Chapter 253: Warm Feelings

“......” Instead of him using his usual talk, Wang Hao just stayed quiet as he stared at the 4 Djinns. He was not even blinking as the Djinns weathered the uncomfortable attention given to them.

Genie does not know why he suddenly acted like this. She might have only met him earlier, but she was sure that Wang Hao will not normally do something like this.

“Is there something about them that pissed him off?”

Hours passed by like that. Even Genie, who was used to be waiting, started to get irritated already. The other Djinns also started to get uncomfortable with all the useless waiting that they did.

“Hey Wang Hao, when is Fang Lin and the milkmaid coming out?” Genie said harshly to him. “I think waiting this long is not that good. Look, 5 hours have already passed by!”

Wang Hao only had a nirvanic expression on his face as he told Genie,

“Learn the virtue of patience, for being hasty is a great sin one can commit.” He even had the gall to say these in a soothing voice!

“Don’t act all mysterious here!” Genie thought to herself. In the end, she could only sigh as they started waiting again.

When their patience was about to be stretched really thin, somebody suddenly appeared in front of Wang Hao.

This person wore the spacesuit that Fang Yu was wearing earlier. Genie sighed in relief, knowing who this person was.

The suit then turned invisible, and everyone saw that it was Fang Lin in his original form who appeared.

“Hmm?” Genie and Wang Hao, who was extremely familiar with Fang Lin’s strength, felt something different from him right now.

The Fang Lin in front of them appears to be way more powerful than the Fang Lin they knew!

If Genie could only ‘feel’ that Fang Lin seems stronger, Wang Hao was able to sense something else.

While Wang Hao was looking at Fang Lin, he could feel as if there were 12 powerful beasts residing inside Fang Lin’s body! This was the source of Fang Lin’s new power!

Wang Hao narrowed his eyes, realizing that Fang Lin encountered something mysterious that led to him being like this.

Wang Hao looked at the 4 Djinns, who gave Fang Lin some interested looks.

“Can you leave us be for an hour? I want to have a sincere conversation with my disciple. Let’s just meet back here after that one hour.”

To Wang Hao’s surprise, the 4 Djinns did not give any protest. They flew away, leaving Fang Lin with Wang Hao and Genie.

These three then looked for a cave where they can start their talk. They found one, around a kilometer away from their spot. Once they went in, Wang Hao immediately employed his space and energy field, that can immediately detect any intruders.

It was only after these measures that Wang Hao looked at Fang Lin. Fang Lin stared back, with his face showing a smug expression. Wang Hao resisted the urge to sigh as he said to Fang Lin,

“Now that we’re alone, tell us what happened to you.”

.......

After almost an hour of talking, Fang Lin was able to tell Wang Hao his experience that made him like this today.

Wang Hao narrowed his eyes, as he enumerated the important details that Fang Lin told him about this new person.

1. A powerful practitioner who might have died before the establishment of the Underworld Realm was residing inside Fang Lin’s tablet and became Fang Lin’s second master.

2. This old man still had his access of his Inner World, indicating that he was at least a Seventh Stage Practitioner.

3. He seems to love experiments, with the way he thought and all the experimental subjects that he kept.

4. His name and identity were still unknown.

Fang Lin then told Wang Hao about the technique that allowed Fang Lin to make Essence Cores. He then recounted on how this old man gave Fang Lin the chance to complete the Twelve Essences Martial Arts to allow Fang Lin to make 12 Essence Cores.

“So that’s the beasts that I am feeling huh. That old man sure is impressive, he even managed to theorize something like that.” Wang Hao muttered with a slight tinge of jealousy.

“What master, are you jealous?” Fang Lin smirked as he saw Wang Hao’s strained smile.

“Yes. I am jealous.” Wang Hao said truthfully. He felt his pride as being Fang Lin’s master being challenged here. Wang Hao then clenched his teeth as he said,

“If that guy can give you essence cores, then I can make you reach the peak of the Second Stage!” Wang Hao actually knew that he can use the energy inside him to make Fang Lin create all his Dao Pillars and make Fang Yu materialize all her mana.

But Wang Hao did not do that before in fear of Fang Lin’s foundation being damaged. But from the looks of it right now, Fang Lin should be able to withstand that pressure!

“Well...” Fang Lin gave Wang Hao an awkward look as he slowly said,

“After I was able to successfully make 12 Essence Cores, the old man said that with that kind of foundation, I can withstand my cultivation being elevated to the peak Second Stage. So the old man then used the residual power of his soul to increase my cultivation.”

Fang Lin then stood up proudly as he said,

“With that residual power, I was able to create all the 10 Dao Pillars, all with 99% Purity! The mana that I managed to materialize also reached 99% conversion! Good thing I was able to reach the peak Second Stage before his residual soul power ran out. He told me that he will die if his residual soul power ran out.”

Fang Lin then continued rambling on how good the old man was, how generous he was and how he really cared for Fang Lin’s welfare.

“Kehok!” Wang Hao felt as if someone stabbed an arrow on his heart ten times. At that time, he started to feel a sense of competition with that old man.

“With these actions, are you implying that you are the better master? Hmph, if you want it to be like that, then old man, I will show you that I am the better master!” Wang Hao immediately thought of various things that he could do to make him look better to Fang Lin.

But these thoughts of his were cut short when Fang Lin suddenly said,

“Master, I can feel my power skyrocketing now! Let me test my strength! Let me fight those 4 Djinns!”

Of course, Wang Hao’s first instinct was to just say no. After all, those opponents were actually the former Generals of Solomon. Even if they were weakened now, their abilities were still high class.

Wang Hao actually thought that his decision to let Fang Lin fight earlier was too hasty for him. He thought that Fang Lin was lucky that Wang Hao discovered their real identity and that they only wanted to cooperate with something.

Wang Hao was sure that if Fang Lin confronted them earlier before he powered-up, he will surely be thrashed so hard even his pet will not recognize him.

But then he saw Fang Lin’s determined look. Wang Hao then remembered what kind of master he was to Fang Lin.

To Fang Lin, Wang Hao was the kind of master who lets his disciple do as they please as he watches from the background. The kind of master who will only swoop in when the disciple is in trouble.

Sure, that may sound irresponsible, but having that kind of relationship requires the disciple to fully trust that his master will save him if he gets into trouble.

Wang Hao felt slightly warm when he realized that Fang Lin actually trusted him like this.

“Fine. Do your stuff.” Wang Hao reluctantly said with a twitching smile.

“Ok!” Fang Lin shouted, as he appeared to be extremely pumped up.

“Wang Hao don’t you think that this seems...” Genie cautiously said after she heard Wang Hao’s answer.

The only thing that Wang Hao could say to Genie was,

“¯_(?)_/¯”
