602 “Baby, you look perfect”

AN: Hello wonderful people. I would love to thank you so much for your wonderful support through out this journey. As we near the end my heart is sad but all good things must come to an end. Thank you so so much and I appreciate you all so much.

Yeoh Jun was afraid she would cry out and attract the attention of the people downstairs so he hugged her while rubbing her back to comfort her. His expression looked like that of a man at a loss as to what to do.

He had no idea that this was what his son endured. His mother cried like this almost every time she got wasted and Zi Han had to comfort her. Hell even Zi Feiji, her own father hadn’t seen her cry as much as Zi Han had. That’s because when she was a baby she barely cried unless Zi Feiji took her pacifier. As she grew older she wasn’t the kind of child that would cry when upset. She was the ‘sleep with one eye open because I am petty’ type of child.

Yeoh Jun really had no manual to go by and comfort his wife. He just did what came naturally but as a result, his shirt was getting soaked through.

“Baby baby, shh. It’s okay. You can see him whenever you want. You don’t have to be sad,” he said but it seemed his words only made his wife cry some more.

While Yeoh Jun was trying to console his wife so he wouldn’t make their son sad too, Yi Chen had taken two steps into the bedroom when his heart lurched as he froze on the spot.

Sitting on the bed was the most transcendent and ethereal image. Clad in red garments embroidered with gold, Zi Han was like an exquisite beauty out of this world. In other words, he was like an immortal gracing him with his presence especially when he looked at him with those fox eyes through the thin red veil.

Yi Chen’s eyes stung as he stood there rooted on the spot entranced by his person sitting on that bed. Behind him, several people stood by the door their hearts melting as they celebrated this happy couple but Yi Chen didn’t notice them at all.

.....

In his eyes, there was Zi Han and Zi Han alone. It was as though in this world it was only the two of them left. Yi Chen’s reaction was thoroughly captured by the camera for all to see.

That look of pure love and joy in his eyes was had to miss. His look was comparable to the pure love and joy on a baby’s face when they see their most favourite person. It was a look of bliss and complete and utter trust, trusting oneself to that person.

Zi Han was about to joke that he looked weird with the veil right but when he saw the way Yi Chen was looking at him he found himself unable to speak. His heart was thumping fast and he couldn’t contain the feeling in his heart.

Yi Chen looked dazzling in his wedding apparel which Zi Han expected. I mean his man was very handsome so it was within his expectation but what he didn’t expect was that knowing this person was dressed this way just to marry him would have his heart beating in a frenzy, more especially when he was looking at him like he was the only person in the world.

Zi Han’s eyes couldn’t help but be sour on the verge of joyous tears. He watched on as Yi Chen knelt before him in front of the bed and open his mouth several times like he desperately wanted to say something but he didn’t have the right words.

Zi Han could sense his nervousness from a distance thus he stretched out his hand toward him. Yi Chen whose gaze was transfixed on Zi Han’s face glanced down. When he saw those long fingers stretching towards him, he didn’t know what to do initially. He wasn’t stupid, well, maybe he was stupefied by love so much so that his IQ had dropped to the negatives.

He looked up at Zi Han again and Zi Han nodded his head lightly and Yi Chen touched his hand. The warmth from Zi Han’s hand seeped straight into his heart setting it alight.

He loved this person to the ends of the universe and back. He loved him so much that he couldn’t see himself without him. He just wanted to hold on to this hand and never let it go. Yi Chen rubbed the back of Zi Han’s hand and leaned in close before whispering, “Baby, you look perfect.”

The awws and ohhhs in the background just made this pink bubble scene perfect.

“Chen Chen put shoes on your bride’s feet so we can get you married already!” shouted grandmaster Wayne and Yi Chen showed a bashful smile his ears red while opening the box.

Zi Han pursed his lips suppressing the shy smile threatening to unveil itself in front of everybody. He was so grateful that he had the veil covering his face otherwise every body would have seen the perfect embodiment of a shy bride.

Zi Han unfolded his legs and stretched them out letting him put the shoes on his feet. He suddenly felt like he was reliving Cinderella’s tale only that he wasn’t an ill-treated maiden. The jeers in the background turned sonorous but the two people were just staring at each other like there was no one else around.

Zi Han was so enchanted by this man that when he (Yi Chen) stood up and stretched out his hand towards him he raised his hand subconsciously reaching out to him but Yi Chen carried him in his arms instead. Zi Han didn’t resist at all.

Even if Yi Chen was going to carry him into a pit of fire he would accept it him with no questions asked. The two of them made their way downstairs under the rain of confetti with their family celebrating them wholeheartedly. Zi Han glanced at his lover’s face his heart beating hard aganist his chest as though nervous. Sensing his uneasiness Yi Chen gazed back at him with a reassuring smile further entrancing him.

The spell lingered even as they sat in the decorated hovercar together. Yi Chen kept their hands clasped together the entire way like he couldn’t let him go. He now understood why people married. The feeling he was feeling right now was hard to put into words.
