Chapter 1221

Callum’s breath hitched, pain lacing through his body with each labored inhale. Tremors ran down his spine as he caught sight of Lysander and Thalassa lost in each other's embrace

Lysander held Thalassa tightly, his kisses fierce and passionate, while Thalassa gently cradled his face, eagerly responding to his fervor.

The two were in their own world, their kisses deep and full of desire. The heavy, ragged breaths that they shared were audible in the quiet of the room, telling tales of longing and possession.

Callum felt a tremor go through his body, which suddenly seized up at the sight. A dark shadow flickered across his usually warm eyes.

He clenched his teeth, his body rigid with the effort of holding himself together. “Mr. Gordon, your hand looks really bad. Let me call 911 for you,” a concerned waiter said, noticing Callum’s limp hand.

The waiter kept his eyes downcast, not daring to look at Lysander and Thalassa, who were still entwined. Lysander’s earlier aura of menace had the waiter on edge, afraid that even a glance might be seen as an insult that it could result in a broken wrist like Mr. Gordon.

Callum was pale and cold. He stared at Lysander and Thalassa, who were still locked in a fiery kiss. His eyes betrayed a restrained torment, and he did not respond to the waiter.

Worried by Callum’s pallor and thinking he was in too much pain to speak, the waiter took the initiative and dialed for emergency services.

Thalassa had kissed Lysander impulsively to quell the storm of anger around him, but she hadn’t expected his dominating response.

Only when Thalassa felt weak in the knees, breathless from his intense affection, did Lysander finally release her. She leaned against his sturdy frame, spent, while Lysander’s large hand stayed pressed against her back, keeping her close.

Despite the heat of the moment, Lysander’s gaze turned icy as he looked back at Callum, as if none of the passion from his kisses had touched his eyes.

“Watch yourself!” Lysander tossed the words over his shoulder, scooped Thalassa into his arms and strode out of the restaurant with determined steps.

Left behind, Callum slumped against a chair, his good hand clenched into a fist.

His gaze was fixed ahead, teeth gritted, as he silently bore the inner turmoil and fury.

The corner of his eye caught a sharp glint. The injuries he’d sustained wouldn't be in vain.

If it meant that Thalassa would see Lysander’s true colors how brutal, cold, and ruthless he could be then all the pain was worth it.

Back in Weston Country, Callum had deliberately provoked Lysander, leading to an assault by his bodyguards. Though skilled in self-defense, Callum had neither fought back nor resisted.

He had wanted Thalassa to see firsthand Lysander’s extreme and cold personalities.

And now, it was the same. If Lysander himself took action, the impact would be even greater.

As he’d said, Lysander was insecure about Thalassa, worried she might fancy someone else. This was because Thalassa was distancing herself from him, feeling a barrier growing between them.

Callum sought precisely this outcome. Yet, the sight of Lysander’s fervent kiss had struck a nerve in Callum, igniting a fierce anger and tightness in his chest. He began to understand the agony Leopold must have felt in life. It was indeed unbearable!

Lysander swept Thalassa up in his arms and strode quickly to the car, setting her inside before slipping in himself. His solid frame enveloped her, his chest pressing down, leaving no space between them, his cool breath on her face as he whispered, “What are you scheming now, huh?”
