Chapter 284 - ANOTHER BOMB

Chapter 284 - ANOTHER BOMB

Not only the owner of the name that was shocked by Kevin's statement, but other figures including Kris and Jack, looked startled as well.

"What do you mean? I only have two sons and don't have any daughter, so you better stop with the nonsense," Derek immediately responded with a little anger in his tone.

Kevin tried to straighten his body, and with the help of Jack, he could sit straight on the floor. "You once told me the tragic story about Lucy Irvine, right? But I think you forgot to tell me the part when you assaulted her until she got pregnant."

Again, the people in the spacious room looked surprised when Kevin continued his statement.

Felix and Jaden looked at Derek, who was standing between them. Their gaze was filled with disbelief. It seemed they were clueless about the matter related to Lucy Irvine.

"Who told you about that?" Derek questioned the young man darkly. "Lucy was the only one who knew about that, and I also have asked her to kill the child in her womb. How could you find out about that?"

Kevin gritted his teeth angrily. Grace was telling the truth. Derek Dawson was indeed an asshole!

"You don't expect that my mother knew about that as well, do you?"

Again, Derek's face was painted with shock upon hearing Kevin's question. "Your mother... knew about that? But how come? She didn't tell me anything, and she didn't change her attitude toward me either! How could she lie to me all these years?"

Kevin smirked at Derek but partially smirked at himself too. His mother was indeed a liar. No wonder that Kris, as her loyal disciple, grew up as a liar too. Ah, but he ended up being a liar too. Perhaps he was affected by his mother's character.

"Lucy told my mother everything about you, and my mother was also the one who helped Lucy hide herself when she was pregnant with your child."

Derek's eyes bulged even more after hearing Kevin's statement. "What? Lucy went missing because she was hiding when she was pregnant? But I've told her to kill the child! How come she ended up protecting the child instead?"

The atmosphere got tenser, and the four people could only listen to the heated conversation in silence.

"It's because Lucy didn't want to kill the innocent child that had become a part of her life," Kevin answered firmly. "Instead of killing the child, she chose to kill herself because she didn't think that she would have a future anymore. She was too embarrassed by herself, and she decided to end her life after giving birth to her child. That child is also yours, Mr. Dawson."

This time, Derek Dawson couldn't immediately reply as he fell speechless.

Sensing that he successfully pressed the former General, Kevin spoke again, "Your child has grown up, Mr. Dawson. Don't you want to meet her? You said that you don't have a daughter, right? Maybe you will feel happy if you meet her."

Derek Dawson remained quiet, and he could only stare at the floor blankly.

"But I'm not sure if she will be happy to meet you. She hates you so much and has been collaborating with my mother to revenge on you, after all."

This time, Derek Dawson finally looked up at the blue-eyed man. "What? Your mother wanted to revenge on me?" He questioned the younger man.

"Yes," Kevin replied nonchalantly. "My mother had been taking advantage of you all these years, Mr. Dawson. She didn't believe you at all, but she remained on your side just to take advantage of you. You don't know that she had planned for revenge behind your back."

Derek Dawson felt his legs go limp, and he almost collapsed if he couldn't grab onto Jaden Dunn's arm in time.

"What kind of nonsense is that? You only want to pressure me, right? You are lying to me, right?"

Kevin scoffed upon hearing Derek's denial. "I won't get anything even if I lied to you, Mr. Dawson. You better get on your knees and apologize to your daughter immediately. She is nearby now."

Derek was shocked, and the other people displayed the same expression.

Kevin could feel that his body grew weaker, and he knew that he should end it soon. That was why he stopped acting mysteriously as he said, "Grace Hasler is your daughter, Mr. Dawson. You have been hating her because you thought that she's the daughter of your rival, but you're wrong all this time. The person you hate the most is your daughter."

Kris had not even struck his lightning power, but it felt like there was lightning striking the five people in the room. Derek Dawson was the one who looked shocked the most.

The former General couldn't feel his legs anymore, and both Felix Smith and Jaden Dunn needed to hold his body so that his body wouldn't fall on the ground.

"That's impossible," he whispered weakly. "That bitch has been hating me all this time, and that's because she knows that I'm her father?"

Derek was in denial, but he still reflected on his mistake in the end.

"You wanted to rebel because of your family, right? You look like someone who cares a lot about your family, but you still have the heart to kill your child even before she was born? Aren't you ashamed of yourself, Mr. Dawson?"

Another pressure came from Kevin, and Derek Dawson remained quiet.

Meanwhile, Kevin looked weaker and weaker, and his gaze grew blurry as he muttered, "Don't let them die, Kris. They have to be punished, but instant death is not the right punishment." And finally, he fell unconscious in Jack's arms.

Kris looked panicked and was about to take over Kevin's body from Jack, but then he could hear Derek Dawson speaking again.

"Go," the old man muttered as he tried to stand up on his two feet again. "I've activated a bomb in this building, and it will explode in five minutes.. You all better leave this place now."
