Chapter 270 - NO ONE WILL DIE

Chapter 270 - NO ONE WILL DIE

It had been two days since Kevin managed to capture Steve, and he was currently in the car heading to the orphanage.

He was not alone, though. To his surprise, Grace and Julia suddenly came to his house this morning, and they immediately asked him to follow them to Chilad.

Kevin had informed Grace about the cunning plan of the criminals, and she immediately took precautions by reporting the case to the government. Kevin didn't know how Grace talk with those important people, but she managed to get the government ready for war.

Grace told him that the army was heading to Chilad with their strong weapons to defeat the rebels, and Kevin nodded his head as he believed that the soldiers of his country would fight with their blood and tears to protect their country.

Grace wanted to bring him directly to the battlefield because she knew that Kevin had the powers that could help the army to fight their opponent, but Kevin wanted to go to the orphanage first.

The man was the one who drove his silver car, and both Grace and Julia could only comply with the scientist's wish.

They arrived at the orphanage and immediately headed to the building. Kevin had the keys to the building and was about to fish out the keys from his pants pocket when someone suddenly opened the door from inside the building.

"We are ready to go."

It was Blue who just opened the door and uttered that one statement, but she was not alone in the building. Behind her was Jack, who was ready with his black leather jacket and a pair of sunglasses.

"What do you mean, Blue?" Kevin questioned his younger sister.

The girl looked like she was ready to go as well with her black outfit from head to toe. Kevin didn't even inform their plan to Blue and Jack, but the two youngsters miraculously were ready to go when he just arrived at the orphanage.

"You will go to save Kris, right? Don't you dare to leave us alone here," Jack decided to butt in.

Blue and Jack's were full of determination, and Kevin smiled a little at the sight. "Who wants to leave you two here?" He asked the question as he glanced at the two people in front of him. "I come here to pick you up because I want to bring you two to save Kris."

Blue and Jack looked at each other, seeming to be surprised by Kevin's statement. They both accused Kevin of wanting to leave them there, but the young scientist immediately denied the accusations.

"Now that you two are ready, I think we should go now," Kevin spoke again and was about to turn around, but Jack's voice halted his step.

"I've contacted Casper and Luke, and they are on the way here. We should wait for them to come."

The pair of blue eyes widened upon hearing the blonde's words. "Why did you contact them, Jack?" The owner of the eyes questioned the blonde in disbelief. "We are not going on holiday or something, so you shouldn't have let them know about our plan!"

The mission today was dangerous, so how come Jack still contacted Casper and Luke?

"We started this mission together, so we should end this together, Kevin. If I didn't let them know, they probably would be angry at us for the rest of their life."

Jack dared to give him a reason, but the tattooed man was not wrong at all. They all had started their journey together, so they should end it together as well, right?

Jack was not wrong, so Kevin decided to relent. And that was the moment when a black car approached the orphanage building and stopped right in front of the building.

Two men came out of the car, and Jack widened his eyes upon seeing the two tall figures.

"I indeed called them to come, but why did they come together? That grey head surely is flirting with my Casey."

Kevin glanced at his side when he heard Jack mumbling randomly. The words came out so softly, but he still managed to catch the blonde's words.

"Who is Casey?" The scientist questioned the tattooed man.

Jack jolted in surprise when he heard the unexpected question. He was just mumbling to himself earlier, but Kevin still caught his words.

"I'm sorry for making you all wait for us."

Another voice greeted their ears, and it was Casper's voice. The young soldier grinned innocently as he stopped walking in front of Kevin. Behind him was Luke White, and he also stopped walking beside the young soldier.

"It's a dangerous mission, so I won't force you two to follow us to Chilad," Kevin spoke as he stared at Casper and Luke in turn.

The two youngsters were the same as Blue and Jack. They didn't look scared at all.

"We are ready to die today, so you don't have to worry," Luke replied to Kevin's statement in a stern tone.

"No one will die today."

Another voice could be heard, and when the others turned their head, they found Grace Hasler speaking so firmly.

"I will protect you all with my life, so no one will die for sure."

The head of the Intelligence Agency looked so sure with her words, and it seemed her certainty was enough to give motivation to the other people in that place.

"No one will die, but I need Julia to do another task today," Kevin suddenly chimed in as he peeped at Julia, who was standing behind Grace Hasler. "I want Julia to take care of the children in the orphanage, so Julia won't need to go with us to Chilad."

Julia was shocked and was about to protest, but then Grace chimed in, "I agree with Kevin. I order Julia to stay at the orphanage and take care of the children here."

It was her boss who made a decision, and Julia could only nod her head obediently.

The matter was settled, and the people started walking toward the cars to head to Chilad. Kevin and Jack walked behind the others, but then Kevin's steps halted upon hearing the blonde's words.

"You easily let me and Blue go with you to Chilad because of your secret plan, right? It's related to our powers, right, Kevin?"
