Chapter 287

How the hell did she end up here?

Allison got off the bed and looked down at the white long T-shirt she was wearing. It was long enough to cover her hips and had a loose fit. She sniffed at it, catching a faint whiff of men’s body wash that made her cheeks flush.

Clearly, it wasn’t sleepwear, it was Lucian’s shirt.

She remembered waiting for Heidi by the entrance of Red Jack Club’s underground parking lot last night, expecting to hitch a ride home. But instead, she bumped into a sleazy middle-aged dude with shady intentions. She struggled but got dragged into his car, and everything after that was a blur.

Was she at Magnolia Gardens now? Did Lucian save her last night?

She felt no discomfort, which meant the pery didnt get his way. Relief washed over Allison.

She perched on the edge of the bed. Lucky, the dog, sidled up to her, pressing against her leg, seeming a tad upset she hadn’t paid him any attention.

Allison chuckled, petting his head. “You been here all night?”

Lucky tilted his head up, “Woof!”

She checked his dog tag, noting his birthday and name. “Lucky, where are my clothes? Do you know where I left them?”

She wondered how she was supposed to leave the house wearing just a white tee, a man’s shirt at that.

Lucky tilted his head, apparently unable to comprehend what she was saying. He just wanted to play. And then he walked out

Lucian came out of his study, noticing Lucky toddling up the stairs with a toy in his mouth. He slightly raised his eyebrows, he had just gotten out of the shower and still had a towel around his neck.

Droplets of water slid down his hair, ‘She awake yet?”

“Woof!”

Allison made a quick tour around the room, swinging the door open to reveal a walk-in closet to her left. She stepped in, finding it stuffed with men’s

suits and shirts

So, this bedroom was Lucian’s master suite, and this was his bed?

Her face turned a deeper shade of red, feeling like she was soaked in Lucian’s scent. The faint smell of his cologne mixed with his unique aroma sent an indescribable sense of shyness and ambiguity within her.

Lucky trotted over with a frisbee, seemingly eager to play with Alison,

“Lucky, where’s your owner?” she asked, bending down to take the frisbee from his mouth and tossing it lightly. novelbin

The Samoyed quickly fetched it and returned it to her side. After a few rounds of this, Lucky, tongue lolling out, suddenly barked towards the closet

entrance.

Allison didn’t notice, her attention fixed on the closet, trying to find something suitable to wear

Finally, her eyes landed on a black tracksuit. That would do.

She couldn’t keep wearing this long white tee. She reached for the tracksuit but a wet hand got to it before she could. As his arm brushed lightly against her hand, the dampness from his recent shower and the minty scent of his body wash sent a shiver down her spine.

She clutched at her already short tee, turning to face the man standing behind her.

She stuttered, “W-why are you here?”

“This is my house, my closet. Where else would I be?”

Having just showered, Lucian was casually dressed in a bathrobe, “Why are you in my closet?”

Allison gripped the hem of the tee, trying to pull it down further. His gaze followed the curve of her body, seeing right through the thin fabric of the tee, taking in the fullness of her chest.

Suddenly, Lucian felt a bit dry in the mouth, and his gaze became somewhat intense.
