Chapter 693

Did Lysander cuddle her last night?

She had been oblivious while sleeping and even unaware of how she ended up at the Royal Estates.

Looking into Lysander’s deep eyes, her heartbeat fluttered. Quickly dropping her gaze, she turned to Elowen and said in a soft tone, “Go to school, darlings. I’ll rest up and take good care of myself. Don’t worry about me, okay?”

“Mommy, you’re blowing bubbles from your mouth! That’s fun!” Elowen, with her innocent eyes, reached out to catch the bubbles that unexpectedly popped out of Thalassa’s mouth.

Caught off guard, Thalassa realized she had not finished brushing her teeth; her mouth was full of foam.

She tried to head back to the bathroom to rinse, but her foot made it difficult.

As she struggled to move, Lysander’s tall figure approached; his large shadow was enveloping her, his presence overwhelming.

Before Thalassa could react, her arm was already being supported by Lysander. His strong grip helped her easily back to the bathroom sink.

“Thanks,” Thalassa instinctively murmured.

As the word left her lips, she felt the air was condensed and turning chillingly cold.

Her breath hitched; she gave him a weak glance as she picked up the glass.

His handsome face was tense. Those eyes went somber and those brows furrowed. He was clearly displeased.

Thalassa then remembered his reaction when she thanked him for rescuing her last night. It was the same.

It seemed he disliked hearing the words ‘thank you’.

But how come he didn’t get angry when Dorian thanked him earlier?

Under his intense stare, Thalassa quickly finished rinsing and washing her face. Once again, she was aided by him as they left the room.

The four little ones were still standing in the room, their eyes filled with longing.

Thalassa could see their yearning for their mother’s embrace in their adorable, soft eyes.

They wanted to rush to her, but they were aware of her injured foot and did not want to cause any harm.

But the kids’ innocence lay in their inability to hide their love and need for their mother.

Thalassa had also missed them immensely over the past few days. Seeing them now, she felt something was missing if she did not embrace them.

With Lysander’s help, Thalassa moved to the bed and carefully sat down. She spread her arms wide, her eyes warm and inviting, “Come here, my little sweethearts. Let’s have a hug.”

The four little ones immediately showed their joy upon seeing their mother’s widespread arms. Their eyes sparkled like stars as they rushed over and cuddled into Thalassa like little kittens.

Thalassa held their heads, planting kisses on their soft, squishy cheeks.

They smelled sweet and felt soft, which was an intoxicating combination.

Nothing could be more blissful than cuddling with her kids.

Holding her four adorable little ones, all the risks she took yesterday seemed worth it.

Her injured foot was worth it too.

Standing to the side, Lysander watched the intimate moment between Thalassa and the kids. A soft glow flickered in his eyes.

Just then, the phone on the bedside table rang, interrupting the tender moment.
