Chapter 311: Seafood Allergy

After saying that, Qin Man picked up the spoon and scooped a bowl of soup for Yao Yan.

“Little Yan, try the soup,” she encouraged. “The soup’s exclusive to guests at Tianlun Hotel, and it’s extremely delicious.”

When Old Madam Yao had gone out, she instructed her to take good care of these country bumpkins. The smile on her face widened.

She might as well put on a good show, right?

As long as she was polite, it would all be fine.

“Try this.”

Yao Yan glanced at the crab leg sitting in his bowl when he frowned.

Upon seeing his strange expression, she couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief.

Could the country bumpkin not recognize the crab leg?

“Yao Yan, the thing in the pot you see is crab leg. Perhaps you’ve never seen it before, but it’s really delicious. Why don’t you try one?”

However, Yao Yan made no move to pick it up. Instead, he continued to eat, much to Qin Man’s frustration. The smile on her face fell completely.

“Yao Yan, don’t you like the dishes that your elders have chosen for you? This crab leg is rich in nutrients. If you don’t believe me, then why don’t you ask your cousin, Ranran?”

She motioned to her daughter.

......

Yao Ran had always been very obedient, and from the training, she had undergone, she was obviously the best among the younger generation.

Yao Yan might have never eaten such an expensive dish before. Perhaps, that was why he was so hesitant. It was a good thing that her daughter Ranran was able to each such dishes any day of the week.

However, as soon as Qin Man’s gaze slid to Yao Tang, her expression darkened completely.

That girl didn’t really know any manners!

From the minute she had entered the private room, she hadn’t said a word to either of them—not even a greeting.

It was a good thing they didn’t allow her back home.

A smile appeared on Yao Ran’s face upon being called. “The seafood pot is made of 30 kinds of seafood. A few of them include caviar, deep-sea crabs, abalone, and even the famous Gold Coast Prawns,” she said as if she was reciting from a book. “It’s prepared for at least five days before it’s served.”

However, before Yao Yan had finished talking, he waved a waiter over.

“Do you mind changing the bowl to a new one?” he asked kindly.

Qin Man gaped at the sight. “You—”

“I’m allergic to seafood,” he interrupted. “But thank you for your kindness.”

Old Madam Yao snorted, rolling her eyes. “You’re his Aunt, and you’ve been eating together every year. How could you not know that Yao Yanis allergic to seafood?” she snapped. “If he had simply obeyed you, would you take responsibility if something were to go wrong?”

“I—” Qin Man opened her mouth, but no words came out.

Yao Yan was allergic to seafood ever since he was young, but it wasn’t like she’d remember it!

Besides, he was years younger than her. Who’d take his dietary restrictions to heart?

“He should’ve at least told me the second he stepped inside the hotel,” Qin Man protested. “It’s not my fault for serving the bowl to my nephew.”

Who doesn’t even eat seafood?

Ha!

Yao Rong and Jiang Wanshared a look.

The two families had eaten together a few times before, and it was always this same scenario. Every time, Qin Man would pretend to be generous, and every time, they had to tell her the same thing.
