Chapter 540 - 540 "Your daughter will bury you,"
540 “Your daughter will bury you,”
When Yeoh Jun said he would kill him he really meant it. All creepy Ikeda remembered was being pushed down to the ground and the rest was a blur.He subtly recalled Yeoh Jun’s deadly glare as he struck him repeatedly in the head.
He wanted to say he was wrong and beg for mercy but his mouth couldn’t open. He couldn’t say a word to defend himself. At first, he could faintly hear his daughter’s begging cries but those soon came to a stop.
It seemed she was in so much shock that she didn’t dare say a word. Of the two she had mistakenly thought that Yeoh Jun was the good-natured one and Zi Xingxi was the terrifying one but at this moment she witnessed what true cruelty was. This man had the face of the king of hell as he beat her father repeatedly and no one dared to stop him.
There was a sudden surge in mental energy making the people around very uncomfortable and feel an urgency to kneel. Those a rank lower couldn’t stay on their feet thus they fell to the ground and thoroughly submitted to the pressure.
Yeoh Jun who was half out of his mind opened a portal like he was forced to do while laying unconscious in that healing capsule. Everyone was shocked when they saw this including Zi Xingxi. It was like a door to another world far different from their own.
Yeoh Jun grabbed the bloodied prime minister curled up on the ground in pain and dragged him to the portal. “Bring her too,” he said his eyes glowing a red colour to the point that one couldn’t see his pupils.
When they passed through Yeoh Jun tossed the person onto the ground and he fell on the hot desert sand. He only had the opportunity to groan once before he was kicked in the abdomen repeatedly.
“That’s my son! Ikeda that is. my. son... Haven’t we been good to you?” he roared at the top of his voice seething in anger.
“We saved you, didn’t we? And how did you repay us,” he yelled again trembling in anger. He pushed his hair back as he let out a burst of maniacal laughter. If his son didn’t have the mother that he had what would have this filthy beast done to his son?
.....
How was he meant to explain to the ancestors what happened to their bloodline? How was he to explain that he failed to protect him? His heart hurt so much thinking about what sort of future his son would have had.
“You will die here. For the sake of exposing Yeoh Ju, we will keep your son alive and your daughter will bury you,” he said before turning back to leave. The others followed and so did Ikeda Yua. Seeing where they were she could foresee herself dying here.
“NO! I WON’T STAY HERE. I DON’T WANT TO DIE HERE!!!” she screamed as she ran towards the portal. Before she could reach it she was punched right in the face by Zi Xingxi and knocked out cold. Soon the hot desert of the Republic restored its tranquil state as two bodies lay on the hot sand with the sun scorching their faces.
The portal closed immediately and everyone who was still stuck in a stupor hadn’t yet recovered. Zi Xingxi hadn’t recovered either but when she heard a familiar whimper escape his throat she turned to the people standing there stupidly.
“Everyone give us a minute,” she said but they all remained rooted in place and one could understand why. They had never seen such a thing in their entire lives.
Annoyed Zi Xingxi yelled, “Get out! Now!” Hearing her say this they high-tailed out of there as though afraid of demons and ghosts.
As soon as the door closed Yeoh Jun lost it. His knees softened and he collapsed on the floor. Zi Xingxi managed to catch him but they still sat on the ground together.
He couldn’t hold back his tears. This was his precious baby. The child he treated especially well in the belly. He would read stories to him and sing for him while Zi Han was still in there.
When he was rudely kicking his mother he would appease the little ancestor by rubbing her belly. His precious prince that he cared for so much and wanted to leave this chaotic world for was almost defiled by a perverted man and his image was used to satisfy that man’s disgusting obsession.
No matter how much he tried to comfort himself he could not get rid of the feeling that he had failed him. He failed to fulfil his promise and let his boy suffer.
“Xixi I failed him,” he murmured and his wife that was embracing his shoulder from behind pulled his head closer to her chest and whispered back,
“No, you didn’t. It wasn’t your fault. Don’t cry okay.”
She found it difficult to comfort others but each word was coming from deep within her heart. She didn’t blame him neither did Zi Han. The fact that they could have him back was a miracle on its own so why would they blame him?
“I am the only Zi Family member who didn’t get to raise my own son. I failed you Xixi. I should have known things would go this far,” he whispered the tears flowing down his face like a river.
“Everything happens for a reason. Maybe this was the path we were destined to follow so no matter how hard you try to change it it would still happen.”
She rubbed his shoulder and continued to say, “All that matters is that we are together now. I love you so much babe. This right here is the greatest gift to me,” she said and Yeoh Jun closed his eyes asking himself the same question again.
How did he get so lucky? What wonderful deed did he do in his past life that landed him such a beautiful and kind hearted woman?
