92 Black Market Shopping
“It seems that you don’t have the ability to control these guns yet.” Shi Man stood up slowly and casually picked up a lighter pistol. There was almost no need to aim. She tapped the panel machine and the bullet drew a straight line in the air, accurately hitting the bullseye.
“These are all good guns, but they’re not suitable for you to use now.” Shi Man put down the gun and saw the stunned people. “Are you shocked just like that? As long as you practice well, you can do it.”
“Boss! I want to learn from you!” Sean admired her so much that he wished he get bring his subordinates to kneel and acknowledge Shi Man as their master.
Shi Man waved her hand helplessly and said, “Put these things away first and run 3,000 meters around the warehouse to warm up. I’ll bring Sean to the black market first to buy some ordnance suitable for practice at your current stage.”
!!
“Is Boss going to the black market? But I don’t know where the black market in G City is hidden.” Sean smiled shyly.
It was a shame to say this. Although they were a mercenary group that had missions around the country, their foundation was still in M City. To the local forces in the other cities, they were like fugitives, so until now, they did not know where the black markets in the other provinces were hidden.
“I know.” Shi Man picked up the mask she had brought and handed it to Sean. “Just come with me.”
“Boss, you even know this!” Sean couldn’t help but let his thoughts run wild. On the surface, Shi Man looked like a young lady who had yet to graduate, but the Shi family had secretly nurtured her like a leader of the underworld. It had to be said that the Shi family’s true motive was shockingly terrifying.
He couldn’t be blamed for thinking too much. Everyone knew the Shi family’s status as the richest family in G City. On the surface, the Shi family’s business could be moved to the sunshine industry mentioned in front of others. However, now that Shi Man had been nurtured into a top killer by them, he couldn’t help but suspect that the Shi family was interested in the gray industry.
Shi Man raised her hand and put on her mask. She snapped her fingers in front of his stunned eyes. “What are you plotting against me?”
Sean instantly came back to his senses. He looked up and saw the faint smile on her face. He immediately shivered in fear and hurriedly shook his head. “How would I dare to scheme against you? Don’t think that we’re doing shameful things, but we brothers are the most loyal. We agreed to acknowledge you as our boss, so you’ll be our boss for the rest of our lives.”
Shi Man looked at his nervous explanation in amusement and waved her hand casually. “I’m just saying and you got nervous. Alright, let’s go.”
Sean did not dare to think too much about the Shi family. He instructed the others to train and sat in the car with the car keys.
Following Shi Man’s instructions, the two of them quickly parked the car outside Venus. After walking into the private room from last time, Shi Man skillfully opened the secret door and brought Sean into the dark passageway.
“Boss, how did you find this place?” Sean never expected that one of the entrances to the black market was in a private room of a bar.
“I have my means.” Shi Man smiled. Through the ghostly mask, one would feel that her smile had a deeper meaning.
The black market was the shadiest commercial street in the city. In addition to the prohibited armaments, some would even sell human lives.
Many mercenaries would choose to meet here to look for business. Most of the employers who could come here were either rich or noble.
Everyone strolling in the black market would follow an unwritten rule and wear a mask to protect their true identity. Everyone walking on the streets was serious and cautious, careful of everyone passing by.
This was the first time a girl as carefree as Shi Man was spotted in the black market.
The vendor who was selling guns raised his hand to stop her. He smiled apologetically and said, “I don’t think you’re familiar. This should be your first time here, right? The guns I have here are most suitable for a young lady like you. Take a look and choose whichever you like.”
Shi Man raised her eyebrows and looked at the enthusiastic boss in surprise as if he had invited her to pick out the gold and silver jewelry that a young lady liked to wear.
Sweeping her gaze across the goods in the stall, Shi Man smiled disdainfully. “Boss, the goods here are not up to standard. If you’re not sincere and just want to fool me because I’m young, I’ll have to go to another shop to take a look.”
“Aiyo, young lady, you have good eyesight.” The boss’s eyes lit up in surprise. He put away his cheeky expression and respectfully made his way into the shop. “Esteemed guest, please come in.”
Shi Man and Sean walked into the shop. The outer area was filled with ordinary sniper rifles. Only when they walked further in could they see items that were barely acceptable.
She picked a pistol carved with golden dragons and roses and looked at it carefully. Suddenly, a cry of surprise came from the door.
“Boss! You promised to keep this gun for me. How can you show it to others!”
The person who came was a young man in his twenties. He had short black curly hair and wore a purple ghost mask. His peach blossom eyes looked over reproachfully, making him look like a fox that had wandered into the mortal world.
