The Birth Of A Villainess

Chapter 311 - Prince Zilin (2)

Chapter 311 - Prince Zilin (2)

Several days have passed since Prince Zilin was taken to this shack after being beaten by Qu Xing Xu. He could remember that time when he stumbled inside a room and hid there from his pursuers, trying to throw them out of their games, and escape from their plans of assassinating him.

However, who would have thought that the place he entered was the home of a small wicked beast that pounced on him as soon as he entered the room.

What's more, that small wicked beast turned out to be a young lady with a face that was only described by delusional scholars and drawn by perverted painters.

Prince Zilin could still remember how she tried to hurt him, her hostility and raw killing intent pouring out of her body as if she was naturally born with it.

He tried to keep her from screaming, but she viciously struck him.

What was with this woman? That was his first thought.

However, Prince Zilin soon thought that the woman was another assassin sent to him and hid in this room as a surprise.

Hence, he didn't hesitate to strike back in retaliation and had the intention of killing her.

But who knew that someone interjected before he could do it and beat him to a pulp. And surprisingly, it was actually the duke of the Zheng Empire, Qu Xing Xu!

And they even took his gold medallion when he passed out after being beaten and from the numerous wounds he accumulated after fighting off with the assassins that chased after him.

Then, after a couple of days, he awoke in this small room that could be mistaken as a shack. He had stayed there until his injuries gradually healed and doctors who wore a veil on their faces constantly visited to check on him.

The chains that shackled him and stopped him from leaving this place also shocked him greatly that he threw a fit and destroyed the things furnishing that was originally inside this room. Now it was replaced with new ones and the man whom he remembered to be Qu Xing Xu's right-hand man told him not to destroy things next time because it was extremely troublesome to replace it every time before leaving.

Several days, close to more than a month passed. His wounds have already healed. And as much as he didn't want to admit it, Prince Zilin grew used to living in this room where he was completely alone and isolated from the world.

Besides, he was safe and secured here without having him constantly worrying about being pursued by assassins.

Until that world that only had him in it broke because the door to this room was opened and the small wicked beast he met that night entered.

"It has been awhile. I hope you're doing well now…" Prince Zilin flinched at her voice. He had heard women speak in the past and yet, he wondered why no one could compare to how her voice sounded like.

It was not only her face. It was also her voice that resembled a siren or a demon like an incubus.

"It seems that the wounds in your body have completely healed. That should be worthy of celebrating, isn't it?" She continued to speak to him even though Prince Zilin tried so hard to ignore her so she could leave him alone.

However, it was harder to do since the woman before him was extremely beautiful and as normal human being and as a man, even without intending to stir his heart, Lin Xiaofei still had an effect on him.

Sensing that he was in a disadvantageous situation, Prince Zilin could only glare at her as if she was an enemy that massacred his ancestors before his eyes.

Thankfully, with that in his thoughts to redirect him, that dangerous sense of feeling he got earlier slowly disappeared.

But what did she just said? Worthy of celebration? Prince Zilin scoffed. The wounds he got from the assassins were already deadly but he could still move for a while. However, after being beaten by Qu Xing Xu, he was nearly standing before the light and joined his ancestors.

[Tn: He meant he almost died.]

"Where's my gold medallion? Where did you take it and give it back!" Prince Zilin shouted as soon as the leather rope on his mouth was taken off.

Lin Xiaofei, however, didn't answer to him. Instead, she decided to negotiate with him.

"I'll answer your three questions. If you answer three of my question as well." She stepped forward. "Your highness, Prince Zilin."

Prince Zilin flinched when he heard his name being uttered by her. He was shocked that she even knew him even when he looked like this.

"How…"

"How did I know it was you? She tilted her head. "That's four questions. Are you going to replace that to one of your previous ones?"

Prince Zilin instantly shut his mouth. How she knew it was him was not important. But they never met in the past so he still was curious at how she recognized him. She probably investigated.

"Answer my questions first." Prince Zilin had no choice but to accept her deal although reluctantly.

"The gold medallion is hidden well. The second question is similar to the first, but I'll still answer honestly. It's with me. I'm hiding it. As for the last question… That will depend on your actions, your highness."

'What does she mean by that?' Prince Zilin thought. That gold medallion was his in the first place. Why did he have to bargain with this woman?

As if seeing through and reading his mind, Lin Xiaofei lightly laughed before she spoke.

"The gold medallion seemed to be important to your highness. I think you're smart enough to know that I can throw it away or give it to someone else if I somehow ended up in a bad mood. Of course, it all depends on your actions." Lin Xiaofei said.

After a minute of staring at each other, Prince Zilin first surrendered and leaned back to the wall where he was chained.

"Alright. What is it that you want from me so I can get the medallion from you?"

As a prince from the Chu Empire, Prince Zilin could give her anything she wanted. Was it gold? Land? Or perhaps, money? Anything should be possible if it was within his limits.

However, what Lin Xiaofei wanted was not what Prince Zilin was listing inside his head.

What she wanted was something even heavier than just a piece of land, money, or gold. What she wanted had something to do with her future plans.

"I want the Chu Empire." She finally said in a whisper. "Your highness."
