he wanted to protect me.” Otherwise, he would not have sustained such severe injuries.
Upon hearing that, Aiden looked at Warren before he hugged Amelia. “I want to grow up quickly to
protect you and my siblings.”
Amelia wanted to say more, but Matilda interrupted, “Enough, don’t talk too much. Your neck is injured.
Talk when you’re feeling better.”
Amelia’s injuries required two more days of observation. Due to her neck injury, she had oatmeal for
dinner. Meanwhile, Aiden and Matilda planned to leave after Amelia finished her meal.
