Chapter 1194: Stealing Energy

Time flies when everyone was having fun. Everything was as cool as a cucumber. Jiang Fei and Hua Mulan were hitting it off and according to 0543’s analysis, Hua Mulan would be ready for transmigration to the real world.
Besides Hua Mulan, Jiang Fei had arranged for the revival of the rest of the New Saint’s Guard. Even though he already had more than a hundred lower-ranked martial artists under his wings, Jiang Fei could not befriend all of them. Even if he did, there was no absolute certainty that they would all be loyal to him. It was hard for them to earn Jiang Fei’s trust.
Truthfully speaking, Jiang Fei wanted nothing more than to grow his own troops but if he had included the Naga Priestesses, things would be messy. Or, in the worst-case scenario, bloodied. Jiang Fei was too worried about Isabella.
By the end of the week, Hua Mulan was ready for her revival but there was a problem. Energy. The one problem that would always come creeping back to him was the lack of energy. With the backup Teleportation Core, Jiang Fei was “earning” 100,000 Energy Crystal in a day. Even so, it was merely a drop of water compared to the sea of requirement.
Jiang Fei was prepared for the revival of the New Saint’s Guards. While courting Hua Mulan, he had also brought along a small group of female knights. These knights could never reach the limit of emotional attachment of Hua Mulan. They could never survive being subjected to a Level 5 body. Still, as long as Jiang Fei could get them to reach Infatuated level of relationship with him, he could revive all of them at the Pinnacle stage of Level 4.
Having mastered the technology of Bio-Human creation, Jiang Fei had already revived Hong Yu and her team of 20 or so soldiers to help him before. They were all completely left out during the war in the Winter Islands before Jiang Fei had deemed it so. They were too weak to do anything then. However, to compensate that disparity of power, Jiang Fei had prepared weapons for Hong Yu’s team, allowing them to gain stronger fighting power compared to the lower-ranking martial artists. Hong Yu and her team would be able to subdue any opponent, as long as they are not of Level 5.
“Ariel, Bella, I need both of you to accompany me for a bit. We are going to visit Akatziris,” said Jiang Fei. He was not confident enough to launch an attack, to steal the Unknown’s energy stash. Hence, he thought of having a shot with Akatziris, asking for her help once more.
“Darling! I would go too!” Sylphy shot to her feet and flash-stepped to Jiang Fei’s side.
“Be good. You and Nina are to stay back and guard the house. We will be back before you know it,” said Jiang Fei. To be honest, Jiang Fei had only wanted Ariel and Isabella to come because he loved them both more than the others, but that was not the sole reason.
Jiang Fei did not want to wrong Akatziris in any way. Taking Sylphy with him to visit her might only offend Akatziris since she was not used to having too many Level 5 coming with Jiang Fei. Jiang Fei was not going to risk it since Braveheart mk.2 was still in construction and in Akatziris’ possession. Jiang Fei wanted nothing more but to revive 0541 back by seizing control of the ship and taking over it as the ship’s official captain. Anything could go wrong and if Akatziris deemed it so, Jiang Fei could never set foot in the moon base.
That was why he had brought Isabella along. Akatziris might still be hovering in between ally and enemy status but Bella was her younger sister. The two share a bond that Jiang Fei could utilize. Sylphy, on the other hand, was a complete stranger. If things went south, she might ignore the diplomatic way of solving it and instead rely on her fist and dagger.
Ariel was brought along as insurance against Isabella herself. Even though Isabella was more than capable of teleporting, she was not as good as Ariel. In case of an ambush, Ariel could instantly teleport everyone back to Earth in a flash. Having to fight Akatziris and her men in the moon base would be dire since Jiang Fei, Ariel, and Isabella were still living beings.
On the one hand, not taking Sylphy was a better idea since Isabella and she were always at each other’s neck. Before Akatziris could even do anything to him, the two babes might already have a go at each other.
Having Sylphy alone at home was not good enough for him. Three was already a crowd hence he had decided to have Nina stay at home.
“Leave the house to me. I’ll make sure nothing will go wrong,” said Nina with a gentle smile. Of all the girls, Jiang Fei had really preferred Nina and Ariel since they were both emphatic and understanding. Most importantly, she was the kind that would simply seize the chance to spend time with Jiang Fei.
“I am grateful for this, Nina. Also, please keep an eye out for Sylphy. Do keep her away from trouble,” said Jiang Fei before leaving the base in the Winter Islands.
“Tsk… Fine, I’ll be good,” Sylphy grunted and stomped her feet like a little girl. If Jiang Fei did not ask Nina to keep an eye on her, she would immediately enter stealth mode and follow Jiang Fei.
After traveling to the moon for so many times, Jiang Fei and the others had gotten used to the procedure. Ariel teleported everyone to the far edge of the Winter Islands, where Akatziris’s men had already built a small base. Once they arrived, the operators there contacted Bennette Straz.
“It’s always nice to hear from you, Jiang Fei. How have you been?” Straz replied with a bright smile, as if nothing such as the previous betrayal has ever taken place.
“Don’t waste your breath. Take me to the base, I want to check on Braveheart’s progress,” said Jiang Fei sternly. He did not bother to inquire about Energy Crystals to him but instead using Braveheart as an excuse to visit the base. He had already decided to discuss with Akatziris about the issue.
Jiang Fei’s plan was rather straightforward. When an opportunity presented itself, Jiang Fei would steal Akatziris’s Energy Crystals. It would not matter if his gambit was caught by them once the Energy Crystals were deposited into the ring.
Right now, the relationship between Akatziris and Jiang Fei was… hanging by a thread—a very thin thread. They were only forming an alliance because they shared a common, powerful enemy. Even if both sides had to take advantage of each other, as long as the damage was not too severe, both sides would brush it off as minor casualty. Both Akatziris and Jiang Fei recognized that if they started to fight each other, they would only be benefiting their mortal enemy, the Divine Light God and the Mutant Brotherhood.
If Jiang Fei’s objective was accomplished, he could acquire a large amount of energy and having retribution with Akatziris. If Akatziris had protected her stash of Energy Crystals tightly, not allowing Jiang Fei to even get close to it, Jiang Fei would then attempt to discuss with Akatziris to borrow some. And if that failed, he would then have to rely on the plan to work with Akatziris to launch another attack to another Unknown’s base to steal more Energy Crystals.
All three plans were viable. The first two plans were of low risk and low success rates. The third one was the worst of all since the risk was too high and the aftermath would be dire if things went south.
