Chapter 177 - A CHILD THAT LIVED...ONE THAT DIED!

PRECAP

"No...I need it now...please, can you at least listen to me??"

Serena requested with her defeated eyes.

"I can't...I m sorry! Alice will show you the way out..."

Tinsley crossed her hand against her chest and signalled Alice to let the woman out of the house.

Serena tried to evade away from the maid's hold. And right at that moment, Kian made entry.

"What the hell is going on here??"

"Oh thanks, God! Kian you are here!!"

Serena thrashed out of the maid's hold and stepped towards him. Tinsley was taken aback by seeing her husband had arrived.

"What the hell was that??"

He directed his wrath to his wife, who did not know how to explain the situation to him.

She picked up her phone and called Kian immediately but it went to a voice call.

She repeatedly dialled his number to the point of getting blocked by her own husband and it was her breaking point.

The phone fell out of her hand, and to get it up, she strolled downwards, falling flat on her butt and cursing out to her life when she saw blood flowing out of her.

When Tinsley came out of the hospital, she felt nothing anymore.

There was a void within her and it was growing too fast. She walked up to the parking sight and got inside her Audi.

She stared into the outside and then when the pitter-patter rain started to fall in the very morning, she started the engine and drove back to that forlorn mansion...that was her home now.

"Her vitals are improving. She is fine, now, Miss Williams!"

The doctor declared and Serena was delighted to hear the news. Kian was grateful too.

The girl was only three years old and looked so fragile and delicate. He had no idea that Serena had a daughter when he saw her at his party after such a long time.

So when she dropped a text that there was an emergency in his phone. He could not wonder that it was going to be about her daughter.

Once the doctor declared that everything was alright, they both finally went to the restroom area.

The girl had a problem of dropping her body temperature and the doctor had to struggle to get her back on the normal body temperature all night long.

"You are hungry?"

Kian asked as they had both not eaten anything ever since they got into the hospital.

"No, I m fine...a coffee would be fine though!"

Serena said, getting cosy on her comfy VIP area sofa. Kian had reserved it for both of them last night.

He pulled out his cell phone and saw texts and miss calls from Tinsley. He just rolled his eyes, knowing that she was only being jealous about the whole ordeal.

He noticed that his phone had blocked her and so he unblocked her back again. It was his phone's program that blocked a contact if it was ringing and texting too often.

"Is it Tinsley??"

Serena asked when she saw him staring at his phone's screen. He just shrugged it off and kept the phone back inside his pants pocket.

"I think you should call her, Kian. She must be worried..."

"She is just being a brat, nothing more!"

Kian interrupted Serena and went out to bring coffee for both of them. There was a doubt in his mind of the little girl...Serena's daughter was his but after knowing her age...it was clear that it was not his.

And probably that was why he rushed out to help Serena like that. They both had shared a past that was deeper and darker than anyone else knew about them.

After handing the coffee to Serena, he drove back home and he knew that Tinsley was going to give him a cold shoulder...but he did not really care about it at this point.

He did not know if he should feel delighted or sad that the child was not his??

When he got inside the living room, he noticed the void and looked around for his wife but she was nowhere to be found.

At this point he was actually annoyed because he needed her to act as an understanding adult instead of being a jealous brat.

He checked his phone and there had been no call or text from her since the past midnight. And she was not in the home. He had no idea where did she go.

He felt like he married a drama Queen at this point!

Nathan gave sparkling water to Tinsley and she took the glass from him, drinking the water speedily.

She had hit on a nearby post out of absent-mindedness and luckily did not end up hurting any passerby.

Nathan came to her rescue because the entire thing happened just at the front road of Anderson Corp. Tower.

She was grateful for that to see a knowing face when everyone was giving her weird looks.

He had handled the police and traffic department and bought her to his office to calm her down.

"Everything is fine! "

He uttered out for her, observing how fearful and shook she was by the incident.

"I have handled the police and they are not going to press any charges ok! So please calm down now."

Nathan took the glass off from her hold and she nodded at him. Her mind was too disturbed to even grasp the depends on the situation.

"Are you alright now?"

Nathan asked her and she was taken aback by the question. Was she ever going to be alright??

After what had happened in these few hours, period??

Losing her second child, to losing her husband to his ex and the fact that they could be sharing a child together and to almost causing an accident and killing innocent passerby's.

She was not ok. She was not going to be alright now...she needed time and all she wanted to do was at that moment, was to curl up in her husband's arm...the only safe space for her.

So she stood up and thanked Nathan for everything he did. Although she said she was fine to drive herself back home but he insisted that his driver would drop her and she obliged out of fear.

Meanwhile, Kian poured another glass of whisky for himself. After the knowledge of his wife's location being near the area of Anderson Corp. Tower.

Nothing had to be said much to with whom she was at the moment. To say, he was disgusted by her tactics of getting back at him.

So when he saw the Black Mercedes with Anderson mark imprinted on its good, parking before the front gate and Tinsley getting out of it, he was beyond angry.

Tinsley thanked the driver and walked towards the mansion. She saw Kian's Range Rover parked and she knew that he was home

At least that was a relief. She thought to herself and made her entry inside the mansion and seeing that the living room was empty, the maid, Alice directed her towards the study room of Kian.

Tinsley thanked Alice and made her way inside his study after giving a slight knock on the door.

He was standing, looking out through the window, his back facing her front. She ran up to him and hugged him from behind.

Tears rolled out of her eyes as she rested her face on his back, thinking how to disclose to him the news of their loss.

Kian curses under his breath, feeling her feminine body pasted to his. At that moment, he did not want her anywhere near to him after finding out where she had come back from.

He peeled her hands off from his chest and walked away from the window and took a sit on his leather armchair.

Tinsley was a bit taken aback by his reaction. She stood there ideal, watching him sitting on the chair, glaring at her.

He did not say a word to her and neither did she know how to start...from where and how to end?

"So is Serena's daughter fine?"

It was not what she wanted to start with but she could not bring it in herself to start with their loss.

He did not respond to her for a while and finished his drink before getting up from his chair and pouring another glass for himself.

Watching his actions, she felt as if he had come to know what had happened. Could he be mad at her that she did not inform him about her pregnancy from the beginning?

Her heart was thumping against her chest as she thought of so many things in just a second but feared to let out anyone of them.

"Why do you care if that little girl is alive or dead??"

He questioned her back, mockingly eyeing her frame. She was too weak consciously to handle his outburst at that moment.
