Chapter 377 Pondering The Path To The Divine

Chapter 377 Pondering The Path To The Divine

Leon sat down with his legs crossed in his human form as he allowed the flesh and blood that flowed through his body to be washed and cleansed by the unique Divinity that ran through him.

'It turns out that my Divine Body skill goes well as long as I have Divinity flowing through me constantly.' He noted as he continued the meditation session.

A couple of weeks had gone by ever since the end of the war with the Demons. Ever since then, he had immersed himself in his training. What was important now was to accumulate his gains and turn that into power. The most important leap of power he needed to take was his growth concerning Divinity.

While experimenting on how to effectively grow his Divine power, Leon had found out that meditating while using his human body, combined with the Divine Body which was a passive skill, gained considerably greater effects than if he just tried to meditate in his true form. It was strange, and after a bit of asking around, through Michael, he found out that it was because deep down, his mind still acknowledged the fact that he was once a human.

While this was rather strange considering that Leon had long since stopped clinging on to the past where he was a human being, there was little he could do about it but go on as it was. He would leave this problem for future Leon.

With the Divine Body Supreme Skill, Leon was happy to see that the level of Divinity within his core was rising at a respectable pace. While the System, which had mostly become redundant, did not record his Divinity in a statistical form, Leon was still able to feel and note what was within his core.

After his race advancement, the Divinity within him, when compared to his mana, would have been about ten percent of the mana. Now, after two weeks or so, it had risen up to fifteen percent.

According to Michael and Asteria, this was a very good progress speed. Even among the more talented Gods, whether Minor or Major, those who had ascended and were not born at the beginning of the world had rather mediocre speeds at accumulating Divinity. Only a small portion of them were as good as Leon.

This was good news to Leon. If he could keep up this pace, then he would not take too long to reach 100 percent and complete the process which would allow him to ascend to Godhood!

There was also something else that occurred to Leon.

If he could do it, then should his summons not be able to do so as well?! That would mean having powerful comrades that could assist him in Divine level battles!

There was one uncertainty, though. Would they remain as his summons at that time? Would destroying and rebuilding their bodies to ascend to Godhood allow them to break free of the shackles that his skills had embedded into their souls?

Truth be told, Leon had mixed feelings about this entire matter. On one hand, he felt that he had built solid relationships with his summons. Even among those he did not spend much time with, and had become his summons quite recently, he had treated all of them quite well so far.

He could not say much about the most recent additions like Axel, Garrix, and Hydrax, but for the rest, it was not a problem. At least, that is what he believed.

Thinking of his summons made Leon's thoughts drift. The final phase of the battle had been a very good thing for his army. Several more A ranks had emerged among the Undead Army's ranks, which bolstered his overall strength and kicked it up a notch higher.

Among the new additions, a few of them were some of the Undead Millipedes. This was rather shocking to Leon, as he had taken a batch of them to the Labyrinth of Madness, and they were not able to break through. What was even stranger was that they had undergone a race advancement on the battlefield!

The large amount of death and negative, Unholy energies that thrummed through the battlefield had turned out to be a catalyst to their untimely advancement!

The Millipedes were not the only ones to advance. Some of the unlucky adversaries that Leon had conquered and turned into his summons long ago had also advanced. One familiar individual was Marcus, the powerful human that had tried to fight against Leon back when they had encountered each other in the boss room of the Dark Abyss Dungeon during Divinity's Bout.

Marcus was a steady, but powerful fighter in Leon's Undead Army. Even among the thousands of powerful B rank monsters, mages and warriors, he managed to stand out due to his powerful but finely controlled ability. The man had been a berserker of some sort before he had been converted to Leon's summon, and his skills evolved as they carried over to his Undead form.

Before, he needed to rely on a type of boosting pill to be able to persist in his Berserker Mode, but now, with the overpowered stats he gained from being transformed into a summon, there was no need for any external reliance.

Leon thought over a few more summons that managed to reach A rank. Eight of them had managed to reach A rank, with four of them being Undead Millipedes. There was one Priest that had been converted in the fiftieth floor boss room of Divinity's Bout, two giant spiders from the Dark Abyss Dungeon, and finally, Marcus. A few other summons were close, but they were not there yet.

Just as Leon was about to get back to his meditation session, Nedra stepped into the enclosed room. She had a bright smile as she held the hand of a young child. The white haired boy looked to be about six years old. This was the same baby that she had been cradling a while ago. The White Millipedes grew very quickly.
