She couldn’t comprehend why Lysander had driven Leopold to his death. Was Lysander so ruthless that he would disregard even the life of his own nephew?
Standing by the roadside and watching the cars whizz by, Thalassa felt a deep pit of emptiness in her heart. As a large truck sped toward her, it was too late to brake.
“Watch out!” With a shout, a figure dashed towards her.
The figure grabbed her and rolled with her into the roadside bushes, narrowly avoiding the truck.
