Chapter 551

When the wardrobe door was open, Silas instinctively looked up. Seeing it was Eliana, he heaved a sigh of relief.

Eliana was also relieved to find him and her eyes lit up. She was about to call him, but he quickly shushed her.

He didn’t want to be found.

Eliana understood and nodded.

At this moment, a maid’s voice came from the door. “Miss Pierce, is he in the room?”

Looking at Silas who was so pitiful right now, Eliana shouted at the door, “I’ve searched the room, but there’s no one here.”

The sound of footsteps at the door grew more and more distant. After everyone looking for him left this floor, Eliana took Silas out of the wardrobe.

“Why are you hiding in here?” Eliana asked gently.

Silas looked extremely embarrassed and his face was red. He lowered his head and mumbled, “Miss Pierce, I’m sorry…”

“What are you apologizing for?” Eliana was confused.

Sobbing, Silas explained, “Because I made a mistake. I know you wanted to hide from my uncle, but because I secretly went to see Aileen and Adrian, he found them. Miss Pierce, I’m sorry. I didn’t have many friends growing up, and I am very fond of them. I missed them too much and went to see them.”

Eliana was stunned. So this was the reason why he was apologizing?

Eliana smiled and stroked Silas’ head.

“It’s alright. You don’t have to apologize to me for this. Actually, I am the one who has to apologize to you. I didn’t know taking Aileen and Adrian away would hurt the three of you so much. I’m sorry…”

“No, no!” Silas interrupted her at once. He raised his head and said seriously, “Miss Pierce, you did nothing wrong. It was all my fault!”

What a lovely child!

Eliana felt her heart melt. She squatted and hugged Silas tightly.

“Silas, I promise that whatever happens between us adults in the future, it won’t affect your friendship with Aileen and Adrian. You will always be friends. Okay?”

When Eliana hugged Silas, the little boy’s body stiffened and he looked stunned. As Eliana finished her words, his face slowly turned red.

He really liked Eliana, Aileen and Adrian.

The warmth of a motherly embrace was all he needed. He buried his head in the crook of Eliana’s neck and said shyly, “Okay. Thank you, Miss Pierce.”

Eliana finally let go of him and softly pinched his small cheeks. “Promise me you won’t hide like this anymore. Okay? Go to school now.”

“Okay.”

Silas was very excited all of a sudden and he smiled happily. Now he knew he and the twins would be friends forever.

The servants heaved a sigh of relief when they heard that Silas was found and willing to go to school now.

Eliana helped him pack up his schoolbag and walked him to the door.

Silas was about to get in the car when something occurred to him. With a hesitant expression, he ran back to Eliana and said in a low voice, “Miss Pierce, I went too far just now. My uncle is actually a nice person…”

Eliana paused for a moment and then couldn’t help laughing.

“I understand. You are his family. He loves you,” she said in a low voice.

Of course she knew that Maurice was not a bad person. However, his quick temper would really hurt his family at times.

As he looked at the beautiful smile on Eliana’s face, a glimmer of hope rose in Silas’s heart.

“Miss Pierce, will you also be my uncle’s family one day?”

He really hoped that Eliana would marry his uncle. In this way, they would all be family, together with Aileen and Adrian. Then they would never be separated.

However, Eliana didn’t say a word this time. She had mixed feelings.

At that moment, Maurice came over and said sternly to Silas, “Why are you still hanging around? Go to school.”

Silas snorted and ran away, ignoring Maurice.

Maurice looked helpless as he watched the little boy run away angrily.

Silas was actually Maurice’s late sister’s only child. What could he do about him?
