Chapter 1024: Twisting Fate
?
Chad didn't need to see Serin to know she was doing well, just him being nearby was enough for his divine senses to give him more information about her than seeing her could. She was growing well, and far stronger than most children thanks to how much she played with Arad and the divine magic coursing through her body.
Chad walked into the back rooms and found Hati who was waiting for him in her room. "Did the kids let you go?" She was expecting her daughters to hold their Grandpa for a while longer.
"They know I might be busy. How have you been?" He approached her. She wasn't just his son's wife, but also the daughter of his old friend Fenrir.
"The same, you know what it's like to be eternal. What brought you to me today?" She could guess that if he came personally, it had to be something dangerous.
"Kayden is inside your training world. Care to send me there?" Chad looked at her with his flickering honey-colored eyes. He could've just walked there, but last time he did end up blowing her world apart and she got really mad.
"But first, is that all you can do to help Tina? You're the man who punched the stopped time to move it, I'm sure you can do something." When she turned toward him a whistle could be heard in the air as all the tiny bells spread around the house rang. The eternal house had started once again moving. "See? Your mere presence is disturbing eternity."
"Do you know why a mother might die giving birth, besides the birth complications? It's since the child's soul split up from hers, and if her soul isn't strong enough she might end up dead." He found a chair and sat on it. "Sometimes the mother dies, sometimes the child dies, it all depends on at which point the splitting process failed."
"I'm eternal so I can't know, my soul never changes nor splits up. Or at least it doesn't change." She sat to listen. "But you should know, given that Evelyn was born from your rib."
"I saw that girl outside, I believe she is Mira. The child inside her is far too powerful. In that splitting process, it'll probably pull Mira's soul and consume it whole. That's why Arad must take her to Gracie." Gracie is the mother of all life and death, if it has anything to do with those two, she'll know.
"So you're saying Gracie can help?" Now that seemed a bit too easy. But if it was that simple, Chad would've taken Tina to Gracie long ago.
"No, the situation isn't the same. In Mira's case, the child would consume her soul. In Tina's case, Serin died and I used Tina's soul to recreate Serin's perishing soul. One happened naturally, and I forced the second one to happen." He looked at Hati with a stern face, "Then what do you think is the solution?"
"There is none." The more she talks with him the grimmer Tina's situation seems, it's as if fate itself had turned against her.
Chad giggled, "You're still too young. Either Tina or Serin must recreate their soul and reincarnate. Any god should be able to help them do that with ease, but sadly, I'm not a god." He looked at her with a smile, "I am just a human, but I am who stands above them all." "Then Arad should just find a god to help them? Right? Can't his wives Mira or Eris do it?" this was the first idea that came into Hati's mind and she spoke immediately.
"No. They're not full gods, and besides, Mira doesn't have enough energy to save herself, let alone others. Overall, I don't think Arad would be willing to entrust Tina and Serin to a god to reincarnate one of them." Chad stood, "I've already planted the seeds and he must make sure to see everything through. Serin has enough divine energy, he should be able to figure the rest." Looking directly into his glowing eyes, Hati was certain that Chad had left something for Arad to use, something that seemed to be inside Serin, divine magic.
"So that's what you were planning all along?" The moment it clicked inside her head, it all became clear.
"I do not plan, I only set people on their right path, and twist fate when it refuses to comply." Chad believed in one thing, and that is that people must fend for themselves. Especially humans, he'll give them the tools to hunt, but never give them free food.
Fate fears the determined and hard workers. Humans are persistent hunters, they never give up, and that is how they can tame the world and bend destiny to their will. Get up, move, and make a difference. This is what Chad believed and wanted all humans to live by.
Hati opened a door for Chad to enter the training ground, and the moment he left she rushed back to her room. She sat on her bed and pulled a clear crystal from one of the drawers then drew her eternal sword out of her palm. If Chad had done something outrageous to save Tina and Serin, she must know of it and tell the overgod.
Since the sword that is in her hand is a shard of eternity, it's already severed out of fate itself. By mixing that power with a scrying orb Hati could peak at fate and destiny, but only its past. If the timeline is a table, then fate is several lines drawn on it, they twist and turn but always extend forward infinitely as long as time exists.
The moment she looked at the fate lines at the time when Tina was attacked, Hati's eyes opened wide as she gasped. They were all twisted and tied together as if someone ripped them apart and then tied them back together.
"She was supposed to die that day alongside Serin, the spear had pierced her liver. Father-in- law didn't just heal her and bring Serin back, he twisted fate so they wouldn't die." She couldn't even wrap her head around how is it possible to grab the threads of fate and violate them like that.
Hati stood and rushed across the hallways to find Tina.
^AO created Adam in his image, their powers are similar, but Adam is far weaker than his creator. Arad should be able to find a way, but not through Chad.^ She can't let Tina set Arad to go after Chad, that might end up badly.

When Chad entered Hati's world he found himself standing right beside Kayden. "You're here all alone? Where is Arad?"
Kayden was resting in peace, drinking tea on a large boulder when Chad appeared. At that moment the glass tea cups broke between his fingers.
"Lilia took him. She'll be teaching him how to use magic in her world." Kayden replied with a passive face, his voice hiding a growl. Chad looked a bit worried. "That woman can be a bit hard to deal with."
"Not as hard as you." Kayden smiled, he clearly didn't like dealing with Chad more than he hated dealing with Lilia. While Lilia was a psychopath he could easily argue against, Chad was always right and that annoyed the hell out of him. "Out of everyone that I know, you're the last person anyone should train with." Chad had trained both Kayden and the current overgod in physical combat. Everything that Kayden showed Arad was things he learned from Chad.
"The abominations are watching for any powerful signal. I fear Nyar himself might show up if Arad consumed the dead heart." Chad smiled, "So I came here to check if you've gotten rusty or not." Just hearing that sentence got Kayden mad, no matter how strong he got or what he achieved, Chad always asked for more, which made him extremely frustrated.
Two extra heads showed up on Kayden's shoulders as he grew two pairs of arms. In the blink of an eye, his six demonic swords were a hair strand away from Chad's neck. He wasn't messing around, this was the full power of the god slayer, the demon lord of destruction feared by the gods and demons alike.
Chad weaved the six swings like they were nothing and swung his palm down, smacking Kayden on the back of the head, and smacking him to the ground like a meteor. The second reason Kayden hated dealing with Chad, is that he had never managed to win against him.
As Chad stood in the middle of the crater looking at the knocked Kayden, a stunning angel with white hair and glowing blue eyes slowly descended from the sky, her wings crackling
with divine magic.
"Evelyn, is the portal to Hades's world ready?" Chad looked at her with a smile, that was his wife. Adam was the first human, the first man of mankind, so much of a man that he created a wife through mitosis. This is the kind of ridiculous feat that everyone is afraid of when facing
Chad.
"Of course, let's go." She landed beside him and he grabbed Kayden. "We should be back before noon. I doubt Arad would even notice Kayden missing for such a short time."

Back in Isbert's world, a lot of time had passed by. A whole week had gone by as Isdis sat alone
in the middle of the snow with closed eyes, trying her best to focus on the heat crystals.
Kory still watched from afar. At first, she thought Isbert was a bit harsh on Isdis, but no normal human could survive in that cold for longer than a few seconds, yet Isdis had sat naked in the deadly cold for a whole week.
^She feels the bite of the cold but clearly isn't harmed by it as much as everyone else. ^ It was then that she realized that some of the heat crystals had finally started filling up. Isdis had finally realized it. Why is this place colder than the snowy mountain she fought
Isbert on? Doesn't that mean the snowy mountain was hotter than this place, even if they both were snowy and covered in ice?
All she needed to do was make the already cold place she was in even colder and use the
extracted heat to fill the crystals. She could also use a portion of the heat she extracted to keep her inner organs warm. The first hours were grueling and she almost gave up, but the moment she started figuring out what she must do, all that remained was getting more efficient at it. After another week, all the heat crystals were filled and Kory flew down to pick Isdis. "Ah! You're back." Isdis looked at Kory with a tired and paled face. She didn't eat or drink
anything for the past two weeks besides the ice she was given. She couldn't even figure out how she managed to survive that long out here, but...all she cared about now was getting out
of this frozen hell.
What Isdis didn't realize is that the only reason she survived for so long without food was that she didn't move nor needed to generate her own heat. Functioning under such a low heat had slowed her metabolism to such a level that she didn't even lose fat in those past days. "You've done a great job. I thought it'd take you months and several failed attempts." Kory covered her with a warm blanket and carried her away.
When Kory dropped Isbert back at the castle two dragon maids took her to the back room, helped her wear her clothes again, and immediately brought her to speak with Isbert. Isdis was still exhausted, starving, and cold but she did want to finish this training and go back
home.
"I finished the training, send me back." The maids had shown Isdis the royal baths, which had cold water with ice cubes in it. She wanted to take a dip in a boiling hot bath, not that cold
water.
"You can rest and eat before I send you back." Isbert looked at her with a smile, "I'd also want to exchange the heat crystals you created with gold that you can use in your world." "Send me back...I want to rest there, not here." Isdis growled at her, but at that moment,
everyone fell silent.
Isbert blinked twice, "He is coming."
