Chapter 735

Emily couldn’t be sure, “Mrs. Salter, we really can’t interfere with the matters of the younger generation.”

“Indeed.”

News of Grace’s hospitalization spread, but very few went to visit.

The Salter family was then under the control of Marcel Salter and his mother.

Those who were friendly with Grace didn’t dare to visit.

Even Joie hadn’t shown up.

However, it was rumored that Leda had a car accident and broke a leg after Grace was hospitalized.

Upon hearing the news, Brittany suspected that Isaac was involved, but there was no proof.

Marcel and Isaac were locked in a bitter struggle, and Brittany was too preoccupied to care. She was entirely focused on the Crown Jewel Design Challenge

When Brittany was announced as a judge, it stirred up quite a storm on social media.

“Is Brittany really qualified to be a judge?”

“Are you kidding? She’s the founder of our country’s top jewelry brand. Her designs sell for a fortune. If that doesn’t qualify her to be a judge, what does?”

“I love Brittany’s designs, but she’s so young. And there’s a potential conflict of interest since her studio is participating in the competition.”

Such comments flooded in, but Brittany logged out of her social media accounts and concentrated on the competition.

The competition was divided into preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds.

The judging panel was comprised of well-known domestic jewelry designers, the oldest of whom was nearly thirty years older than Brittany.

As the yearly Crown Jewel Design Challenge kicked off, countless designers participated, pushing the total number of contestants into the tens of thousands.

At the competition.

Tens of thousands of design drafts were submitted to the judges. The five judges reviewed each one, selecting the most promising entries.

Brittany was a first-time judge, while the other four were veterans.

In the office, Brittany greeted everyone individually.

The most seasoned judge was named Aubrey, a top-tier jewelry designer who had taught at Imperial University.

Aubrey had once been Brittany’s professor. Their reunion was particularly warm.

Aubrey shook Brittany’s hand, “It’s been a while, Brittany.”

Brittany was one of Aubrey’s most promising students. Despite a scandal that had once tarnished her reputation, Brittany had persevered and succeeded, much to Aubrey’s

satisfaction.

“I’m delighted to see you again, Aubrey.”

“Aubrey, do you two know each other?” Another judge seemed surprised and asked.

“Yes, Brittany was one of my students.” Aubrey smiled, “Let’s get to work. We can catch up later.”

“Sounds good.”

The judges took their seats and began reviewing the designs.

The designs for the preliminary round were anonymous, only revealing their creators in the final tally..

Aubrey was notoriously picky, but Brittany was even more so.

After three days and nights, the judges selected over six hundred designs from the tens of thousands of submissions for the semi-finals.

As they finished reviewing the last design, a weary Aubrey said, “Finally, it’s over.”

After looking at so many designs, Brittany was equally exhausted. “Aubrey, it’s getting late. I’m going home. How about dinner tomorrow night?”

Aubrey had a lot she wanted to discuss with Brittany, so she agreed.

Brittany said goodbye to everyone and left the studio.

When she got home, Brittany ate something and was about to go to bed when her phone rang.

“Bri, it’s Lucas.”

Lucas’s voice came through the line, clear in her ear.
