Chapter 56 - Trouble

Chapter 56: Trouble

Mo Chu did not know what the people next to him were thinking. She slept lay comfortably with the Blood Luminescent Beast and had a good night’s sleep.

When she woke up, the sky was already bright. Only then did Mo Chu realize that she had moved from the grass outside to the recliner in the tent. She was still wearing a warm military coat.

“You’re awake?” A deep male voice sounded from the side.

When she heard the voice, Mo Chu happened to meet Ning Yiyuan’s eyes. The two of them were very close to each other. Only then did Mo Chu notice that Ning Yiyuan’s pupils were actually somewhat blue, deep, and pure. The tight-fitting white shirt revealed his good figure. The bulging muscles revealed the sexiness and charm that only belonged to men.

“Mm.” Mo Chu lowered her head and grunted a response. She picked up the military coat and handed it to him. “Thank you for the clothes.”

“No problem.” Ning Yiyuan looked at Mo Chu and did not say anything else. He just silently reached out to take the military uniform. When their fingers touched, his fingers felt warm and dry.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the tent was a little strange.

“Ao ao–” the Blood Luminescent Beast’s cry broke the awkward situation. The moment it entered, it saw that this annoying human was pestering Mo Chu. It immediately swung its two thick legs and jumped over, leaning against Mo Chu. It glared at Ning Yiyuan with a vigilant look.

This was the first time Ning Yiyuan was so disliked by a beast. His eyes could not help but darken, and he stared at the Blood Luminescent Beast in an imposing manner.

“Ao ao–” when it saw Ning Yiyuan’s stance, the Blood Luminescent Beast immediately exploded in anger. Its round eyes widened a few times larger than before. Hmph! In terms of staring, I have never lost before!

Mo Chu watched this scene from the side and could not help but laugh. She reached out to smoothen the Blood Luminescent Beast’s fur and comforted it. “Alright, stop fooling around. It’s time for us to leave.”

When Mo Chu said this, Ning Yiyuan was stunned. “You’re leaving?”

“Yes.” Mo Chu nodded and explained softly, “It’s already been a day. My brother is probably very anxious. I have to quickly find him to meet up.”

“But, you’re alone.” Ning Yiyuan frowned slightly. His tone was filled with worry. “The Deep Sea Forest is not only large, but it’s also full of dangers. It’s not easy to find a person there. How about this, you wait for another two days. When that time comes, I’ll go with you to find Mo Yang.”

“There’s no need. You have a business to attend to.” Mo Chook her head and gently patted the Blood Luminescent Beast beside him. “Besides, I still have this little fellow!”

“But...”

“Boss, something has happened!” Zuo Lin suddenly strode in from outside and interrupted Ning Yiyuan’s unfinished words. His face was filled with anxiety.

“What’s wrong?”

“We’ve lost contact with ten soldiers.” Zhong Wen also followed in and reported the situation in a concise manner.

Originally, it was impossible to use high-tech tools in the Magical Region. However, they had the latest Nanoscale Simulation Device developed by the Federation. It could temporarily interfere with the special magnetic field of the Magical Region and allow them to use some simple tools.

“Don’t be anxious.” Ning Yiyuan was very calm at this moment. He displayed his great general demeanor to the fullest. “Immediately locate the last location where they lost contact.”

“Yes.” Zuo Lin did not say much. He turned around and walked towards the equipment in the tent. He fiddled with it a few times, and suddenly, a light screen appeared and unfolded in the middle of the tent.

The picture quality of the light screen was very clear.

The first people who appeared before them were a few soldiers. They stood in a row. Opposite them, a two-meter-tall magical beast was staring at them. Its huge eyes revealed a hint of greed.

This situation was very obvious. What followed was an intense battle. This group of soldiers did not show any mercy. One after another, their elemental special abilities exploded like fireworks. When they hit the magical beast, fresh blood spurted out. Mo Chu watched from the side, a little frightened by what she saw.

In the end, the magical beast was no match for them. It staggered and ran. Naturally, these soldiers could not just watch their prey escape. They immediately chased after them.

The scene started to blur at this point. Two to three seconds later, the scene came to an abrupt stop, turning into a complete blank.

“Boss, what do you think?” Zuo Lin’s eyes darkened slightly. This was a small team, and their strength was not ordinary. How could they lose contact at the same time? They could not even locate them.

Ning Yiyuan did not say anything for a while. He replayed the scene again and carefully looked at every detail. Then he said, “Did you see where they are?”

Hearing this, Zuo Lin and Zhong Wen began to look at the scenery around the scene. Finally, Zhong Wen said hesitantly, “This... seems to be the boundary of the Second Ring.”

“That’s right.” Ning Yiyuan’s voice was serious. “It’s very likely that they’ve entered the Central Ring!”

“What!” Upon hearing this, Zuo Lin could not help but cry out in shock!

The Central Ring of the Deep Sea Forest was exceptionally dangerous. Many experts entered and never came out again. It was unknown whether they were alive or dead. It was because of this that Ning Yiyuan banned them from venturing anywhere close to the Central Ring. Who would have thought that this group of little soldiers was so reckless? They actually dared to barge in the Central Ring just like that.

“These guys are asking for trouble!” Even the usually gentle Zhong Wen reprimanded in a low voice.

However, now was not the time to scold them. More importantly, they had to protect their lives. Every single one of these trained soldiers was an elite that the Federation had spent countless resources to nurture. They definitely could not just die here.

Ning Yiyuan stood up and made a prompt decision. “Zuo Lin, you guard this place. Zhong Wen, you come with me.”

“Wait.” Mo Chu stood at the side. Her small face was slightly pale, but her tone was firm. “I’ll go with you!”

“Mo Chu, isn’t this...” Ning Yiyuan frowned. He was about to dissuade her but was interrupted by Mo Chu’s stern voice. “My brother is inside too!”

Ning Yiyuan and the others only noticed the soldiers in the picture. Mo Chu saw a flash of a figure in the picture. Although it was a little blurry, she could confirm that it was Mo Yang!

If Ning Yiyuan’s judgment was correct, then Mo Yang had probably entered the Central Ring of the Deep Sea Forest!
