Chapter 40: Surprise In Wedding Dress 

Serena's POV:

The Luna Ceremony was capped off with a night of dancing.

People of all ages danced together on the square.

Peter and I were dancing, too, with others who climbed up on stage with us.

I saw Alvin invite Tessa to dance with him, but she declined.

A small, bitter smile appeared on my lips Quite frankly, I thought Alvin deserved it.

He still had a lot to prove to Tessa.

A waitress holding a tray of beverages suddenly walked past me.

Of all the people on the stage, she stuck close to me, which was very suspicious.

Then, I felt an unfamiliar hand on my waist.

All of a sudden, the waitress had her hand at the bowknot of my dress.

It was a good thing that Peter's reflexes got him to catch her hand before she could do anything.

"What do you think you're doing?" Peter asked in a low voice, careful not to make a scene.

He then pretended to order the waitress to serve the guests at the grandstand, but actually he was just getting her away from me.

Alvin also sensed this trouble and reacted quickly.

He caught the tray of the waitress and escorted her off the stage.

It suddenly dawned on me that the waitress was one of the she-wolves who also attacked me and Tessa the other day.

"Don't worry, Peter." I smiled gratefully at Peter who looked a little flustered from panic, but soon recovered.

We continued on with the night, singing and dancing our hearts away.

"Serena, just imagine what would have happened, if that waitress had really got a hold of that bowknot.You'd be exposed in your underwear onstage.And all the cameras will be able to capture and broadcast it live!"

"Well, what's so wrong with that? I think it's a good opportunity for the pack to know how sexy their Luna is!" I giggled, teasing Peter.

"Are you nuts? No! That is for my eyes only.Let me guess, Kate was the one behind that dirty trick, right?"

"Yes, yes it is. No one else," I sighed and looked into Peter's concerned eyes.

"If she doesn't stop with all this, I might just have to expel her from the pack..."

"Hey, why don't you try pulling the bowknot, my Alpha?" I put Peter's hand on the bowknot of my dress.

"Wait, what?" Peter looked at me as if I was crazy.

"I'm your Luna, Peter.I knew what Kate was planning all along.In fact, I came prepared."

"Serena, are you sure of what you're asking me to do?"

"Yes, yes.Now hurry up, it's actually pretty warm in this dress.Get ready for a surprise." I turned to the DJ and gave him a nod.We had already agreed on this beforehand.

The regular dancing music was smoothly transitioned into the passionate sound of the tango.

I let go of Peter's arms and signaled him to do it.He obediently did as told and pulled the bowknot on my waist.

As the extravagant dress slipped off of me, I spun around to make the reveal more dramatic.I smiled, knowing it had all been caught on the big screen.

Everyone was horrified initially at the sight of the Luna slipping out of her dress in public.

But then they all saw that I was still completely clothed, now wearing a wine-colored strapless dress perfect for the dance.

The crowd cheered and then changed their dance.

"What a pleasant surprise, honey.That was brilliant! And you look completely ravishing in this red dress." Peter looked me up and down with lust.

As he pulled me closer to his body, I felt the hard bulge that was poking me through my dress.

"Watch your step now, Alpha.Follow my lead."

"Wow, so it seems you know how to tango.Where did you learn to dance, honey?" Peter was shocked.

"I danced a lot when I was a child.Later on, I learned more dances on YouTube.I learned all by myself, sometimes with a chair as my partner."

"Honey, you are truly a genius."

~Flashback~

Back in the changing room of the beauty salon...

"Damn those bitches! I knew they were up to no good."

"What were you saying, Serena? What do you mean?" Anita raised her eyebrows.

"I was talking about this wedding dress.Now I know why Kate was so firm on recommending this dress to me that day.Just a while ago when I passed by her, I was able to read her mind and discovered that she and her friends were planning to play a trick on me."

"Wait, what trick, Serena?" Patricia's curiosity led her to ask.

I then pointed to the bowknot of the dress.

"Are you saying that...they wanted you to make a complete fool of yourself during the Luna Ceremony?" Patricia's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Exactly.I'm just not sure who's going to do it.But as long as I wear this dress, they will definitely push through on their trick tonight."

"That bitch Kate! I'm going to teach her a lesson.Ugh, we should have bought the other wedding dress, too! Now what are we going to do?"

Patricia's shoulders slumped.

I thought for a while and eventually decided to let Kate continue on with her plan.

"I have an idea.Anita, could you go to my room and bring me that wine red strapless dress in my closet?"

"Sure, Serena.What are you thinking? Is that what you're going to wear to the ceremony instead?"

"Not exactly.I plan to wear that dress under the big wedding dress just in case they try anything.That dress is very form-fitting.It will be unnoticeable under the white gown."

"That's a great idea.You're so smart, Serena!"

~End of flashback~

Peter's POV:

Serena always gave me a lot of pleasant surprises.

She looked so sexy in that red dress, and dancing so close to her did not help with my sexual desires at all.

I just wanted to carry her back to our room and have sex until we fell asleep.

But there was still one last part of the Luna Ceremony that needed to be completed.

It was the transformation.

We briefly headed back to our room to change into some loose robes, which would make our transformation more convenient.

As expected, Serena turned into a white wolf on the stage, and the crowd burst out in cheers once again.

Molly took a powerful stance and howled at the moon.

It was quite a compelling howl, which got everyone excited.

I then transformed into Nate and joined Serena before others had also followed suit.

We got in formation and began to run together around the territory.

"Pet, come on.Hurry up!" I didn't expect Molly to be such a fast runner.

She was already ahead of the pack.

Perhaps speed was also part of her super powers.

"Coming, baby.Wait for me."

I urged Nate to run faster.

But Nate was big and bulky, agility was not his strongest suit.

Soon enough, I lagged behind Serena and she was getting too far from me.

I immediately asked Tessa to catch up with her just in case.

The wolves behind also followed in our track.

The sight of more than a thousand wolves running together in unison was spectacular indeed.

However, a strong wind started to blow from the mountain, and soon the entire valley was covered in fog.

Werewolves naturally had great night vision, but this fog kept getting thicker by the second.

A few moments later, it was almost zero visibility.A bad feeling started to sit in my gut.

I tried to mind link Serena, telling her to stop.But I got no response.

I came to a halt and roared, commanding everyone to head back and rest along with Alvin, David, and Anita, continued to look for Serena and Tessa through the fog.

My parents insisted on searching with us, but I refused for the sake of their safety and sent Patricia back with them.

"Serena! Are you out there?" I shouted into nothingness.
