Chapter 181: Worse than Beasts!

Last time on The Art of Chaotic Divinity!

Our hero, Ling Feng, stumbled upon yet another unexpected adventure in the Misty Ghost Forest, which resulted in him unlocking the Qi-Refining Primordial Lock, effortlessly vanquishing the third elder, and setting forth on his journey to the Imperial Capital.

As he journeyed, Ling Feng found himself obliged to traverse the Heavenly Forest.

In the Heavenly Forest, Ling Feng encountered a small team led by a captain named Blood Python, who were hunting demonic beasts.

Among them was Blood Python's adopted daughter, Xiao Li.

After two days of travel, the group finally emerged from the Sea-Blue Abyss and reached the outskirts of the Heavenly Forest.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, they once again set up camp to rest for the day, preparing to exit the Heavenly Forest the following day.

Another group of individuals were also searching for a place to settle down, and came across the clearing where the Hunting Blade Team were resting.

The Hunting Blade Team who were already settled down noticed a calvary of about twenty to thirty riders, mounted on a breed of hybrid demon horse and clad in light armor, approaching their camp. Their demeanor was fierce as they urged their steeds to charge out of the woods towards the Hunting Blade Team.

The horses kicked up a storm of dust as they clamored about with their hooves.

"Stop!"

A handsome young man at the forefront pulled the reins attached to his horse, and his spirited horse immediately came to a halt. Behind him, the other riders also reined in their horses and dismounted gracefully from their steeds.

As night was approaching, they also planned to rest here for the night.

The vicinity, where Ling Feng and his team set up camp, was nestled against the mountains and near water, making it an excellent habitat.

"Brother, this should be the Yellow Stone Valley, right? Just one more day's journey, and we'll be able to exit the Heavenly Vein Forest, correct?"

One of the horsemen, a middle-aged man, walked up to Blood Python, bowed respectfully, and asked in a friendly tone.

"Indeed." Blood Python promptly replied, reciprocating the gesture with a fist-and-palm salute and a smile.

The warriors in this calvary were all powerful, each of them much stronger than his hunting team. Fortunately, they seemed to be from a prominent family and didn't pay much attention to the hunting team, which made a living on the edge.

"Thank you for informing us," the middle-aged man said, turning to the handsome young man's horse and taking the reins. With a smile, he continued, "Young Master, we've traveled for a day. Let's rest here for the night and continue our journey early tomorrow morning."

The handsome young man nodded and dismounted, handing his steed to a warrior behind him. Then, he strode over to another spirited horse and smiled, saying, "Cousin, let me help you down!"

The girl on horseback was dressed in white attire, appearing to be around sixteen or seventeen years old, with eyes like stars and lips as red as vermilion. Her fair skin resembled delicate white jade, seemingly fragile and exquisite.

The members of the Hunting Blade Team couldn't help but steal a few more glances at this young lady.

...

As the young lady washed her face by the stream, another girl who was wearing ragged clothes and carrying a black cat on her back, approached.

She fetched water from the stream, dirtying it in the process and inadvertently provoking the noble young lady.

One of the noble young lady’s maids took action to reprimand the frail girl, but Ling Feng couldn't stand by and intervened to help.

He stood in front of the frail girl.

Unnoticed by anyone, a flicker of tenderness appeared in the determined gaze of the frail girl as she watched Ling Feng's silhouette.

Effortlessly, Ling Feng stepped in and swiftly subdued the maid, showcasing his heroic prowess.

"Great skills!"

Observing the scene, the handsome young man from the Liu family chose not to aid his companions but instead applauded.

One can always discern a master's skills by their actions!

Liu Yunfei, the young master of the Liu family from Jiangdu, had undergone rigorous training since childhood, thus his judgment was impeccable.

Ling Feng's recent maneuver, while merely overcoming a servant girl, revealed to Liu Yunfei that Ling Feng's true qi surpassed the ordinary; it was spirit-infused true qi.

Consequently, Liu Yunfei regarded Ling Feng with increased esteem.

"Hi brother, I am Liu Yunfei. May I know your name?"

Ling Feng's gaze turned to Liu Yunfei, privately noting that the young man didn't seem unreasonable. He replied calmly, "I am Ling Feng."
