Chapter 167 - JEALOUSY
Chapter 167 - JEALOUSY
~"I see you with another boy, baby. Another boy, baby. You kiss kiss him, baby. Is he better than me? Is he more handsome than me? Jealousy, oh this jealousy..."~
"I didn't expect that you like this kind of song, Kev," Kris commented after a few minutes the only sound that filled the car was the sound of the radio.
Kevin was the one who turned on the radio earlier, and he kept bobbing his head along with the melody. It was a pop song sung by an idol group, and the lyrics were just the typical lyrics of teenager songs. It was about a teenager's life, about puppy love, and something like that.
They left the orphanage right after they finished their dinner, and they were currently on their way back to their apartment.
Nothing happened before they parted with Jack and Blue. They just chatted casually about their daily life and whatnot. Kris and Jack were still awkward, but they weren't fighting anymore.
"It's the current hit song in this country, Kris. This song is even popular in other countries," Kevin replied.
Kris chuckled upon hearing his lover's reply. He didn't expect that Kevin would like that kind of song. The idol group consisted of seven handsome members with the ages ranged from 15 to 18, and they were way younger than Kevin, of course. But their song had a cheerful and bright melody, and probably the song managed to lighten up Kevin's mood.
"You didn't choose the song because of your jealousy, did you?" Kris asked his lover again.
Kevin turned to Kris as he frowned. "What jealousy?" He asked back instead of answering.
"Are you jealous because I had a private talk with Jack earlier?" The taller man elaborated his question.
Kevin blinked innocently at his lover. "Why should I feel jealous because of that?" He asked back again. "I'm the one who asked you to talk with him, and it's ridiculous if I get jealous because of that."
Kris smiled. His lover had a point.
"Don't you want to know what we were talking about earlier?" The caramel-haired guy asked again.
Kevin shifted his gaze away and stretched out his hand to turn off the radio.
"You can tell me if you want to, but I'm not going to force you if you don't want to," he replied as he leaned his back against the back of the seat.
Kris smiled as he carefully turned his car to the left when he came to an intersection.
"It seems you have guessed what were we talking about earlier," Kris commented.
Kevin smiled while peeking at his lover. "Do you think I guessed it right, Kris?" He asked teasingly.
"Who knows?" Kris replied while chuckling lightly. "You can tell me your guess, and I can judge whether it's right or not."
The raven-haired man also giggled as he glanced at the other man. "Jack just wanted to get close to you, right?" He asked nonchalantly.
Kris was a bit startled. 'So, Jack predicted it accurately that Kevin is more sensitive than me?' He wondered inwardly.
"Yes, Jack said that he didn't mean to provoke me and that he kept teasing me because he wanted to be friends with me," Kris explained calmly.
Hearing his lover's answer, Kevin smiled brightly as he fully turned to his lover. "So I guessed it right," he stated proudly. "That was so obvious, Kris. I had never seen any hatred in Jack's eyes. He just didn't know how to approach you properly."
"It's not like he didn't know how to approach me properly, Kev. He asked the search engine about how to get close to a person, and the search engine advised him to use the teasing method to get close to me. That's stupid," Kris explained again, and he chuckled after he finished explaining.
Kevin was still staring at his lover, and he silently observed how his lover laughing heartily right now.
"Is there anything you want to tell me besides that, Kris?" The scientist asked again.
Kris stopped chuckling as he peered at his lover. It seemed that Kevin could read his mind now.
"Jack told me about his feeling, Kev," the taller man replied.
Kevin didn't show any change in his expression, and he just turned ahead again when he asked, "Jack confessed his feeling toward you, didn't he?"
This time, Kris didn't look surprised anymore. He had predicted that Kevin had guessed it right again.
"Yeah," the taller man replied. "It's unpredictable, Kev. I had never expected that Jack harbored that kind of feeling toward me."
Kevin just smiled without turning his head to his lover.
Getting no response from Kevin, Kris decided to ask, "How could you guess that he likes me, Kev?"
In the end, Kevin directed his eyes to his lover again. "I didn't know his feeling, Kris. It's just my feeling that told me about that," he answered.
Unexpectedly, he heard Kris laughing all of a sudden. "So, it's like a wife's hunch when her husband is having affair with another woman?" He asked teasingly.
The tease made Kevin scoff. "I'm not a 'her,' and I'm not your wife either," he replied. "And, did you say that you are having affair?"
Kris's eyes widened when he heard his lover's question. "That's just an analogy, Kev!" He quickly rebuked.
The shorter man giggled when he heard Kris's response. He glanced at Kris and found his lover pouted cutely. Kris was acting so adorably, but Kevin didn't utter any words anymore.
The car just speeding past the apartment gate and immediately headed to the basement.
Not long after, Kris turned off the car engine before unbuckling his seatbelt and turned his body to Kevin.
"You are not jealous, Kev?" Kris asked solemnly.
Kevin's hands, which were busy unbuckling his seatbelt, paused as he looked up at the other man. "No," he answered firmly. "It's okay if Jack likes you. As long as you don't return his feeling, then it's okay for me. I trust you, Kris."
Kris was taken aback. He expected his lover would feel uncomfortable after confirming Jack's feelings toward him, but he was wrong. Kevin trusted him wholeheartedly even if the former just found out that he had a love rival.
Kris's heart was touched by Kevin's sincerity, and he could breathe a sigh of relief. At least he knew how he should treat Jack after this. His lover was cool about their friendship, so he would try to be a good friend for Jack. That was the only thing Jack desired for now, after all.
He stretched out his hand and grabbed his lover's hand. He brought the smooth hand to his lips and kissed it gently. The action stunned Kevin.
"I won't disappoint you, Kev," the taller man whispered. "I will only love you. If it's not you, then I better die."
Kevin sighed as he lifted his other hand and placed it on his lover's cheek. "Don't say something like that, Kris. I will only be with you, so you don't need to die," he replied.
Kris stared at the pair of blue sapphires that belonged to his lover intently. The twin crystals looked clear and shined brightly, and it felt like Kris's soul was swallowed by the beautiful sapphires.
He then let go of Kevin's hand and used his hands to cup the latter's face. He then tenderly kissed Kevin's forehead. The latter closed his eyes when he felt the warmth of Kris's lips on his forehead.
The warmth didn't last long, and Kevin was about to open his eyes when he felt the heat moved to another spot. He now felt the warmness on his lips, and it forced him to open his eyes. The blue eyes found Kris was kissing him on the lips.
The two men were smiling as their lips sealed with each other. Kris started moving his tongue to knock on Kevin's lips, and the latter acted as a good host and immediately opened his lips for the tongue.
Kris's tongue started dancing inside the hot cavern, and Kevin's tongue didn't want to lose as it tried to be a good dance partner for Kris's.
Their moans gradually filled up the warm car. The sounds were like music that replaced the radio. It made the two tongues kept dancing erotically.
They were kissing for a quite long time until Kevin slowly pushed Kris's shoulders. Their lips separated from each other as they panted heavily.
"You intended to kill me, right?" Kevin asked while breathing heavily.
Kris smiled as he brought his hand to rub the corner of Kevin's glistening lips. "I only stole your breath," he denied the accusation.
Kevin scoffed, but he didn't say anything. All he did was continue to stare at the pair of hazel belonging to his lover.
Kris stared back at him intently, and more or less, he could guess that Kevin was thinking about something now.
"Kris," the scientist called out his lover's name. The owner of the name answered with a 'hm,' and he continued, "I asked Blue about her feeling earlier."
Kris furrowed his eyebrows as a reaction to Kevin's statement. "Her feeling?" He parroted.
The raven-haired man nodded as he ducked his head. "Blue admitted that she likes Jack," he answered.
The answer caused the pair of hazels to widen. "Blue likes Jack?" Kris asked back. "But Jack doesn't have any romantic feeling for Blue, Kev. He only sees Blue as a younger sister."
