Chapter 819 Miscalculations
'"Stop!! You brat!!!"
Suddenly, a thunderous roar rang through the sky, and the next second the extremely pure energy in the surrounding immediately rushed towards the sky to form a giant flaming hand. The pressure radiating from it was so terrifying that even Max was affected by it. But, unlike others, he was only slowed down as he had a buff against any pressure attacks.
Max's eyes turned green when he saw that the palm made of flames. He knew that if that thing descended, the consequences would be unimaginable. But, he couldn't stop at this moment. His attack was like an arrow shot out from a bow; it couldn't be pulled back.
"You dare!!" When the voice noticed that Max had no intentions to pull behind, the huge hand made of flames immediately descended while the other Mages surrounding Max were all pushed away by the extreme gusts generated by the incoming palm.
'Damn it! I will haunt you if I am dead!!' Max cursed as he felt a scorching sensation all over his body. At this moment, he saw death. He had only felt so close to death once before when he had used the power of Defiance and went on a rampage in Orca.
"Crack!" The Space crystal in Max's hand suddenly cracked, unable to bear the collision between Max's energy and the chaotic energy from the black runes. This once again triggered a strange phenomena, and this time, Max felt it even more clearer than before.
It seemed as if the entire Spatial pouch screamed in anger. It was as if something had interfered with its domain, and hence, it rose in anger to destroy it.
'Sh*t!'
Max realized that he had messed up. From the looks of it, the explosion that was going to occur was going to be at twice as large as the one before. In that situation, he wasn't sure of his survival.
'This is just like defiance, every time I use it, the backlash is stronger…'
But, was there any use in thinking about it now? There was nothing he could do about it right now. All he could do was, grit his teeth and collide head on with the incoming palm and hope that he wouldn't die. Neither from the palm, nor from his own attack.
"Whoosh!"
Max looked at the palm descending on him, and with a flap of his wing, he accelerated at terrifying speed while holding the space crystal in his hand, and when the cracks on the crystal spread to all of it, Max launched it straight ahead at the palm with all his might, and then immediately took the shield out from his spirit world and poured all his energy into it.
As the crystal was about to collide with the palm, the palm suddenly closed onto it. It was obvious that it was only concerned about that thing, and had no intention to go for Max.
"Zmmn.."
Suddenly, the palm made of flames spasmed vigorously and Max felt a blinding light emerged from in between the fingers of the palm which was now balled into a fist.
The next instant, everything went silent and the entire plane seemed to turn white with the blinding light before a thunderous noise shook the land and sky, and everything in the vicinity of a few miles seemed to be blown away to pieces.
"Boom!"
The explosion literally sent a powerful quake through the entire spatial pouch, and every resident of the Spatial pouch had witnessed the explosion from one place to another.
Two figures suddenly emerged in the skies above the now levelled forest and mountains. These two were obviously the Matriarch and her sister.
"This.." Their eyes were still filled with shock which was hard to believe. The Matriarch couldn't help but look at the giant palm formed of flames in the air. It was actually worn out, and there were clear signs of a little damage on it.
This was really hard to believe. After all, who was she?
An apex power house!
That palm, even though constructed casually, still had the power to wipe off Supremes with ease. If it was damaged, and couldn't contain the explosion from earlier, didn't that mean that even Supremes would have been killed by it.
How in hell was a brat able to wield something so destructive? This didn't make any sense at all.
On the other side, the Second Matriarch didn't even give a look to anything in the surrounding area, and had just dived in to search for Max. After all, no matter how one looked, it didn't seem that Max's body himself was capable of surviving it.
"How in hell did he do that?" The Matriarch dispersed the flaming palm with the question in her head. This wasn't a light incident. If someone at Max's level could garner this much power, then the secret must be learned in order to see if they could use it at a larger scale against the demons. 'The brat better not die..'
"No!!!"
Suddenly, a scream entered Matriarch's ear, and she spotted her sister on the ground kneeling.
This immediately gave her a bad feeling, and she rushed towards her, and the sight that appeared in front of her indeed scared her to death.
The Max in front of her was hanging onto life by just a thread. His situation was extremely critical, and to be honest, she didn't think he was going to make it even if treated with the best of their capabilities.
Well, the situation was to be expected, the Master Tier Mages who had been thrown away earlier too had suffered serious injuries just from the impact of the attack. And, most of them had fainted with only a few still remaining conscious.
And, they were all shocked.
None had imagined the situation turning out like that.
"This is all his fault…" The Second Matriarch as her body trembled and a dense amount of killing intent surged out of her. She turned her head to look towards the Boorish looking man in the distance who was still a little conscious.
The man immediately puked out blood facing the pressure, and fear clenched his heart.
"Stop it!" The Matriarch immediately stopped her sister, but she too wasn't happy with the man. But, that didn't mean that they could kill him because of it. After all, it would make people really unhappy. Besides, he was only doing his job.
"We need to get him treated. Let's take him away first.."
The Second Matriarch nodded and then took Max in his arms before moving away.
