Chapter 182: Chased Out of the Shopping Mall
The two of them froze as all the guards stood in their direction. They staggered back, unable to take the steeliness in their eyes.
Qin Man, who had finally regained her senses, stood in front of her daughter. “What right do you have to treat me like this?” she snapped. “I am a Black Card Member, and I have garnered thousands of points each year! How dare you allow her to treat me like this?”
“If you two don’t leave now, then we will have no choice but to tie you up and drag you out,” one of the leading security guards said coldly.
The security guard gripped the stun baton in his hand even tighter as if he was just about to use it.
“We can leave!” Yao Ran immediately stepped forward in agreement. After glancing unwillingly at Yao Tang, she slowly held her mother’s arm and pulled her away from the debacle.
It was not the time to stand their ground.
A team of security guards followed them right out the gate until they were finally allowed to walk on their own.
This entire time, Yao Ran kept pulling her insistent mother right out of the door.
Although Yao Ran was unwilling, there truly was nothing else she could do. Yao Tang, after all, owned the highest card membership available.
Staying there would have only gotten them violently kicked out and humiliated.
“How is this possible?” Qin Man whispered through her gritted teeth. She stared at the most luxurious Malls in the world with hate. “How could a country bumpkin even own such a card? Ridiculous!”
A thought occurred in her mind, and her face darkened. “She must have accompanied some old man to get that card. Ha! She may be arrogant now, but I bet she had only gotten to where she was because she slept her way to the top.”
Her fingernails dug deeper into her flesh.
In her entire life, this has been the first time someone had managed to make a fool out of her, especially in such an exclusive area. Not only had Qin Man been chased out by security guards, but she had also been insulted by the country bumpkin she called daughter!
How was she going to survive at the next get-together?
“Earning money with her body wouldn’t last long,” Yao Ran whispered with a sigh. “Her actions would further implicate the Yao Familyif she continued like this.”
Without another word, they strolled back into the car. The driver, noticing their sullen faces, didn’t ask any more questions.
..
“Bye, Grandma!”
Cheng Yan hung up the phone and quickly walked toward the shop. What he didn’t expect was to come across a circle of security guards surrounding Yao Tang. His heart skipped a beat and he raced over to the entrance in a panic.
However, before he could move any closer, one of the uniformed men stopped him in his tracks. There were also a group of passersby looking in the direction of Yao Tang.
All of them had phones in their hands, wanting to take pictures of this new arrival.
“Yao Tang, are you okay?” he yelled out desperately.
Cheng Yan appeared different from his usual noble stature. There was a hint of anxiety in his eyes as he struggled to find her within the crowd.
However, when he managed to see her slender figure standing right in the middle, he breathed out a sigh of relief.
Yao Tang, who had just seen him, called on to the security guard right beside him. With a nod, she allowed Cheng Yan to sprint inside.
The security guard bowed once again at the Diamond Card Owner. “No one in Tian Run Mall will threaten your safety again,” he said apologetically. “We will have five of our best security guards prepared for all your visits for you to enjoy the best shopping experience we have to offer.”
“Hm.” She nodded with a shrug.
The security guard bowed and lowered his gaze. “Please do call on us if there’s anything else you need.”
No one made a sound after that as they all stared in horror at the young woman. Who would’ve thought that she’d be more powerful than all of them combined? Even the shop manager had froze in terror.
The shop assistant hesitated, unsure whether or not he should come forward or stay where he was.
“I’m fine.”
Yao Tang nodded at Cheng Yan, before turning over to the assistant. “Please help me pack these boxes. I’ll be taking all of them.”
