Chapter 96 - 96 Reward Segment
96 Reward Segment
It turned out that his sister was so serious in class. No wonder she could improve so quickly and clinch third place in the cohort.
Shi He was proud and complacent, and the corners of his eyes were dyed with smugness.
In order to increase the fun and interaction in the classroom, the production team had arranged a small livening segment this time. Mr. Geng Hui would ask questions about what he had just taught. The students who answered would receive a postcard with Shi He’s signature and a box of candy.
In order to get his autograph, the students of Class F raised their hands desperately, fighting for Geng Hui to click on their names.
Geng Hui took into account the class’s honor and did not want them to answer randomly just to get an autograph. When the video was broadcast, others would say that the students of Class F were ignorant and incompetent. Therefore, he only planned to choose from a few students who were relatively good at studying.
Thinking of this, his gaze involuntarily landed on Shi Man. When the best in the class came to mind, it would always be linked to Shi Man, but looking at her indifferent expression, she didn’t seem to want to be in the limelight.
He swallowed and chose Su Tang’s name.
Su Tang stood up in a daze and walked to the podium to solve the questions on the blackboard.
The camera was aimed at her from a flattering angle, highlighting the girl’s gentle eyebrows.
As promised, Shi He personally walked to the podium with the autographed photo and candy and handed them to her as if he was giving an award. He lowered his voice and said in a volume that was only audible to the two of them, “Help me take care of Manman.”
Su Tang took it and nodded solemnly when she heard his words. She smiled and thanked him before returning to her seat.
The other students were so envious that their eyes turned red, but they could not openly raise objections in front of the camera. They could only wait for the next opportunity and hope that Geng Hui could take another look at them.
Their desire to show their faces in front of Shi He was already greater than their rationality. They completely ignored their academic results. They felt that as long as they had the chance to be called up to answer questions, Shi He’s reward would be readily available.
Su Tang sat back in her seat and quietly stuffed the candy into Shi Man’s table. She whispered, “It’s for you.”
Shi Man smiled in amusement. “Do I look like someone who likes candy?”
She stuffed the candy back without explanation, making the students behind her want to stand up and say, “Give it to me if you don’t want it!”
Geng Hui had never felt the students’ enthusiasm for learning in this class. He was so touched that he almost cried, wishing that the bell would never ring.
Unfortunately, time was the fairest thing. It would never stop for anyone. The bell rang amid Geng Hui’s reluctance.
When he said the last sentence, “Class dismissed,” the students below could not help but rush forward and surround Shi He, hoping that his gaze would stay on them for a second longer.
Shi He smiled gently and patiently answered a few questions as he walked to Shi Man’s side nonchalantly.
Su Tang tactfully made way. After Shi He thanked her, he sat in her seat and became deskmates with his sister.
“Manman, I specially came to see you. Are you happy?” Shi He lowered his voice and asked softly.
Shi Man looked up at him expressionlessly. Seeing the smile on his face gradually disappear as time passed, she could only sigh helplessly and say calmly, “I’m happy. Third Brother took the time to visit me amidst his busy schedule. How can I not be happy?”
The smile that was about to disappear was completely maximized. Shi He secretly admired his own intelligence. Only he could think of such a perfect idea and seize the opportunity to see Manman in class with his own eyes.
“As long as you’re happy. I brought you a lot of snacks.” Shi He asked the staff to bring over the snack gift bag he had prepared and placed it on Shi Man’s table. “But you’re not allowed to eat too much. You have to eat well, understand?”
“Yes.” Shi Man nodded indifferently.
Actually, she did not have much desire for snacks. However, this was Shi He’s kind intention after all, and in front of the camera, she could only accept it with a smile and act like a weak sister who needed her brother to take care of her.
The surrounding students had already gone crazy from jealousy when Shi He took the initiative to sit beside Shi Man. However, they did not dare to show any dissatisfaction with Shi Man openly now. Otherwise, what awaited them would be the same outcome as Fang Han.
Ning Hui was very surprised that this lawless little princess could perform so innocently today. Before coming, he was worried that she would say something that had to be edited in front of the camera.
It seemed that after Shi Man gave up on Yi Zheng, her lost intelligence finally returned to her mind.
The short break was about to end, so Ning Hui had no choice but to remind him, “It’s time to return to your seats. The teacher will come in for class later.”
Shi He wished he could be demoted and return to Cassel Academy to accompany his sister. However, under the urging of his agent, he could only sit reluctantly at the back.
