Chapter 434
Chapter 434
434 “She gets very hangry.”
The little ball of light felt like it had been dealt a heavy blow. It wanted to ask who this Chen person was but given that it had little time to talk to this ruthless person it could only shrug it off.
“Wow... just wow. You know what... never mind. Forget I asked,” he said floating around surrounded by a gloomy aura.
Zi Han smiled in the dim light before saying, “But you are Pa. That’s what I call you in here,” while patting his chest, “do you see it?”
After saying this he recalled when he was a kid he would sometimes talk to his Pa especially when he saw other kids having their dads in preschool.
From his understanding then a Pa was a person you could talk to and have fun with. Well, at least that’s what his deskmate said so he would talk to his pa every night before bed and snitch on everyone who was mean to him.
This habit gradually faded when he became a teenager but occasionally he would tell Pa all his problems even as an adult. Maybe it was because of the connection between their mental powers that the little ball of light saw his memory.
“Awww, I am your Pa. Now you are making this old man cry... Just don’t complain about your mother to me because I really can’t keep secrets,” he said while floating around happily like a husky high on red bull.
AN: Do not give your dog red bull. It can’t be good for it, right?
Zi Han giggled her eyes watery as he said, “You are scared of her. When she is mad she gets really scary like an angry lioness especially when she is hungry. She gets very hangry.”
.....
Zi Xingxi, “...”
“Even I can’t refute that,” said Zi Feiji shrugging his shoulders. His grandson might be as high as a kite right now or at least sounds like it but he spoke facts.
“I am really not that bad. Am I?” she said and everyone and anyone who knew her looked at her like they were asking ‘are you seriously asking us that’.
“Weeell,” said Lynn Feng while averting her gaze.
“Nope, not afraid though she does look scary when she is hungry. One time she told me to get nuggets and I got wings instead because they had no nuggets.”
“She was two months pregnant then. She just glared at me the entire time while eating them. For two days straight I would feel a cold chill in his back like a knife was being driven into my body. That was terrifying,” he said while recalling faint memories of his beautiful wife.
Zi Han chuckled lightly his voice still hoarse from the crying. The ball of light shone a little brighter while asking him, “Do you feel better?”
Zi Han nodded his head and the ball of light was very satisfied. “Then I will tell you what to do. The only way you can do this is if you let it go at the pinnacle of your three elements. When you have reached the peak of your physical, mental and emotional state just let go. Trust in the sort of warm sensation you will be feeling in your body at that moment. Don’t fight it, just let it flow naturally. After the first time, I promise it will get easier.”
Zi Han rubbed his forehead and asked, “What if I fail?”
“When you think of the consequences of failing I promise you, you won’t fail,” replied the ball of light as its brightness slowly dimmed.
Zi Han bit his lips a little hesitant to ask. He wanted to know if his Pa was really dead. Was Yi Chen wrong? Did he sacrifice his life for nothing? Zi Han didn’t even want to think about it thus he didn’t ask. It was better not to know and still carry hope.
“My little Hanifa can do it. I know you ca-,” said the little ball of light. It suddenly died down losing all its vitality before Zi Han fell back into darkness. Zi Han felt sorrowful but he had no time to grieve. He closed his eyes and exhaled deeply before the simulation started again.
This time things were different. Zi Han still felt exhausted but like his father said he should let it go then he would let it go.
When he opened his eyes he was standing in the red desert again and this time he didn’t run. He stood there his stance ready for an impending attack.
Soon enough the ground beneath his feet shook and the beast rose from the sea of sand with a loud growl intimidating him but Zi Han loosened his muscles staring it dead in the eye.
It was time to stop running and face the enemy head-on. His situation still seemed hopeless as before but he had to fight smart not fight hard.
“Han Han, be careful,” said Zi Xingxi sitting at the edge of her seat.
Zi Han took a step back while he moved his hand behind his back grabbing the hilt of his dagger. He knew that he wouldn’t be able to kill this beast with just a dagger but he could use his environment.
“Come on... come get me you ugly thing,” he said his heart literally pounding hard against his chest.
With lightning speed, the multiple jaws descended from the sky attacking Zi Han but Zi Han dodged in time and rushed toward the creature’s slithering body before it had an opportunity to turn around.
Zi Han engaged his mental power as he leapt up in the air. With a shunk, the blade stabbed into the leathery skin that looked like that of a slug. The creature cried out in pain with a sharp ear piercing cry.
It spun around with vigour and tried to bite him off its body but like a rock climber, Zi Han pressed his legs on the spine of the beast and used the momentum to push himself up. He stabbed the blade into the snake’s body again and this time the dust rose in the desert as the creature wailed in pain.
