my grandfather..." She thought weakly and glanced around with frustration.
She noticed a pair of sandals beside the door and went ahead to wear them with much difficulty.
When she crouched down, for the second time, Luo Lixi felt the tearing pain. "Ouch! Ouch! My belly!"
Thus she straightened up and wore the sandals without touching them by hand and only used her toes and feet. Afterwards, she glanced at the door and wondered if she should go out and tell others that she was awake.
'The reception, did it go well…' It was also a thing to worry about for her.
…
Creak~
The sound of the door moving rang out. The sleepy bodyguards instantly lost their sleepiness and stared at the door. But it didn't move again which made them puzzled.
"Didn't the nurse leave?" A guard asked with a straight face.
"Hmm." Another guard replied.
Creak~ Creak~
The door moved slowly and a pale pair came out. As soon as she stepped out, four bodyguards became alarmed and subconsciously turned their guns at her.
"Who?!"
"Don't move!"
"Stop!"
"Hands up!"
Four men pointed their guns at the door and the quiet atmosphere became tense in a second.
Luo Lixi got a huge scare and froze in her place. She lifted her hands above her head and replied weakly, "Ah, I am, I am innocent!"
"..." The four bodyguards were speechless as always. Everyone took back their raised arms and put away the guns while one said awkwardly, "Sorry to startle you, Madam. At this time, there shouldn't have been any second person in your room. Sensing someone coming out, we were alerted..."
"It's fine, fine." Luo Lixi whispered weakly and walked out. She glanced around the corridor and didn't see other people. She touched her throat and mumbled, "What happened to me? Why am I here?"
She turned towards the bodyguards and asked with hesitation, "Do you know?"
The bodyguards shook their heads. They were given the task of guarding the door and other matters, they didn't know and care.
"Oh." Luo Lixi nodded and then walked ahead on the corridor. The bodyguards exchanged glances and in the end, one followed Luo Lixi. The man had difficulty matching her snail-like steps but he followed her without saying anything. While walking, she rubbed her tummy and murmured, "It hurts a lot."
The bodyguard immediately asked, "Should I bring a doctor for you, Madam?"
But Luo Lixi shook her head, "No need."
As she walked on the corridor, she noticed that there were very few rooms around the place and except for hers, others were tightly shut. Though It looked like a hospital, she could not help but feel weird.
'Where are the other patients? Or am I the only one here?' She thought and tried to open one but it was locked from inside.
Luo Lixi walked in her small steps and would occasionally stop to ponder sometimes. Soon she reached the elevator. As soon as she touched the button to go down, the bodyguard stopped her instantly, "Madam, you can't leave this floor."
"Why?" Luo Lixi asked but she didn't remove her fingers from the lift button.
"It's an order from our boss." The bodyguard said seriously.
"Ruming?" Luo Lixi turned to him and asked.
"Yes." The man smoothed out his hoarse and stern voice because he didn't want to startle the other party, "Madam, please go back. We have notified the doctor that you are awake. Your doctors will be coming in a short while."
"Alright." Thus Luo Lixi turned around to go back into her room. Also, her belly was hurting a lot and she couldn't walk more. But as soon as she was walking, several doors around her opened and some people got out. When they first saw her, some were elated and some were relieved.
In them, Doctor Kai was the one who was happiest. He went ahead and stood beside her, "Miss Luo, how do you feel now?"
Luo Lixi glanced around the corridor and was sweating inside. All the other people were staring at her intensely as if one word from her would determine their fate.
