Chapter 28
Chapter 28
Meeting Song Jia
“Sister Zhenzhen, where are you going?” Sun Xiao hurriedly asked when she saw Lu Zhen suddenly get out of the car.
“Nothing. I saw an acquaintance. I’ll go down and say hello. Just wait for me in the car. I’ll be back later.” Lu Zhen smiled at Sun Xiao so that she wouldn’t follow.
Then Lu Zhen turned his head and looked at Song Jia, who was wearing a silk shirt and black pants not far away. After thinking for a few seconds, she put on a polite and enthusiastic smile as she walked over.
“Mr. Song.” Lu Zhen sounded shocked. “What a coincidence. Do you live here?”
Song Jia turned around and saw Lu Zhen. “Miss Lu, why are you here? To look at houses?”
Lu Zhen was impressed by Song Jia’s accurate guess. She didn’t deny it and only smiled implicitly. “Yes, but I don’t know much about this area.”
A thoughtful look appeared in Song Jia’s eyes. He thought to himself that he was indeed a top actress in the new generation. If it were any other man, with her natural tone and expression, they would have believed her.
However, in Song Jia’s eyes, Lu Zhen was no different from those women who threw themselves at him. At most, Lu Zhen was more skillful and expressed herself more naturally, and she was more beautiful.
Song Jia raised his eyebrows and thought for a moment. “I know a few people from real estate agencies. Why don’t I help you contact them? If you’re free, you can go and take a look at the property yourself.”
Lu Zhen didn’t show much excitement, but he looked at Song Jia with joy in his eyes. “That’s great. Then I’ll have to trouble you, Mr. Song. My assistant is still waiting for me. I’ll leave first. If the house is really to my liking, I’ll definitely treat you to a meal. Please do me the honor.”
Song Jia didn’t expect Lu Zhen to be so tactful. She didn’t push her luck just because he was willing to help. Instead, she knew her limits and her words made people feel very comfortable.
She was a clever woman.
“Okay, see you later.” Song Jia nodded politely. He was aloof, elegant, and extremely refined.
Seeing that Lu Zhen had returned, Sun Xiao came over excitedly with a gossipy expression. “Zhenzhen, isn’t that Mr. Song? What were you talking about just now? I saw that Mr. Song was looking at you differently. Is he going to pursue you? Fortunately, you’ve already gotten rid of that scumbag Jin Zhan. Now is a good opportunity to start a new relationship! Mr. Song looks like a good man. Do you want to consider him?”
Lu Zhen found it funny. She didn’t know how Sun Xiao could tell that Song Jia was going to woo her, but her attitude towards her could only be considered polite.
However, she also knew that Sun Xiao was probably afraid that she would be too sad after breaking up with Jin Zhan, so she said these words to divert her attention.
After all, Sun Xiao had followed her for so long and knew very well how much she used to like Jin Zhan.
But that was all in the past. She no longer felt sad when she saw Jin Zhan. In her eyes, he was just a passerby.
“What are you thinking? It’s not like I can’t live without a man. Don’t worry, I don’t like Jin Zhan anymore, and I won’t be sad because of him. As for Mr. Song…” Lu Zhen didn’t want to say anything at first, but after some thought, she gave Sun Xiao a hint. “Do you remember that he said he was the assistant to the chairman of Jia Le?”
“Yes, yes!” Sun Xiao nodded vigorously. Suddenly, she understood something. “Sister Zhenzhen, are you thinking of…”
Lu Zhen gave Sun Xiao a look. “It’s good that you know about this. I’m not sure yet. I’m just giving myself a way out first.”
She had to leave Lu He and Wu Yu’s company. As for where she was going after leaving, she hadn’t thought it through yet.
Jia Le was naturally a good choice, but there was no shortage of popular celebrities in Jia Le. If she couldn’t get good resources from Jia Le after she went there and could only be reduced to a small celebrity who played supporting roles for others, she would definitely be unwilling to accept it.
The entertainment industry was a very cutthroat place. Beautiful faces were too common. Some newcomers were even as good-looking as top celebrities, but they just didn’t have good resources.
Capital determined the fate of an entertainer.
Lu Zhen was already considered lucky. She had natural beauty and superb acting skills. She was destined to become famous, but she also needed a better opportunity and platform. Otherwise, there would be many more artistes waiting to outshine her. Those rivals were not to be underestimated. The female lead role that belonged to her today might belong to someone else tomorrow.
“I hope Song Jia can help me,” Lu Zhen thought.
