The figure scoffed, "Hris, don't flatter yourself. I wouldn't lower myself to come here if I had another option."

A brief period of silence followed after.

"Get to it then, what do you want?" the lady waved her hand impatiently when the figure didn't say anything, still refusing to turn around and face him.

The figure smiled.

"One of the eggs I'm looking after is going off-track. She's a human so I thought you would know what to do. And as you know, if we fail to fulfill the quota this time then it will reflect poorly on all of us," he added in the last line upon seeing her nonchalant demeanor.

Although he was right in saying that it would reflect poorly on all of them, none of them would be punished as heavily as him. Their masters did not take kindly to failure.

The lady finally seemed interested as she sat upright.

"Off-track how?" she asked with obvious curiosity in her voice.

'Got her,' the figure grinned.

"She is a carrier of one of the ancient bloodlines of the 'Servents' along with a demonic one. I'm trying to awaken the 'Servents' bloodline but it has been tough."

"Tough how? It's not that hard. You can just ask for reinforcements from one of the masters."

The figure shook his head helplessly.

"Do you think I didn't try that? But she is on one of the Origin planets. It would take too long to infiltrate and reach her. Anyways, I found another way. There was a human with a dormant Lycan bloodline so I had him carry a majority of it to bring it to maturity."

Haris's body shuddered upon hearing of the Lycan bloodline. She turned her head halfway and peered towards the image floating in mid-air. Only one of her eyes was visible which had a three-pronged black iris in the shape of three vertical pupils connecting with one another in the center.

"Do I have to remind you how dangerous those things can be? The last time we went against a mature lycan, seven demi-gods died and we still didn't manage to kill it," she cautioned.

The figure instantly looked away from the pond, not willing to risk his well-being by gazing at her eyes.

"I know I know! The problem is not with him. The egg, she is becoming too attached to the human. I have reprimanded her on multiple occasions but she is not listening to me."

Hris turned away and let out a deep sigh.

"Has she fed yet?"

"Of course not. She probably could but I told her to wait."

"So let me get this straight. Your 'egg', who is a hormonal teenage girl that hasn't even fed once in her life, she is attracted to the human who is basically holding a piece of her very being inside of him, and you have been telling her to stay away from him?"

"Yes!" the figure nodded confidently which was the last straw for Hris.

"Are you an actual idiot!? Did you not learn anything during all those years in the sanctuary?!" she suddenly started yelling.

"Wha- Watch your tongue, whore!" the figure rebuked, taken aback by the sudden change in the narrative.

"Shut up you dumb lizard! Why would they give an egg like that to a creature incapable of emotion? What is wrong with those old bastards?!" she mumbled angrily, talking more to herself than anyone else.

She stood up and turned around, revealing a picture-perfect face that didn't look any older than 20. Her rosy cheeks resembled those of an innocent young girl.

But her split irises were too 'eye-catching'.

The figure looked away once again.

"I didn't reach out to you to be berated like an unfit newborn. Can you help or not?" he asked once again, not willing to drag out the conversation any longer.

Hris shook her head wearily, "Every time we talk you get dumber and dumber. Why would you tell a vampire to stay away from someone they have already developed feelings for? Did you not read any history books, EVER? At least she hasn't fed on him yet, otherwise, that would be a much bigger problem. They always develop intense emotions for the first feed."

She waved her hand and a black crystal appeared in her grasp which she threw towards the image. It disappeared inside with a ripple and shot out of the pond. The figure grabbed it with a confused expression.

"This is...?"

"My egg," Hris replied coldly, "He is a young king from the Republic of the Pale Sun. He's already indoctrinated, you just need to bring him in. I'll trade him for your egg."

The figure's eyes shone brightly with greed which turned to doubt.

"A king from the Republic...?" he mumbled before looking towards Hris, "But why? He is worth more than a mere princess, even if she has that bloodline."

"Because he's too boring and I've already tasted him. Do you want to trade or not?" her brows scrunching into a frown.

The figure opened his left hand and a similar crystal appeared which he threw in the pond and it came out on the other side.

"Deal. She's all yours," the figure threw the words out in haste before the image disappeared, leaving Hris standing alone in the flower field with the black crystal.

She smiled mischievously.

"Now, let me see if you're worth my time."

Back on the planet, Hao Xuan was sitting on top of a rock under a massive mushroom.

There were numerous glyphs and characters written all around him which were glowing lightly. Henrik was standing a few feet away from him while Fulke and Hazel watched from a distance of several meters with their weapons drawn.

Henrik was chanting in a deep voice while moving in a semi-circle around Hao Xuan. Wisps of Qi came out of him, powering the formation on the rock.

And in front of Hao Xuan was an oval mirror that displayed moving images.

The images kept alternating, showing each place Hao Xuan had been to in the last few hours.

Henrik abruptly stopped his chanting and looked towards the floating mirror. It showed the scenes of the roach camp, or where it used to be.

"Holy shit, what...are those?" he pointed at the mirror in shock.
