Chapter 506
Chapter 506
506 How spicy
When the team leader heard this he almost coughed out a mouthful of blood. What did they mean by tattle on him? He didn’t seem to understand what was happening. Considering that this person had harmed the Marshal he couldn’t understand why these two would react this way when they saw that scum, Zi Han.
It wasn’t his fault that he wasn’t important enough to know the hidden details. Those who knew were already looking at him with sympathy.
“Wait... where are you taking him?” asked the young man who had snitched in the first place. He thought he would see the prisoner bruised and battered with at least one black eye but instead, he was being half embraced by the doctor who was meant to be taking care of the Marshal. This was simply unscientific thus he blurted that out in front of his superiors.
“It’s none of your business,” said Yi Feng pushing the young officer away.
“You aren’t taking him. According to the rules he is supposed to be in plasma handcuffs and locked in the brig. If any of you resist this order you will be implicated as accomplices,” said the team leader after catching up.
Doctor Kiet snorted before saying, “Call your superiors and ask them now. Go ahead and tell them who you caught and where you want to put him.”
Seeing the smirk on his face the team leader couldn’t help but furrow his brows a little doubtful. “You stay put,” he said before tapping the side of his ear and speaking while his gaze was focused on them watching them like a hawk.
Li Ran’s mother choked on her energy drink and spilt some on her console. “What the fuck...,” she couldn’t help but say while standing up.
Li Ran couldn’t help but worry while handing her a tissue. “What? What’s wrong?” he asked while wiping the console.
.....
She ignored him and said to the team leader, “You better find him a five star cabin and bring him the finest fruits on board. You can directly displace the former Marshal from the captain’s cabin and give it to him. Tsk you want the entire army to go down with you. I don’t fuckin think so,” before cutting the call.
She directly sat down and started up her updated intrusion detection system. At a glance, it looked like everything was fine but she soon found that wasn’t the case. She placed her hand on her forehead and sighed while muttering, “Lynn Feng.”
“What? What did she do?” asked Li Ran having heard part of that one sided conversation. He already knew who was on board the Cetus warship but he just didn’t want to believe it. If he said he wasn’t scared right now he would be lying. He was terrified of Zi Han for one simple reason.
It was because of that ‘I love you’ he sent when he was pretending to be Yi Chen while trying to lure him into a trap. That ‘I love you’ sealed his fate. He knew if he didn’t write it Zi Han would suspect that the messages weren’t sent by Yi Chen. It guaranteed success but he also had to face the consequences thereof.
Now that Zi Han was on board he wasn’t certain if he would come to him to settle accounts. His mother seemed to sense his fear thus she said, “You should probably hide out in here for a while otherwise you might bump into him and get your ass whooped. You can also get whipped on my behalf. I got him trapped in a simulation where he had to watch Yi Chen die over and over again so... yep. We are in the same boat buddy.”
Li Ran, “...”
While Li Ran was looking for dark corners to hide Zi Han was brought into Yi Feng’s cabin reason being that the good doctor’s cabin was their headquarters and they had done so many things in it that it felt awkward inviting anyone over.
“Sit,” said doctor Kiet while the team leader stood by the door reluctant to leave Zi Han alone with just these two. It just wasn’t safe. He was worried that if anything went wrong the blame would be put on top of his head.
“Just call the former Marshal and fuck off,” said Yi Feng still angered by this man. Each time he recalled how this man pushed his lover he couldn’t help but get even angrier.
Doctor Kiet who was standing while leaning against the table with his palms pressing the edge of the table smiled slyly his eyes like that of a fox. Oh, how he loved it when this man stood up to protect him.
Whenever he recalled that one time when he said, “Leave him alone, he is with me,” he would feel shivers all over his body. He honestly felt like pressing him down again and continuing.
Zi Han looked at doctor Kiet his eyes wide. He knew that look all too well. Damn, now he felt like a light bulb. Why didn’t they just leave him in the medical bay at least then they could continue with whatever it was they were doing?
Doctor Kiet took out a bottle of juice and handed one to Zi Han. “Here drink this,” he said and Zi Han thanked him. When he looked down at the flavour he wasn’t too keen but just when he was about to open his mouth and complain he saw that doctor Kiet was almost pressing Yi Feng against the closed door handing him the bottle of juice.
“Uh... never mind,” he whispered and twisted the cap. Like a baby hearing the sound of a food packet being opened the little Nimsel peeped out of the jacket its meaning obvious.
Seeing its face that seemed to asking ‘were is my share’ Zi Han sighed. He poked its little nose and whispered, “That’s why you seemed heavier. They have been spoiling you too much.”
Zi Han tried to reduce his sense of existence but that didn’t mean he couldn’t enjoy the show. It was like watching the bachelor after they picked the one. How spicy.
