The Black Necromancer

Chapter 110 A Greater Strength (2)

Chapter 110 A Greater Strength (2)

In a faraway land, very distant from the Island of Fate...

Boom!

The ground shook and rumbled, sending rocks tumbling down the mountain side. Seven figures floated above the mountain, their eyeless sockets bright with power as they watched the spectacle in silence.

Not one of the floating Undeads that radiated a frightening pressure spoke one word until the rumbling had calmed down. When silence reigned, and the dust had settled, the Undead at the forefront unfolded his arms and held them behind him, his luxurious robes floating behind him and giving him a grand appearance.

"After all this time. Hundreds of years have passed, and another one has emerged? Which one of your underlings have grown this strong in the past two hundred years? Shown such potential?" He turned around to look at the other floating Undeads.

No one replied, which was the equivalent of denying his words. None of the fellow Undead Monarchs had gotten a Peak A rank undead subordinate in the past years. And this emergence shocked them. The only other meaning aside from the emergence of a Peak A rank undead was that an Undead being with great potential had been born.

"We control half of the Demon continent already. Find that undead. They must side with us. If they refuse, then kill them. Do not be hesitant to use all the resources you can." The leading Undead said, waving his arm that was covered in dark armor.

"As you wish." The six other Undead beings nodded, tilting their heads slightly in a bow, before disappearing. In fact, none of them were subordinates of the one who had spoken, but he was the oldest living Undead being still alive, so his words carried a lot of weight in the world.

Alone, the Undead being looked at the newly erected building that had been magically formed on another peak of the mountain. It was just below his own building which held his throne. Just below it by a few inches.

"Humph!" His aura thickened and the air around him froze. "Let's see how far you get, upstart. I will end you!" He declared before turning away and vanishing into nothing.

Leon sat down with crossed legs as he examined the state of his body properly for the first time since his Race Advancement. Right now, he was trying to recall the feeling that he had gotten some time ago, that felt as if he was connected by a thread to something else far away from his current position.

"Ugh... Whatever, I'll just figure it out later." Leon grunted and got to his feet. "Abyssus." He called for the dungeon consciousness, and a dark wisp appeared in front of him.

"You called?"

"Yes, open a portal out of this dungeon." He ordered.

"As you wish." Abyssus nodded and a white portal shimmered into view. Leon stepped forward with Nedra and his elite summons behind him, passing through the portal and appearing outside of the dungeon, just a few meters away from the waterfall.

"Oh!" A voice caught Leon's attention and he spun, looking at a spot behind some rocks. The air trembled, and an invisible barrier fell out of place, revealing the familiar figures of William, Adrian, and others. The former slaves of Grokus were also present.

"You all are still here." Leon said, not knowing what else to say to them.

"Yes, we are. We had to take care of these ones before following after you. While we were in the middle of getting a small camp set, I detected a number of people heading this way, and we hid. Have been hiding ever since." William replied, stepping forward.

"Oh, that's good then." Leon nodded. He did not really care that they had not entered the dungeon with him, as that meant they had no stake in the treasures. They did not even prove themselves useful during the fight against Grokus.

"What do you plan to do next?" William asked, turning and waving for the others to come forward.

"I don't know. I will probably just send my summons to look for some good things." Leon shrugged. He no longer cared too much. The treasures he could find in this Zone were immensely helpful to C rank beings, but only so-so for those of a higher rank, so he did not really have any interest in them again. Plus, he had gone through the treasury of the dungeon before, and it was loaded with so many things. Not only gold and other valuable things, but also treasures that could boost a person's strength. Potions, and all of those other things. Money was not a problem to him right now.

William raised a hand to speak, but Leon silenced him, quickly taking a step back. A beam of light struck the ground right where he was a moment ago, spreading wide and turning into a pillar of golden light.

Leon rubbed his chin, and with a thought, he summoned one of his new summons. A man made of dark mana came into existence a step behind Leon.

"Joseph, what is this?' Leon asked them knowledgeable man.

"This is..." Joseph tilted his head, raising his hand to nudge his glasses that had followed him to his current position. "...This is a pathway to another Zone. The Island of Fate is telling you that you do not belong in this zone anymore. You have only a few minutes to step through of your own will before it gets aggressive." Joseph answered after a moment, utilizing his amazing knowledge to explain the situation.

"Oho?" Leon's jaw turned up in a smile. It seemed he would not need to hang around in this place anymore. There were sure to be much better opportunities waiting for him in the zone for B rank beings.

"It seems this is where we part ways." He turned back and addressed the wide eyed adventurers. "Here, have these. I have no use for them." He summoned a millipede that promptly produced the remaining Golden fruit that he had first gotten his hands on when Divinity's Bout had initially begun.

"Thank you." William and the others accepted the fruits with wide, grateful eyes.

"It's fine. Perhaps we will cross paths again. I hope we get along then. Farewell now, friends." Leon waved at them and stepped forward, pulling in all his summons, as well as Nedra, so they could all go in at once.

In a flash of golden light, he was gone, leaving the adventurers staring there with wide eyes.
