followed after him and asked, “Are the seats you bought in the front or back?”
Clayton did not answer.
When he got in front of the screen and there was enough light, he took out a thick stack of
tickets from his pocket.
Nicole was shocked for a moment
Clayton said calmly, “Feel free to pick any…” He bought out the entire hall.
Looking at Nicole’s shocked expression, Clayton’s eyes turned gentle as he explained, *I was
afraid that il cause a misunderstanding if others saw us watching a movie together, so | figured
I might as well not let anyone see us. I’l wait until you’re willing to be seen by others.”
No matter how heartless, careless, or unreasonable Nicole was, Clayton still accommodated her

Nicole lowered her eyes and felt particularly guilty for speculating that Clayton had dark

Nicole was a little dumbstruck from being looked at by Clayton like this. She was taken aback
again.
She immediately turned around and went to the back seat. That position and angle was the best
place to watch the film. Clayton followed closely behind.
The movie started.
At the title screen two words “Mourning Curse” dripping with a layer of blood appeared on the
screen.
Nicole frowned and tumed to the side to look at Clayton. “A horror film?”
‘Why do men always like to pick horror films? Was it to show their strong willpower in this
cramped space? Nicole did not expect Clayton to be so conventional.
Clayton’s expression was clearly a little shocked. “Isn’t it a Japanese mythological film? The ticket
agent at the front desk said that this was to promote Japanese culture..”
“Elegant and subtle international cultural exchange will be so befitting to our identities. Why the
hellis this a horror film?! This isn’t what | wanted!’ Clayton thought.
Nicole realized that Clayton had been fooled and subconsciously laughed.
“Well, he isn’t wrong per se. Its indeed a Japanese horror film…” Nicole suddenly found it very funny that Clayton’’s reaction was bigger than hers.

Nicole grabbed his sieeve. “Forget . Its fine. Let’s just watch this..
Clayton sat down helplessly and muttered to himself. “This is too much. Ladies will get scared if
they watch a movie like this. It’s no wonder no one bought tickets for this session. That larl”
Nicole noticed that Clayton was acting extraordinarily weirdly and found it quite funny. Her eyes
squinted in a smile.
