Chapter 1050

Evelyn could feel the ice in Lysander’s aura, and she scrambled to smooth things over.

“Look, Thalassa didn’t mean anything bad. She just took us out for a trip. Once the trip is over, we’ll head back. The kids were even asking why their dad didn’t come along for the vacation.” she said, her voice tinged with panic, uncertain if Lysander would believe that Thalassa wasn’t attempting to flee.

Lysander was an intense man. His presence was dominating, and his style of action was swift and unforgiving. He didn’t hold back when he beat Callum.

Evelyn was terrified Lysander might harm Thalassa. She rambled on in desperation, hoping to defuse the tension.

But Lysander seemed not to hear her as if she were invisible. His deep eyes locked onto Thalassa as a silent pressure.

The air grew thick, almost suffocating. Thalassa felt a chill run down her spine, her body tensing uncomfortably.

Her anger at Lysander, which had erupted just moments before, was now retreating under his intense gaze.

Though she was in the right, she felt forced to bow her head in front of Lysander.

Her indignation wilted under his cold, penetrating stare. Her eyes dropped, and she nervously twisted her hands together. She had wanted to confront Lysander, demand an explanation, but instead, she found herself subdued, like a child caught misbehaving.

Lysander remained silent, but his oppressive silence and menacing gaze were more intimidating than any words, evoking dread.

Meanwhile, at Moon Retreat, Callum lay on the ground with his broken leg. He gasped in pain and sweat beaded on his forehead.

“Why did you break his leg?” one of the bodyguards asked, shocked that his colleague had actually broken Callum’s leg.

The offending bodyguard was a bit confused and said, “Didn’t Mr. Sinclair order us to do this?”

This bodyguard was relatively new and took Lysander’s orders very seriously, not daring to slack off.

The other bodyguard made a facepalm and was exasperated. “That was before Mr. Sinclair promised Ms. Everhart that he wouldn’t hit Callum anymore…”

“Ah, I didn’t catch that. What do we do now?” Upon hearing this, the new bodyguard realized his mistake and started to panic.

“Mr. Sinclair has already taken off on his plane so probably won’t find out. Let’s get him to the hospital, and he should recover after some time.” another bodyguard suggested.

“Right, I’m calling emergency services now.” the remorseful bodyguard said and pulled out his phone.

Callum, still on the ground, listened to their conversation. Despite the pain in his broken leg and his labored breathing, a faint smile crept onto his lips.

He finally understood where the problem lay. The flight attendant on the plane was the issue. Lysander took advantage of the uniqueness of the quadruplets. He had the flight attendant to keep an eye on the passengers and report immediately once the quadruplets were spotted.

That way, Lysander could track which country Thalassa flew to.

But how did he find out they had gone to the airport in the plane?

Callum had sensed something off about the flight attendant, but he thought that since Atticus had wiped the radar tracking, Lysander couldn’t possibly find out where their plane had landed, let alone know they had taken a flight out of the country. So even with his suspicions about the flight attendant, he lowered his guard.

It turned out, the very thing he suspected was indeed the problem.
