Chapter 644 - Win Or Loss?

Somewhere in Trinity..

A While ago..

"We will be changing things Arnold. Your fight will be in the light now. It's time for you to come out of the shadows." James passed on the message before putting the transmitter down.

He then laid his back on his chair staring at the ceiling, "So, it came to this in the end."

"Max Edwinson…"

The name has appeared again and again.

James was now sure that he was probably onto some lead that would most probably lead Max to him. After all, he even had the support of the Ancient Families.

"I will accept you as my rival.."

A smile suddenly appeared on James's face.

"I bet you are happy now. But, are you sure it was your win?" He suddenly got up and straightened his back. He then turned his head below to look at the picture on his desk.

It belonged to Lear.

"Sometimes, the unexpected occurs." He raised his hand and as a pitch black sphere appeared around his palms and the picture was torn to shreds before getting sucked into it. "Now, what will you do?"

….

On the other side…

Max stood behind Roman as a deadly silence engulfed the place. He had killed one person, it was obvious that things had gone too far to opt for a peaceful solution now.

"You have attacked and killed one of the Elder's on a baseless accusation. Do you know what that means?" Omen asked Roman with a deadly glare.

"It means that you are no longer a person fit to be the Lord. And, in this case of emergency, I remove you from the position of the Lord, Roman Roxley!" Omen shouted in a rightful manner. He was trying his best to suppress his happiness, but his lips were still curling up unconsciously.

Who would have thought that the Roman would lose his calm and kill an Elder like this? Not to mention, he didn't have any evidence for the accusations.

Things were going in Omen's favor...at least he thought that they were...

"We have all the authority to kill you now."

Omen looked at Roman and pulled his weapons out from his storage artifact.

"Hahahaha!!!"

Roman couldn't help but break out in laughter looking at Omen, who was getting all excited over the prospects of killing him.

"What's so funny?"

Omen glared at Roman with killing intent and so was the other remaining Elder. They were no longer hiding it at all. Their intention to kill was laid bare.

"Why is it not funny?" Roman asked the two as he finally calmed down. "You two idiots don't realize it, but how much stronger are you two in comparison to that guy?"

Roman pointed to the ground below and the next instant, the two people's faces changed. It was now that they realized what the problem here was.

The guy who had died was obviously the weakest among them, but if you ask by how much. He was probably not that weak. And, yet he still got killed in an instant.

What did that mean?

"Gulp!'

The two of them gulped and raised their heads to see Roman in the air with his arms folded. The aura leaking out of him suddenly changed. It increased to the point that it became something much stronger than that of Grandmaster Tier.

'Supreme!'

Both Omen and the Elder's eyes turned wide. And, they knew that their chances of killing him had gone to zero while that of escaping had fallen by half.

Roman was grinning from ear to ear looking at the two people sweating profusely. One could tell from the grin plastered over his face that he sure was enjoying revealing his strength for sure.

The two were probably looking for an escape when Roman finally spoke, "How about we make things interesting?"

"Let's play a game, I will not use my hands. If you two can even touch me, I will let you leave. But, if you try to escape, then don't blame me…"

With that Roman pulled his hands behind his back and looked at the two men.

"You sure about it?" Max couldn't help but ask him. After all, mistakes happened, was he really going to let them go if he got touched?

"Just watch," Roman muttered in a low voice.

Omen exchanged a look with the Elder by his side. There was no telling how much truth was there in Roman's words. But, they could surely make use of this opportunity and injure him while the guy was flowing with overconfidence.

The two of them nodded looking at each other.

"Whoosh!"

There was no sign of any start, and the two immediately moved. They still seemed to be judging the water and had kept enough reserve energy to turn around and run if Roman went back on his words.

Roman moved as well with Max's figure wrapped in his mana following closely behind.

Omen came in, wielding a pike, and aimed straight for Roman's throat while the other Elder flew above their heads with lightning gathering in front of him.

"Too slow.." Roman muttered calmly as he just tilted his head and dodged Omen's attack. And as the guy followed the inertia and came towards Roman, a knee landed into his stomach and his eyes almost rolled behind.

There were even crackling noises. Only God knew what had happened inside his body.

Before Omen could fly away from the impact of the knee, Roman immediately tiled behind and shifted the direction of Omen's crash course. He then proceeded to put a bit more strength into his knee, sent him crashing into the person above.

"Thud!"

The two collided in mid air, and were sent flying a distance before finally managing to stabilize themselves.

"Is this all you two got?" Roman smiled at the two. He was clearly looking down on them.

The two of them were immediately enraged.

If not for the fact that Roman was stronger than them, they would have rushed to tear him apart.

"Whoosh!"

Roman's suddenly disappeared and the two immediately felt a chill climbing up their spine.

"If you people won't make a move, I will.."

"Bang!"

Roman kicked Omen's back with full force not holding back in the least bit. There was nothing that he could do to defend himself. His spine broke and blood splashed out of his mouth.

The other Elder immediately tried to retreat while firing a bolt of lightning. But, Roman countered it with ease bringing out a lightning armor of his own.

"You gotta do better than that if you want to use lightning to attack me." Roman snorted as he moved towards the guy with a flash. And, before the person could react, Roman's foot had already stomped onto his face.

"Crack!"

"Whoosh!"

The Elder was sent plummeting to the ground as well and crashed right beside Omen.

Both of them had broken bones and bloodied faces. Roman surely hadn't held back, and it sure was not an easy task to take a blow from someone a Tier above you even if that person had just been promoted.

"It's time to end this..." Roman smiled as he looked at the two people below and pulled his hand back to the front with an evil smile on his face.
