The Divine Wolf... or?

Chapter 98: Relaxation!

Chapter 98: Relaxation!

The next day quickly arrived. Ark was too lazy to do anything though, he just wanted to sit back and relax. His time in his human form was refreshed once again, but he didn't really care right now, he didn't want to leave the room. Sleep was blissful, and Ark had always thought so, but usually, he had important things to do. Thufrat woke up earlier than him, and he went out to eat some breakfast.

The others were going to return to Liverence today, but Ark had no idea, if he did, he would at least see them off.

The other's just ate breakfast, talked and walked around leisurely, and had a pleasant day off. After noon had passed, Leo and Laurelia needed to go back, they had an entire pavilion to look after. Alenia decided that she would stay behind, which surprised both Thufrat and Laurelia. Thufrat was happy though, he would be able to spend more time with her, which he really wanted to do.

He was sure that she and Ark would be able to become friends, or at the very least he hoped so.

After Ark had lazed around in the inn for a couple of hours, he decided to stretch his legs for a while. Walking around town in his human form, witnessing the bustle of the city, experiencing the tastes the various food stalls had to offer, Ark was in a very relaxed mood. He saw some beautiful ladies now and then, which was very pleasing for his eyes.

He had never been that much of a fan of beauty, but recently, he had started to appreciate it more, it was hard not to in a world such as this.

Compared to the beauties of his previous life, the ones he saw here were a lot more extravagant, and a lot more natural. With his life constantly on the line, Ark wanted to live his life to the fullest. He wasn't really scared of death, he had already died once, and it ended with him living a much more fulfilling life this time.

At the same time, if he was unlucky, he might reincarnate without any potential at all, in a world where strength is everything. But wouldn't that just be his fate then? [Fuck fate] was all Ark could think when such thoughts crossed his mind. Who cared about some predestined shit? Ark didn't care about such ambiguous things.

If he was reincarnated as a pile of shit, then that was just life, and he would become the best pile of shit to ever roam the universe! Sighting an interesting clothing shop, Ark decided that it was probably time to get some new clothes. He looked like a pearl that was covered in mud at the moment, almost literally too, his clothes weren't exactly what you'd call clean.

The shop wasn't too big, yet the clothes were all very high quality, even on the level where it would be befitting for a noble to wear them. Of course, those clothes were expensive, and Ark didn't want the absolute best, but he didn't want some cheap rags either. He wanted some kind of middle-ground.

When he entered, a young female attendant instantly brightened up. A handsome young man like this entered the shop, this was her time to show what she's got! She didn't delay and inquired about what he was looking for. "Excuse me, sir, how may I help you today?"

Ark looked around a little. "I would like a new outfit, preferably a couple of them, money shouldn't be much of a problem, but I don't want anything too fancy if possible."

The attendant listened attentively. "Coming right up!" She said before she scurried off, scavenging the small store for any outfits that would suit the young man. Ark just stood in silence and browsed around the store some more. This place was his ideal type of store, whether for clothes, weapons or anything really. High-quality goods, nice service, and a nice and cosy atmosphere.

A slight smile resting on his face, he noticed the attendant returning with multiple sets of clothes in her arms.

The small store had a changing room in one of the corners, which she lead Ark to. A chair stood outside the small changing room, where she put down most of the clothes she had picked up for him. After handing him an outfit, she ushered him into the changing room and closed the curtain. In reality, that curtain was essentially the entire changing room, with a mirror up against the wall.

Ark quickly changed into his first outfit. Looking at himself in the mirror, Ark's first impression of the clothes was very high. The comfort was like nothing he had ever worn in this life before, even contesting with some of the fairly high-quality clothes he had worn in his previous life.

He was of Swedish descent, and these clothes looked a lot more eastern in comparison to what he was used to, they looked a little old-fashioned too, but he liked the look.

The attendant truly had splendid insight and perception, as she had noticed that he was a warrior the moment he walked in. What he wore was a set of ink-black martial attire. The sleeves of the arms were a little longer and looser than he was used to, but it would look quite elusive when he fought. He had an azure coloured sash around his waist. Embroidered on his back was an azure coloured dragon.

With some other azure coloured patterns covering the entire outfit, it looked rather good. Coupled with his handsome face as well as his extraordinary aura, Ark looked like a fierce fighter, not someone you would want to create any trouble with.

All in all, Ark was very pleased with the outfit, and he decided that he would just buy it. The attendant was very pleased with her selection as she saw him walk out of the changing room, it was a little bit of a pity that his face wasn't very clean, it even looked like there was some dried blood on his cheeks.

Ark didn't doubt the woman's ability and just decided to get the outfit she picked out for him.

She was a little taken aback that he was going to buy all of them, without even trying some of them on, but she was very happy nonetheless, despite their ability and quality, they didn't have a lot of customers. People would usually prefer to go to bigger stores situated close to the centre of the city.

Being close to the centre of the city signified a stores status, as it was expensive and hard to get a place there.

The attendant had picked out a total of 5 outfits for Ark, and it cost him a grand total of 50 gold coins to buy all of the outfits. The cost was that high just because of the quality, as well as some of the defensive properties of the clothing. Ark left satisfied and continued to browse the city, his mood being pretty good for once.
