Chapter 686 - Arcane Vs Orca (3)

Terry looked below once again, and sure enough, those two had taken cover nearby while Kain was nowhere near.

He slowly took out a few arrows. All of the things had a bullet tied into their body for some reason.

"Don't you dare to miss.." Axel even warned him. Those were his precious bullets. If not for the fact that he couldn't paint it well from his current position, he would have done it himself.

Terry shook his head, as he shot one arrow after another all at their designated locations. He didn't miss a single one.

"Found you.."

A voice suddenly came from behind, and Terry let out a bitter smile on his face.

He turned around, and sure enough, Kain was here.

There was no place for him to run.

He would have to fight now.

At this moment, Eren's voice sounded in the communication channel, "It's done. But, I can't hold on for more than 30 minutes.."

His words immediately lit Terry's eyes, and a smile formed on his face.

Seeing a smile like that, Kain frowned.

He obviously felt a bit uneasy. Normally, this guy should have been anything but this confident.

It kind of didn't make any sense.

"You are not going to fight?" Terry asked him, as he kept his bow away and took an arrow into his hand.

"Come, show me what gives you the right to be so cocky.." Kain's body slowly began to leak out with a destructive aura. The floor around him began to crack and Terry felt a pressure on his shoulder.

'This guy is a monster!' He screamed inwardly. He truly was terrified for once, and what made him surprised was that if this guy was this bad, then what about Max?

He knew that they were very strong, but it was his first time facing one head on.

'I can't give up now. ' He shook his head. Even though he had done his part of the plan, he didn't want it to end like that. He too wanted to fight and test his limits. And, who knows he might even bring this tough guy down if Kain underestimated him a bit too much.

"Whoosh!"

A strong gale kicked behind Terry as he rushed in with the arrow piercing straight towards Kain's body.

Kain acted cautiously, and immediately sent out a wave of destructive energy.

"Bang!"

Terry, who was rushing straight ahead at his top speed, had no time to dodge. The attack struck him, and he immediately felt his organs shake from the impact. A sweetness rose up to his mouth, and blood began to trick down his lips as he crashed into the railing of the terrace.

His body broke the railing, and hung lightly onto the edge. A bit more, and he would be falling to his death soon.

'This guy..' Kain's face turned a bit dark. He sure felt like a fool for taking this guy seriously, he couldn't even take a serious hit from him.

He slowly walked towards him, "You sure acted like a brave one. I will give that to you."

Kain then slowly balled his finger into a fist, planning to end it all at once.

"Whoosh!" He swung down his fist, but his body froze when he heard a strange noise. It was as if something was rushing towards them.

When he saw that smile on Terry's face, Kain immediately realized that it had something to do with this guy.

He immediately grabbed him by his collar and lifted him up.

"Tell me what's going on, or forget about having an easy way out." He had no choice but to threaten him.

Terry slowly opened his mouth as he was about to speak.

But, out of nowhere, he suddenly spat out an arrow head aiming right at Kain's eye.

It seemed that he had broken off the arrow head, and put it in his mouth earlier when Kain had yet to come near him.

Kain obviously was caught off guard, and his grip on Terry's collar weakened.

There was no way that Terry was going to let go of this opportunity.

He immediately freed himself, and the moment he landed on the ground. He was quick to act. He hugged Kain, and immediately pulled him behind along with himself.

It was a suicided attempt with him. He knew that he didn't stand a chance another way.

But, who was Kain?

"Not like this.." He immediately exploded with his destructive energy, and Terry was immediately engulfed in a white light before being pulled out while Kain barely managed to hold onto the edge of the terrace with one of his hands.

"That was close.." His face was full of sweat as he looked below. Even an expert tier wouldn't survive a fall this big. After all, he couldn't fly.

'Let's hurry, this noise is giving me a bad feeling..' He muttered inwardly before slowly trying to pull himself up.

"Bang!"

A gunshot rang, and it tore right through the back of Kain's palm piercing even his mana barrier.

His hand which was holding onto the edge lost its grip. No one could probably continue in that state.

'Damn it!' He cursed knowing that it was all over. In the end, he slightly turned his head and saw a guy in the distance staring at him with a disdainful look on his face.

Axel looked at the guy, and shook his head.

It was a pity.

He was planning to finish this guy in a fashion.

But, after what Terry had done, he couldn't just sit back and allow his efforts to go to waste.

At least in this way, most of the contribution would go to that Terry.

'Well, he deserves it. I sure didn't think that guy would pull something like this off. That was a surprise.'

Axel had threatened them as he only wanted to encourage them. Who would have thought that the results would be something like this?

'Maybe I should do this every time...'
