Chapter 671 - Lacking Time
Max's had an extremely ugly look on his face as heard the old man speak.
He could only think of one guy who would use this thing. The person who was from the side of Demons. The one who wanted Lear dead in order to install his own puppet in the Barnes House.
It had to be James.
It seemed Max's suspected was right. It was that b*stard.
"What's the way to cure this poison?" Max asked him with a serious look on his face.
"..."
"Why are you not speaking?" He further asked him with a frown.
But, the old Progenitor just shook his head with a sigh.
"There isn't any know cure to it till date."
"How is that possible?" Max looked at him with a grim face.
"How is not possible? Typhon is a creature that no one could ever rival. It is very obvious if it's poison doesn't have a cure." The old man shrugged, as if it was obvious to him.
"Obviously, if the poison injected is very weak and the person on the other side is strong. There are chances of that person suppressing the poison and surviving. But, unfortunately that is not the case for your friend." The old man further added.
"Are you asking me to let him die then?" Max further asked as he gritted his teeth.
"Do you have an option?" The old man asked with a smile.
'This geezer..' A vein popped up on Max's forehead.
"Another thing, the poison affecting your friend is of metal element. It basically affects people with metal and wood affinity. So, it would be better if you not let another metal or wood variant user come in contact with him," The old man suddenly spoke once again. "Others should be fine.."
"Does it react in the same way that normal element does?" Max asked with scrunched brows.
"Yes, in fact it is even more elemental than you think it is."
"This creature could use all kind of pure elements which made it extremely strong."
"It only had one weakness which couldn't be taken advantage of."
This definitely made Max curious.
"Since this creature used pure element, it could be countered. For example, if you were a water element user, you could neutralize it's fire head. But, then you would be dead from a single attack by it thunder head or any other dozens of heads. So, it didn't matter in the end."
That really was some overpowered abilities that thing had. Hell, even its only weakness wasn't a weakness in reality. If you could count that as a weakness, then every Mage had one. And, that monster could said to have everyone's weakness in his check.
"Hmmn.." Max suddenly frowned as he thought of a possibility.
"If it's elements can be countered, can't we counter its metal poison with fire one?" Max asked as he looked at the old monster.
The Storm Progenitor's face twitched seeing that Max had figured it out because he was being a loud mouth and describing the creature's ability.
"You knew about it, didn't you?" Max asked with dark look on his face. He could tell from his face that the guy knew about it from before hand but had refrained himself from mentioning it.
"Well, it wasn't worth mentioning actually." The old man shook his head with a sigh before further continuing, "The fire which can counter its poison must come from it's head only, other wise there will be a chaos in the patients body with two different energy and it would result in killing him."
"As for the whereabouts of the fire head, it is in the possession of the Demons as well. So, we don't have any kind of access to it."
The frown on Max's face immediately deepened but it still wasn't bad. He at least had a hope now.
As long as they had hope, they would do something,
"Don't think anything funny kid. Besides, even we don't know the exact whereabouts of those Demons much less you."
That certainly was a problem.
"How long does my friend have?" Max asked him.
"Well, it depends on individual and their will power. I can't be sure about it." He shook his head. "But, I don't think its much long."
Max slowly clenched his fist. He really didn't think that the situation would be this bad. It seemed they had to do something quick. They didn't have time to waste.
But, finding out the locations of the Demons would be extremely difficult to achieve.
Max could only hope that Werner, who was being held captive in Mr. Cool's spirit world, would know the location of the Demons. And, they could somehow make him speak.
The next thing would be even more difficult if they completed the first step. That would be the infiltration in their grounds. They would have to collect information, and even build enough trust before they could possibly know wherea the heads of the Typhon were being kept.
Any one of the things here sounded impossible. But, Max knew that if he kept thinking about it like that then Lear would lose his life.
That was one thing he wouldn't allow to happen.
'I will have to discuss it with the other guys.' Max muttered inwardly.
….
On the other side..
Melinda had called Lora to her room.
Roman had actually fled away. He didn't tell Lora about the incident involving Lear, and the girl was starting to get tensed with Lear not answering her calls. It was the same for Max and his other friends. On the other hand, those who did had no idea about his whereabouts.
Hence, Melinda decided to tell her about it before she found out from another source.
"You called me, mom?" Lora asked as she entered the room.
Melinda nodded.
Lora immediately felt a tense atmosphere in the room and understood that it must be something serious.
"It's about Lear.." Melinda finally broke the ice as she looked at Lora with a complicated look on her face.
"Lear?" Lora frowned, and immediately felt an ominous foreboding. "W-What about him?"
"He is in the hospital..."
