The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 443

Chapter 443

443 What sin did they commit to deserve such treatment?

Zi Han couldn’t help but sympathise especially when he saw a little skinny child sitting on the ground crying with his clothes torn and blood at the corner of his lips.

His mother was just scolding him while sitting on a broken stool chewing on something that looked like olive green dry leaves.

Zi Han averted his gaze his heart in excruciating pain. Why would people do that? Why bring children into the world just to mistreat them? What sin did they commit to deserve such treatment?

He hid the pain in his eyes as they continued walking. Soon they reached the biggest building within the confines of the property. The building was no different from the rest except for the size. It was still as dusty and run down like the rest but at least it showed signs of being repaired. When they entered the hall the two siblings were shoved on the floor.

The guard pushed Zi Han as well but he was very sturdy on his feet. He glanced at the man with malice in his eyes. The guard’s heart lurched but he didn’t take it to heart. Who was this person showing an attitude to when he was outnumbered? There was no escaping from this.

Erotic sounds echoed through the thin walls creating an awkward atmosphere. The men around them seemed very excited hearing this despite it being the norm.

Zi Han’s lips contorted in disgust while the pair of siblings didn’t know where to put their hands and feet in embarrassment.

“... Ah ah ah wuwu yes my big bear... I want, I want it,” were the exaggerated sounds coming from the woman. Anyone who had had the opportunity to be pleasured correctly would be able to spot fake moans from a mile away and Zi Han was one of them. It seemed this leader’s skill was horrible.

PA! The woman was slapped in the face hard making the two siblings shiver in fright.

.....

“Suck it well you bitch. If you don’t do it well I will kill you,” said a boorish ugly voice followed by groans and grunts. After a minute or so, loud growls escaped the room as the torment came to an end.

Half a minute later a tall man of about two meters with a fat build walked in with an untied robe. It’s a good thing that he had his pants on otherwise they would see more than just a big jiggly belly. He indeed looked like a tall bear standing on its hind legs. Each time he took a step the floor would make a creaking sound like it would snap into two and swallow him in.

When he sat on the main seat in the hall he called forth Nathan by curling his finger.

Nathan remained frozen in place terrified right out of his mind.

His adam’s apple rolled as he got up his entire body shaking in fear. Nayeli was afraid he would hurt her brother thus she opened her mouth to interrupt but Nathan met her gaze and shook his head. He didn’t want his sister to get in any more trouble.

The one the woman called big bear made him stand next to him and said, “Tell me everything that happened since you left these gates.”

Nathan was terrified but he began to speak explaining how the beast left them and ran after the men holding weapons. He mentioned how they pulled this stranger into the station and knocked him out. He also explained how they tied him up and brought him over to exchange for their mother.

The big man roared in laughter hearing that with the fat on his chin jiggling with his laugh. The rest of the guards standing in the hall laughed as well finding it very amusing.

Nathan reached into his pouch and pulled out three nectarines and the man’s laughter died down immediately. He looked at the dazzling red-purple fruit in his hand and his brow knitted.

“Bring her here,” he bellowed at a few men, and they rushed out of the hall while the leader picked up the nectarines and examined them.

While scrutinising them closely his gaze shifted to the man who had this precious treasure. He was indeed worth exchanging one life for another. They could blackmail his family for money so they could get him back. They could force him to show him where this treasure came from or they could sell him to those rich noble ladies. His face alone was worth a lot of money.

The clanking sound of chains echoed in the room and a woman with a weak appearance entered the hall. She seemed wasted away like she hadn’t eaten for days. They had taken her children from her and wanted to force her to marry one of these barbarians but she refused. Her children were dead, her husband was gone so there was no need to live anymore. She didn’t eat the meal replacements they gave her. She was ready to starve herself to death.

Who would have thought they would come back for her and drag her here? She thought they wanted to humiliate her before she died but when she entered the hall she saw her two children she thought were dead already and broke down in tears. She wanted to embrace them and kiss them but she could only stand there eagerly.

“You can have her. She is at death’s door already,” said the man as he waved his hand and the chains on her body fell.

Nathan and Nayeli rushed over and hugged their mother. She hastily checked them for any injuries but they appeared unharmed.

Nayeli grabbed his mother’s hand and signed, “Mum let’s go now.”

After saying this they turned to leave but the leader suddenly laughed while two guards blocked their way.

“You can have your mother but you can’t leave. You are now under our protection. The only way you can leave this place is through death. Show them to their new quarters and find her a husband.”

Nayeli and Nathan were dumbfounded but they still pulled their mother out. They had to get out of there before the bloodshed began otherwise they would be a burden to Zi Han.
