The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 141

Chapter 141

141 How about I replace you?

The poor shark had been torn into two with its head in the culprit’s hand and the rest of its body was in Zi Han’s hand. He lifted his head and glared at Yi Chen.

His chest fluctuated violently and it seemed that an infinite storm was surging within him. A strong and unreasonable desire for revenge could be seen in his eyes but it would clear in the next. He was struggling between these emotions.

Here is the thing about Zi Han. Don’t mess with anything he likes that included his mech and now his plushy. As long as it was one of his favorite things he would lose his temper. Considering their friendship Zi Han forcibly restrained his emotions.

As long as Yi Chen didn’t further poke at his sore spot Zi Han would let him off unscathed. Unfortunately, Yi Chen didn’t heed this warning. He took the other half from Zi Han’s hand and said, “It’s ruined... I will get you another one. I am sorry, okay?”

Zi Han, “.....”

Okay, so Yi Chen had woken up today and chose violence. Zi Han finally blew up and his logic was irrational. Don’t blame him for this. He really liked his shark.

“You can’t replace it. In my heart it’s irreplaceable. How about this... how about I replace you? How would you feel then? Give it back,” said Zi Han stretching out his hand with an expression that seemed to say, ‘if you don’t give it back to me now we will be strangers from now on’ and he meant it.

Yi Chen was at a loss. How can their newly formed friendship be worth less than a shark plushy? What he didn’t realize was that he was getting special treatment. If it was anyone else Zi Han might have beat the shit out of them and cut ties. At least he wasn’t getting discarded.

Yi Chen reached out his hand to touch Zi Han’s arm and apologize again but Zi Han dodged without any hesitation. Poor Mr. Twiggles hadn’t even managed to survive ten minutes in his custody.

.....

Zi Han grabbed the little shark but because Yi Chen’s grip hadn’t loosened some of its fluff spilled out and fell straight to the floor.

Zi Han, “.....”

His eyes deep and cold he pushed the shark plushy right into Yi Chen’s chest before walking out of the closet. As soon as he stepped out he bumped into two people who had been eavesdropping.

To his surprise, it wasn’t Shaun and Shorty but Shannon and Hela. They had been walking down the corridor to Professor Quinn’s class when they heard screams coming from the robot janitor’s closet station.

Thinking it was some lovers having a quarrel they leaned in closer to eavesdrop. Who would have thought the harvest would be so bountiful? It was the class president and that cutie Han who had rejected him.

“Hem..... cla-class president..... Cadet Han. What an um..... what a pleasant surprise,” said Shannon trying so hard to suppress the corners of her lips that were threatening to quirk up.

“Quite pleasant indeed,” replied Hela feeling like she had stumbled upon a great secret. Like a sly villainous character, she rested her fist under her chin while grinning like a fiend.

Zi Han was still so upset about his shark that he walked past them leaving behind a befuddled Yi Chen holding onto the fallen comrade, Mr. Twiggles.

“And uh.... what is that?” asked Hela as a wonderful story spun in her brain. She imagined an intriguing fanlore in her mind which went like this;

The class president had confessed his feelings to the little cutie Han Han but was rejected ruthlessly with the shark plushy getting torn in two like his heart.

“It’s nothing. Let’s go to class,” said Yi Chen before bypassing them.

Shannon cocked a brow as she muttered, “How strange.”

“Strange indeed,” replied Hela before rushing to catch up with the class president but the man was so fast that she didn’t manage to.

Five minutes later Zi Han was sitting on his workbench while seriously practicing his mech repair skills. D-day had finally arrived and he was expected to show signs of improvement otherwise he would get kicked out of the class.

Despite having argued with Yi Chen, the class president still sat next to him and explained to him if Zi Han didn’t understand something.

It was because of this that Hela got to sit next to Li Ran. At First, Li Ran was thrilled because she sat next to him out of her own initiative. He wanted to sell misery having been pinched by his mother for touching his sister’s stuff.

“Did you like the pictures I sent to you?” he asked trying to lead the conversation in the direction he desired.

Hela was glancing over in Yi Chen and Zi Han’s direction when she heard Li Ran’s question. “Mn....but show some more skin next time. Seriously you even covered your ankles,” she said recalling that dorky picture of his with terrible angles.

Who in this day and age would take an image with terrible angles when they had AI technology for optimum image capture. The answer to that question was Li Ran.

He was the only one who would mess that up. But despite its terrible angles and his weird pose she kind of liked the picture and even saved it in her secret folder.

Li Ran heard this and smiled having seen an opening. “I didn’t have enough time to take a good picture. My mum pinched me hard for it. Look...,” he said pulling up the sleeve of his jacket to show off the bruise he refused to take care of for this very moment.

Hela was about to take a look when she noticed Yi Chen’s knee bumping into Zi Han’s knee from underneath the workbench. Zi Han felt it and retaliated by pushing Yi Chen’s knee away with his leg but Yi Chen didn’t give up.

He lightly bumped into Zi Han again and the entire time his expression was focused and serious like he wasn’t the same person messing with Zi Han underneath the desk.

Zi Han finally got tired of it. He reached out underneath the desk and pinched Yi Chen’s thigh and the class president jolted slightly before expressing his grievance.

Hela’s heartbeat sped up as a smile crept up her face. ‘AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! What sweet fluff,’ she thought as she cupped her cheek with her hand intending to watch them to her heart’s content.

But before she could indulge further in the sweetness Li Ran nudged her shoulder to grasp her attention. “Are you looking? See it’s even purple now....,” he said but instead of sympathizing with him she asked,

“What is going on between the class president and Han Han?”
