Chapter 783 - Beginning of the Decisive Battle
"What are you thinking so much for? Were all those words just for show until now?" Arnold asked as he looked at Arthur. He wanted this guy to succumb into his palm, this was his new plan. He had always felt disgusted at this guy for acting the way he did.
How was there not an ounce of hatred in his eyes?
This was just intolerable for Arnold.
He had been living all his life in hatred, and had dedicated it all for the sole purpose of revenge. And, yet these people still treated him like this when he tried to kill them.
This was the reason he preferred Lear, he could see hatred in Lear's eyes, and it had a soothing effect on him.
It was very clear from this situation that Arnold himself was subconsciously aware of his own actions. He somewhere knew in his heart that Arthur, his mother and a lot of other people were innocent. This was the reason that he was feeling guilty somewhere inside, and that was pissing him off.
Hence, he wanted them to hate him, and try to kill him. Because if they did that, then he would be able to give himself another reason to justify his action that he was right in doing what he did.
And, yet there was still no sign of hatred from this older brother of his.
Hence, he came up with a plan. He was going to make him turn into a demon, and then kill that damn woman who made him feel nauseous with her gaze all day long. Acting as if she was truly his mother.
He was going to kill her for sure, and that too while using her own true son's hands. The sight would definitely be exciting to watch. He was eagerly waiting for Arthur to lose himself in hatred, he really wanted to see if this guy could still keep his act up in that situation.
The thoughts inside Arnold's head were true demonic, it could be said that he had truly lost himself by now. And, even the last hope that Victor had seen in him seemed to be losing somewhere.
Bahamut had already told Victor that there was no hope for Arnold. This guy had already planned to kill his mother back in Trinity, and if you said that there was still a chance of him to turn good, then that was bullsh*t. He had long crossed the line of no return.
But, Victor didn't seem convinced, and since he wanted to give it a try, Bahamut allowed him to do so. After all, he wasn't going to act as a tyrant in front of his followers, he just needed to show them that he was the one who was right.
"I don't have much patience. If you don't do it now, I will take it as your denial. After that we fight to the death, Dear brother.." Arnold once again spoke with a smile on his face.
Arthur's expression turned grim, and he felt a pressure on him. His mother had been devastated after Lear went into that state, and now if something else happened to another one of her sons…
Arthur gritted his teeth, and he slowly opened the lid of the jar, and glanced at the thing inside.
A smile leaked out on Arnold's face when he saw this scene.
"Swish!"
Suddenly, the sound of something slicing through the air rang out, and the next instant, the jar in Arthru's hand was sliced right from the middle.
"Splash!'
The fluid in the broken jar fell onto the ground with that disgusting looking heart which was sliced into two right from the middle.
"I don't want to get involved in family matters, but it is different when it comes to the matters of humans and Demons...." A voice rang out from a distance, and Arnold turned his head with an infuriated look, only to see a figure on the top of the rock wall.
It was Fayl Zen, from the Zen House.
He had woken up a while ago, and was surprised to find himself in this strange place. But, it was nothing compared to the scene in front of him right now. He never had imagined that someone who was the son of a Lord, had turned towards the side of the Demons.
Thankfully, it seemed that he had made it at the right time here, or there would have been another tragedy.
"Mind your own business if you don't want to die.." Arnold glared at the guy with killing intent in his eyes. He was so close to succeeding and yet this guy had to come up.
"Your brother is a gone cause, Arthur?" Fairly spoke as he looked at him.
"Let me talk to him one last time.." Arthur requested him with a pleading face.
"You don't get it. He has crossed the line. There is no saving him now. The moment the news of this gets out, he would have his head rolling around," Faryl said as he shook his head. He knew that Arthur did not have any idea about the bigger truth, Hence, he couldn't see things coming.
When Arthur heard Faryl speak, his face immediately changed. Until now he had been thinking that this was an internal matter of their family, and they would deal with it. But, now, things were different according to Faryl.
"What is he talking about? What did you do?" Arthur immediately turned his head towards Arnold with a frown on his face.
"Don't worry as long as I kill everyone else, no one will find anything about it.." Arnold laughed as he looked at Faryl and then at Arthur, "So, what's your decision?"
"This is not a joke, Arnold! What have they done for you to kill them?!" Arthur finally showed angered on his face.
"You finally get angry, but for the sake of others." Arnold shook his head with a sigh, "I changed my mind, I will kill you too, you annoying b*stard.."
