Chapter 371 - Terrifying Head Maid
Chapter 371 - Terrifying Head Maid
Chapter 371: Terrifying Head Maid
Can't be separated, special circumstances.....strangers....this girl....
There was only one who fitted this description…..
'Aria!!!'
Lisa looked at Max with an incredulous expression. How was this possible? The Aria she knew was a warrior, she was someone who never had time for things like love and relationship…even now, aside from spending some time with them, all she did was train with her sword.
No...she couldn't believe it…
Lisa shook her head and looked at Max.
Max frowned clearly feeling her intentions, "I don't want to get that person involved. I shouldn't be speaking in the first place, so don't expect me to tell the name…"
Max clearly wasn't going to delve any further. He was being vague so that even when she saw Andriel in the future, she shouldn't be able to relate it to her.
Lisa knew that Max wasn't going to tell the name but if she didn't know, it would keep eating her up and she might even see Aria in a different light….not that it really matter even if it was actually her…she would still be her friend….but if it wasn't her, it would be wrong to see her differently…..
"Does her name started with the initial A?" Lisa asked as she looked at Max.
No matter how strong Max's mentality was, not even in a million years would he thought that something like this would happen...his brows twitched for a second before it returned to normal.
Lisa who had been staring intently at Max's face noticed it and her heart jumped.
'No way!'
She was right!
"Don't ask stupid questions….its already late, let's get you back.….'' Max said as he picked her to get her back into the room.
He hid the shock that he was currently fi
feeling….he couldn't help but take a glance at her…
Just what kind of sorcery did she use…Was she trying blind luck? If yes, then she was really was lucky to guess Andriel's initial correctly….
After Max left, Lisa couldn't sleep and continued to toss and tumble in her bed.
'Ahhh!!!!!'
'I have to know the entire thing!!!'
She screamed in her pillow before taking her phone and sending the message in her group. She was arranging a meeting tomorrow, she had to get to the bottom of this or she would have trouble sleeping….
….
On the other side, Max arrived at the Lorenz Mansion. With his house gone, he had to live here. Not to mention, they had even taken the few of his stuff he kept back at the apartment.
It wasn't a problem for Max to enter the mansion as he had identification as a servant. Besides, the guard who Max met was the same one he met in the morning. So he obviously knew Max and hence he passed with ease.
'Let's sit here and spend the night in the spirit world…..' Max thought as he took a seat on one of the benches which were placed in the courtyard.
He didn't want to bother anyone so late at night especially when he was at fault.
As Max sat on the bench, he sensed someone approaching.
"Oh...what are you doing here, Max?" Max looked at the Ifrit staring at him in surprise.
"Ah, I was just here to get some fresh air…" Max said with a smile.
Ifrit smiled as he came and sat beside Max.
"Fresh air...hmm?" Ifrit said as if in deep thought as he looked at the sky.
"Is something wrong?" Max asked, hearing him mumble. Since he was already mumbling loud enough for Max to hear, he didn't mind asking.
"Nothing….even this fresh air can't calm me…." Ifrit said with a smile as he shook his head.
Max looked at him in surprise. He could see the sadness in his eyes. But why was he telling him about it?
'Do I need to comfort my natural enemy?' Max thought as he looked at him. Was it possible that this guy had found something about Max and was intentionally acting?
"Why? I think it's not that bad…" Max said as he looked at him.
"It might not be a problem with the air, maybe it's just me…" Ifrit said as he got up.
"It's late, you should go and sleep." Ifrit said as he threw the key towards Max.
"It's the room beside mine, you can just knock on my door if you need any help. And the servant rooms are downstairs…at the very end of the hallway….."
Max took the key and looked at him. This guy knew from the very beginning that he wasn't just here for fresh air.
"Let me give you some advice as an Elder brother….today you broke a rule. It's past 1. In normal circumstances, you have to be here by 11...but since Head Maid said you are a mage, you will be given an additional limit and hence it's 1 Am."
Max knew it was way past that time.
"Since the head maid is busy tomorrow with Sir Sirius having some guests, she asked me to look after you….so you don't need to worry. I won't be harsh...so be at ease." Ifrit said with a smile as he brushed Max's hair.
Max was in a daze. Since he never had an elder brother, be never how it felt..but it surely shouldn't be much different than this..
This guy was really good at acting….
"Don't break any rule from now on, you don't know....but the head maid is terrifying..." Ifrit said with a serious face.
Max really felt that he was being genuine. This guy was afraid of a middle age lady...Max really didn't know whether to laugh or cry....
After that, he said a few more words, Max left.
Ifrit looked at Max's back and mumbled, "Why does he feel so different?"
He then turned his head and started back at the night sky, no one knew what was going through his head.
….
When the next day arrived, Max was planning to go out but was stopped at the main door by the Head maid. She was the beautiful maid who had led Max when he came first.
"Where are you going?" She asked, looking at him.
Max was sure unlucky to have met her early in the morning.
"Umn..I am out for morning training." Max said with a smile.
"Hmmn...but I saw you return earlier all sweating….." She said staring at him.
Max froze. His lie was caught…...but he was sure that no one was there when he came back.
Max didn't know that she hadn't seen him. But never underestimate the head maid. When she went to take a bath in the morning, she had clearly seen the signs of someone already being in there.
Not to mention there were signs of someone using the detergents as it was clearly reduced.
The servants had four bathrooms which was clearly lacking in number. The head maid always used the first one and as a sign of respect, the servants never used that one giving her special treatment.
Of course there was only one person who didn't know about it, the newbie….
So, when she saw that Max was coming out, she instantly knew it had to be him. Among the servants, she had always been the first one to wake up and now Max was up as well….
"Ah…I forgot...it seems…" Max scratched his head.
"Hmph! I know that you were late yesterday. I plan to let Ifrit handle it but since you are already here….I will handle it myself."
Max knew he was in trouble. She really changed, when Max wasn't a servant, she really was a sweet nice lady….but now he only had one word looking at her cold expression…
Terrifying…
…
"Let's shift it to evening, I can't come now…" Max said on the phone. He was really happy when he thought of meeting them but now he had to push the plan.
"Sigh….Well it's already been so long… a bit more I guess…" Max said as he went back into his room to get charged.
….
A few hours later…..
Edwinson House, Capital.
A few interesting people had gathered here and seemed to be in deep discussion.
"Impossible!"
"It can't be true…..you must have misunderstood it."
"No..No...I am 90% sure…."
"That means that 10% is the truth…"
"This is just too ridiculous….you know…''
"I hope so too….we will find out in a bit though…"
There were three people in the room who seemed to be engaged in a fierce discussion which seemed to contain the truth of the world.
These three were Lisa, Janet and Elly.
"Where is Aria? I thought she was with you?" Lisa said looking at Janet.
"You know how she is….she is out with her sword, challenging the Arena nearby. She said she will be back soon…." Elly replied.
The Edwinson's naturally had an Arena too. When Aria arrived, she first went to look at it…...after all, it had been a long time since her last visit.
