Chapter 359 - Little Girls Identity

Chapter 359: Little Girl's Identity

"Not bad…." Max said as he looked at Lisa on the ground panting.

Even though he said that, he couldn't help but feel shock at her improvement. Even though she was near the middle stages of Mid Tier, her power far exceeded the limit, her blows and the vigor of her mana could easily match a High Tier Mage.

'Is the awakening of the crystal heart causing these changes?' Max could only think of that.

"Umm….Can we stop now…."

Max turned his head to look at Janet who had a worried look in her eyes.

"Yeah...it's getting late…." Max said as stopped below picked Lisa up like a broken doll.

When the servants saw the scene of the Young Miss hanging in Max's arm as he held by her waist, their faces twitched and a horrified expression appeared on their faces.

They didn't know what had happened….but at this moment, they only wished that none of the crazy members of the family saw this scene.

"W-What happened to my sweetheart?!!!"

The voice immediately terrified everyone present in the vicinity and they felt their soul leaving….this was last person they wanted to see today…..

Max looked at the Mage King running towards him with a crazed expression on his face.

Janet felt scared as the frightening aura rushed towards them. Her body trembled and she felt hard to breathe.

Max frowned at his behavior and immediately took a step towards the side standing before Janet.

"Calm down….you will kill people at this rate…."

The Mage King immediately came back to his senses and withdrew his aura causing the servants in the hall to fall down onto their knees.

"She is fine. I just took her to work some sweat. She had been inside her room for too long…."

"You call that working out a sweat?!" Mage King asked with wide eyes as he looked at Lisa. It was as if someone had just one-sidedly beaten the sh*t out of her.

Max didn't know how to reply to that. It was Lisa who refused to back down and in the end Max's hand slipped a bit.

"What the hell is the commotion about?" The true head of the family appeared.

It was almost dinner time so everyone was already walking towards the dining room.

"Father! Look what he did...I told you...it was too soon to trust this kid…" the Mage King said in anger. Even a scratch on Lisa was enough for him to lose all his reasoning.

Max looked at him and explained it to him.

"Take her and treat her injuries….." The old man asked the servants who immediately took Lisa from Max.

He then looked at Max and asked, "Did you eat something?"

Max shook his head even though he ate the poison made by Elly.

"Father!" The Mage King looked at him in shock.

"Shut up! What's a few injuries when she herself went ahead with it? Besides, how will she get stronger even without that much hardship…."

Kain who was looking at the scene from upstairs rubbed his ears as if he didn't hear it clearly.

'Is he the same person who beat me for three days….when I made Lisa cry during one of the training sessions?"

The old man would never go against Max at this point. He had seen Max and Lisa's interactions in her room. He was sure at this point, Max was an irreplaceable existence for her… He wouldn't do anything to him as long as Lisa was fine with it…

With the verdict made, the Mage King could only glare at Max…

After a few minutes….

Everybody took a seat on the dining table and Max followed them taking the empty chair opposite to Kain.

But Janet stood there looking nervous. Her eyes lingered on Max with surprise who just casually took a seat.

She knew that it was a family dinner. This wasn't the place she belonged too….and even more so when she considered their level….besides, even when she had visited Lisa before, she always had her food in her room beside her.

"What are you doing? Come and have a seat…." The old man looked at Janet and pointed at the seat beside Max. They were practically family now…..she was her sister so of course the old man wouldn't mind her joining them…

Both Kain and the Mage King were surprised by this…...the old man hated sharing the table with strangers.

Janet looked at the seat beside Max. Even though she was a bit reluctant to sit by his side, she just couldn't ignore after the old man had specifically pointed the seat out.

Max glanced at her and saw that she was clenching her fist while looking down at the plate on the table.

'Well, I can't blame her if she hates me….' Max thought inwardly. Besides, he had taken out a bit on her anger on her somewhere or the other….

He wondered how she would react when his grandfather would bring him to the family.

Well, Max didn't know about her but he would surely enjoy the expression of that cousin brother of his….

Soon, Lisa returned with a few bandages.

"Sweety!! Does it hurt?! Tell me if you feel any pain…" the Mage King immediately jumped onto his feet.

Lisa ignored him as she took a seat beside Janet.

"Are you fine?" Max asked.

"Yeah...it's not that bad…" Lisa replied to him. "Besides, I need to get used to it as soon as possible…."

Max nodded feeling her determination.

Janet didn't know what to do. The Mage King was standing right behind her as he looked back and forth between Lisa and Max as the two clearly ignored him..no...not only them but everyone even including her pretended that they didn't see the mosquito buzzing around.

….

"Where are you going?" The Mage King frowned as he looked at Max walking along with Lisa and Janet instead of heading towards the guest room.

Max looked at him. He was sure that he would rush ahead if he said it. He instead looked at the old man. He had already talked it out with him.

The old man had indeed seen Max's ability when it came to calming Lisa. Besides, she was clearly cheerful right now….

Besides, the old wouldn't be sleeping today. No matter what, he just couldn't leave his granddaughter alone with him. This was still too soon for them. Hence, he planned to keep his eye out and stop if they tried to cross the line.

"He has my permission….go back into your room."

"Father!!!!" The Mage King roared.

"Bang!"

A first landed on Mage King's face and he flew out of the mansion making a whole into the ceiling.

And the matter was settled….

The moon shined in the sky. It was 3 hours past midnight….

Suddenly, Max opened his eyes as he emerged from the spirit world.

"N-no…I didn't do...it...."

He could hear Lisa mumbling in her sleep. Her body covered in sweat as tears slid through the corner of her tightly shut eyes

This was what he had been waiting for…

'It seems my guess was correct after all…'

'Andriel…'

'Yes?' As if waiting for him to speak, she immediately replied.

'Can you seal a part of her memories?' Max asked knowing that she had some abilities in that direction.

'Hmmm...I can't say without trying. But there is a chance that she might get hurt.'

'Why?' Max asked with a frown.

'She seems to possess a higher grade energy. There is a chance of collision….'

'Hmm? Wait! Does that mean you can form a contract with her?' Max suddenly asked in realization.

'It's possible but impossible….'

'What is that supposed to mean?' Max asked her.

'Possible because there are chances of success. Impossible because I will never do it with anyone except you …"

Max knew it was pointless to argue with her. Besides, he had to wait until he met others. There was still a chance that she would change her mind...because they were the same as Max in terms of lineage.

Max didn't know what to do now. He could only think of asking Lisa's father or grandfather. There were only two options available now….either to let Lisa know the truth and overcome it or to find the person who had sealed her memories.

Max walked up to her side and held her hand. This was all he could do now. There was nothing else…..at least not now…

As if feeling his emotions…..someone took action...

Suddenly, the tattoo on Max's chest lit up and the next instant Lisa's mumbling stopped and her breathing returned to normal.

'Sera?' Max could definitely feel that whatever had happened was all due to her.

In the spirit world….

Both Andriel and Leviathan were staring at the little girl with wide eyes. It was just for a second but they had definitely seen it.

A thin figure had formed behind Sera. Golden hair and a crown on her head. They couldn't possibly forget it…..

"Its her….." Leviathan muttered with a baffled look.

"The Sadistic Fairy Queen, Seraphine…." Andriel muttered after her.
