After he was done with his meal, Jacob secretly put his hand under the table to loosen his belt so that he could temporarily relieve his bulging stomach.

After cleaning everything up, Matilda said, “It’s getting late. Paul and I won’t bother all of you any longer. Thank you for your hospitality today. We enjoyed the dinner very much!”
Jacob hurriedly replied, “Oh, Matilda! We should be thanking you instead. We were able to enjoy such scrumptious and delicious home-cooked Southaven dishes because of you today! I feel as though my wish from more than twenty years ago has finally been fulfilled!”
Matilda smiled before she nodded slightly. This has also been her wish for many years but it would not be appropriate for her to say such things in front of Claire. Therefore, she simply replied, “Alright then. We won’t bother you and your family further. We’ll leave first.”
Jacob asked, “How did you two come here?”
Matilda said, “Paul drove here today but we parked our car outside the community of the villa.”
Jacob replied, “Oh, will Paul still be able to drive after drinking?”
Matilda smiled before she said, “He can’t drive but I can! I didn’t drink much.”
“Oh, yes!” Jacob smiled before he said, “I completely forgot about that. Let me walk both of you to your car then.”
After that, without even waiting for Matilda to reply, Jacob hurriedly opened the door and walked out before he gestured for her to come out.
When Matilda saw this, she said, “Thank you, Jacob.”
Charlie and Claire sent them outside to the gate before they politely said goodbye to them. After that, Jacob walked the mother and son out to their car.
