After chit–chatting with a few familiar ladies, Brittany felt a bit off because of her pregnancy she couldn’t stand the smell of

Hannah noticed Brittany’s discomfort.
“Bri, you okay?”
“Just need a bit of a breather. I’ll do to the restroom”
Hannah wanted to accompany her, but Brittany shook her head, “Nah, just chill here be back.”
Hannah hesitated a bit but someone else caught her attention, Brittany seized the chance and asked a servant to guide her
to the restroom
The garden was huge, the restroom situated on the other side. Along the corridor, Brittany walked slowly, the servant respectfully keeping pace.

After the servant left. Brittany entered the restroom. Just as she pushed open a cubicle door, she heard footsteps

“He’s not as the rumors describe, even with the mask on, he’s got a striking aura, is he really that ugly?”
“Don’t kid yourself, the Salters aren’t your everyday folks. I heard Shona Bennett got shot down when she tried to date him?”
“But isn’t Mr. Salter mamied?”
“So what if he is? You really think he has genuine feelings for his wife? I bet he’s just messing around.”
A lady chimed in, “I did some digging, apparently Mr. Salter has a complicated history with other women… Haven’t you guys seen the news? It might be a marriage of convenience

The gossip hit Brittany like a bolt from the blue.

After the women left, Brittany finally stepped out from the cubicle.
After a while, she rinsed her mouth with some water, still feeling a bit off.
She opened her purse, took out a lemon candy, popped it into her mouth, and finally managed to keep her nausen away.
Her make was a little messed up.
After touching up her makeup, Brittany exited the restroom, walking back along the corridor. She saw a man standing al conspicuous spol.
He looked noble and unapproachable.
Tall and straight a glass of red wine in his really manicured hand, his fingers slender.
His gold mask covered his face but he was still eye–catching.
Many famous ladies were eyeing him!

And the woman standing in front of him was wearing a vibrant gown, exuding a proud, noble aura and the characteristic elegance of an aristocratic woman.
Every move she made was textbook elegance.
That woman was none other than Shona
Initially, Brittany didn’t hold a high opinion of Mr. Salter. But as they interacted more, her views of him changed drastically.
However, thinking about his private lide made her feel sightly put off.
Shona noticed Brittany’s arrival. She exchanged a few words with Isaac before turning her attention to Brittany.

“Ms. Bennett, happy birthday”
Brittany gave a small smile, which Shona accepted with a thank you..
Isaac noticed Brittany looking a bit pale, he frowned, “What’s wrong, not feeling well?”
His gaze landed on her stomach. Had she been throwing up again?
Brittany was taken aback by his concerned look.
Why was Mr. Safter looking at her like that?
He was already married. Yet here he was showing concern for another woman’s health. Was that really okay?
