Chapter 286: More Questions than Answers
Everyone was shocked to see what happened.
“Karen’s soul avatar was stolen by Fang Hao? This is nuts!” Ricardo shouted as he ran towards the building where he made the contract with Fang Hao.
He entered the black door, and there he saw his boss still busy on smoking his pipe.
As for the other occupants in the room, they were busy playing card games and billiards. They all looked up to see the haggard and pale Ricardo.
“Boss, you will not believe what I will say!” Ricardo said with a tremble. “Karen, sh-sh-she lost to Fang Hao just now!”
The other occupants in the room looked up, seemingly not surprised at Ricardo’s statement. They resumed what they were doing, ignoring him entirely.
“... Does this mean they already knew the results?” Ricardo thought to himself.
As for the boss, he stood up as he said,
“Well, look’s like my guess was right.”
“Boss?” Ricardo looked at his boss with surprise after he saw him standing. This was the first time he saw him left his chair, which means there must be an extremely important event that will happen!
The boss flexed his neck as he said,
“Well, I think its time to meet the person who swindled 1.4 Billion from me. I’ll leave this place to you first.”
The boss went of the room, with Ricardo saying behind him,
“But Boss Shax, if people see you outside, they might see your appearance....”
“Do not worry Ricardo my boy.” Shax said with a grin. “Those who were allowed to see my real appearance will depend on me.”
“Ok boss.....”
Shax was all smiles as he headed towards Fang Yu’s rented room. But nobody, including his servants, knew what that smile on his face meant.
“Fang Hao huh. Let’s see if my guess about you was right....”
***********
“You seem to have a good harvest.” Andromeda said with a deadpan expression on her face. It was hard to know if she was happy for Fang Yu’s victory or if she was just jealous at what she got.
With her win, Fang Yu got all of Karen’s money. And as a great bonus, Fang Yu also got Karen’s soul avatars. And last but not the least, Fang Yu also got Karen herself.
“....” Karen was grinding her teeth as she stared at Fang Yu malevolently. Because of her loss, Karen was now Fang Yu’s property.
To make this legitimate, Fang Yu was given a slave contract, with Karen as the slave. In this case, the agreement they made before the match will be upheld.
As for all the slaves that Karen had before, Fang Yu decided to free them. After all, she only needed Karen’s money and her power.
“Hehehe, with all this money, I can go to the Median Layer now... forget about that pumping job, this is how money should be gathered!” Fang Yu cackled, much to Andromeda’s displeasure.
“Mnnn...” Fang Yu said as she stretched her curvaceous body. Since Karen was her slave now, Fang Yu had no qualms on showing her real appearance to Karen.
“You...” Karen gritted her teeth as she drooled upon seeing Fang Yu’s beauty.
Karen was a sadist at heart, and she liked ‘playing’ and tormenting beautiful ladies.
Seeing that her master was that kind of beauty was a great torture for Karen!
After all, this beauty was her master, and she could not do anything to her!
“Just you wait... I will make you grovel under my foot someday!” Karen swore to herself as she glared at Fang Yu with anger.
“This girl really does not learn.” Fang Yu thought as she looked at Karen with disappointment. “Now I am not sure on who I hate more, Princess Lilliana or this Karen.”
“...” Fang Yu then started to breath heavily as she imagined Princess Lilliana and Karen together on one cramped space.
Will Karen try to make a move at Princess Lilliana at that time? Or will Princess Lilliana will be the one to dominate Karen? Fang Yu will only know once she does it.
“Should I do that now?” Fang Yu thought to herself as she stared at Karen hungrily.
“...” Karen felt fear upon seeing the look on Fang Yu’s eyes. She started to move back cautiously, as she tried to look meek and cute.
That was the moment that Fang Yu heard someone knocking on her door.
Fang Yu stood up confidently as she felt no signs of danger behind the door. She changed her appearance back to Venomshade before opening the door.
“Hello! What can I do-” Fang Yu’s introductory speech was rudely interrupted when her visitor made a sudden move.
A pitch-black arm suddenly shot out, with the hand on its end latching on Fang Yu’s neck. It grabbed her there tightly like a vise.
Fang Yu struggled to remove the hand gripping her neck, but she felt that the hand was unaffected by her blows.
Worse, she found her strength being slowly drained by that arm!
Her body was then raised from the ground as she continued struggling.
Andromeda tried to help her, but the sly Karen tackled her from behind, managing to slow her down.
“Tsk, tsk. You were so happy with your victory that you became this lax? That makes me wonder... are you really the one that will kill him? It seems like you were a bad choice.” The visitor said as he gave Fang Yu a disappointed look.
“Well then, time to end this I guess.” The visitor said nonchalantly as he sent his other hand rushing towards Fang Yu’s forehead!
************
“Well this is bad.” Fang Lin thought to himself after seeing what was happening to Fang Yu.
But even with that, he could still not help but sigh at his current predicament too.
With 4 days left until the trial, Wang Hao and Xiao Ya had to think of a way to finish the war at that time period.
With the firepower by both the continents, the only way for them to win was to conduct one massive attack that will take the opponents by surprise.
Wang Hao will not be able to use his wormhole tactics anymore, with the whole God Continent laying down a massive detection array spanning the whole continent.
With that kind of array, they will detect the appearance of a wormhole which will let them send some people there.
That tactic neutralizes the surprise factor of Wang Hao’s wormholes.
Because of that, they had to think of another way to make another surprise attack.
“Ugh...” Xiao Ya groaned as she grabbed her head in frustration. Because of the matter with Tang Li, all the Sixth Stage Practitioners will not be able to participate in this war. They were all hiding in fear of being banished.
Xiao Ya, the only remaining Sixth Stage practitioner out there, and Wang Hao can only use their brains to think up of something.
“With the rate that the God Continent gathers their army, it will take around 3 days for them to gather them all.” Wang Hao said as he scribbled on his parchment.
“That will be the time that the highest congregation of their fighters will appear. That means we must use that time to make an attack.” Xiao Ya quickly said.
“But how can we do that?” Fang Lin said with exasperation. “If we used wormholes, they might just blast us to pieces before we can come out.”
While Xiao Ya and Fang Yu were busy brainstorming, Wang Hao’s eyes lit up as he seemed to have a solution already.
“Hmm... I have an idea now.” Wang Hao said as he gave Fang Lin a calculating look. His eyes gleamed as he used his divine sense to talk to Fang Lin.
“That... might work...” Fang Lin said as he tried not to look impressed. He gave Wang Hao a begrudging look as he said, “But in order to do that, we must....”
“Hey, what are you talking about?” Xiao Ya said as she saw the two tricksters on the world of their own. “Care to tell me what’s happening?”
“Ok then. But I have to use divine sense, since the less people that knows it will be for the better.” Xiao Ya then paused as she received Wang Hao’s info.
Upon receiving it, she sighed as she said,
“Well the plan is good but is also risky. But in order for that to succeed, you must...”
“Yeah, yeah.” Wang Hao said nonchalantly. “We need to infiltrate and obtain something in the God Continent. If we do that, our plan will work.”
“But how will you do the infiltration? If you fail, you might die.” Xiao Ya asked worriedly.
“Don’t worry, I have a plan.” Wang Hao replied smugly.
“Of course you always have a plan.” Fang Lin muttered with irritation visible on his features. “Just make sure that it will not involve me dying or something similar to that.”
“Well, I cannot really assure that, hehehe.....” Wang Hao replied hesitantly.
“.....”
