Dorian was the first to approach Fitch; tugging at his trouser leg, he tilted his head and said, “Fitch, can we go to Granny’s house? Please!”
“Yeah, Fitch, let us go. You’re the best.” Elowen joined in, swaying his hand as she cooed sweetly.
“Fitch, can we do that, please?” Sophia’s timid gaze also turned to Fitch.

Surrounded by the children, Fitch felt a softening in his heart. He couldn’t resist their cute pleas and just wanted to agree immediately.
But it wasn’t his call.
Fitch was slightly troubled. He wiped the sweat off his forehead, “I’ll call Lysander.”

Thalassa’s eyes dropped and she was ready to comfort Evelyn.
“Okay, okay, I’ll tell Ms. Everhart right away.” Fitch hung up the phone gleefully, then turned to Thalassa with a beaming smile. “Lysander agreed, but he said to bring the kids back later.”
Thalassa was overjoyed. She was already prepared to console Evelyn, but to her surprise, Lysander had agreed.
