Chapter 619: Trajectory

Chapter 619: Trajectory

Hao Xuan was forced out of his own meridian, his very own body. It was a strange feeling for sure, one that he didn't want to experience again. But if what Nidhora said was true then there was nothing he could do, at least for now.

Hao Xuan had also become quite apprehensive of her now, for some reason. He had begun to realize that even though he seemed to be the one on the top, he might not be the one in control in this relationship.

Now even though Nidhora was but a mere fragment of her past self, she was still a dragon, a true born. She belonged to a world that Hao Xuan couldn't even begin to understand.

She had seen and done things that the minds of mortal beings could not possibly comprehend so how arrogant and utterly foolish was it to believe that such a being would willingly help him out?

"Result?" Baracus spoke up since Hao Xuan just silently sat in the same spot without saying or doing anything.

Hao Xuan shook his head, "No luck. We are on our own," he mumbled.

"We? There is no "we", it is only you," Baracus swiftly corrected him.

Hao Xuan let out a deep sigh before standing up, "Yeah yeah, I'm alone, I get it. So what now?"

*Beep*

"I have fashioned a steerable wingsuit that can help guide you in, to an extent."

Hao Xuan waved his hand and a full-body suit appeared in his grasp. He rubbed his fingers over the fabric, feeling the still warm stitches forming hundreds of perfect squares.

"Why is it warm to the touch?" Hao Xuan asked with knitted brows.

"It came off the press just moments ago."

"Press?"

"A 3D printer of sorts."

"Ahh!"

Hao Xuan put on the suit that was almost identical to what paragliders used back on earth. There were a few extra fins here and there but it seemed barebones with a minimalistic finish.

"Perfect fit," Hao Xuan patted his chest.

"I would be a disgrace to all AI's if I could not even do something this simple," Baracus commented, ruining Hao Xuan's mood.

"Tsk, just shut up and put on some music."

"Music?"

"Yeah, the instrumental sounds that humans enjoy. Got any?"

"Searching databanks..."

A second later a high pitched groaning sound started playing in Hao Xuan's ears, almost making them bleed.

"NO NO! Stop! What the fuck was that?" Hao Xuan tried to close his ears but it was useless since the sound was being directly sent to his eardrums.

"The mating sounds of the Waloki Race."

"....."

"%#%%@%[email?protected]&#%"

After listening to some truly innovative curse words that Hao Xuan had created in a fit of anger involving Baracus's non-existent parents and a legion of different animals, Baracus played some of the most common and basic human tunes.

Hao Xuan stood at the edge, staring down at the 7+ kilometer drop. The heavy, musky air brushed past his face making both his hearts beat faster and faster.

The music that Hao Xuan had settled on was an instrument that sounded remarkably similar to a violin. It played in the background to help him calm his nerves.

He wasn't wearing any other safety gear because at this distance and speed, it would only get in his way when he eventually made landfall. Physically, there shouldn't be a problem for him. The only issue were the extremely acidic clouds that were randomly floating about.

They would not only melt the suit but him with it so he needed a way to avoid them and that's where the wingsuit came in. It also would help him get to the other side faster. This time he wasn't planning on going straight down but covering as much distance as possible.

Although Hao Xuan wasn't really scared of heights, staring at such a massive drop he couldn't help but second guess the decision. But he knew there was no other option, that he HAD to do this, as stupid as it seemed.

"I feel like I should say something here no? Like a speech?" Hao Xuan muttered tensely.

"Something like one small step for man and one gian-AHHH!" the rock-side he was standing on finally collapsed under his weight, saving Baracus the trouble of taking control of his body and jumping off.

He fell straight down following after the rock. A slider and rows of various numbers popped up in front of Hao Xuan's eyes along with blaring red letters.

"Danger! Danger! Immediate trajectory re-alignment recommended!"
