The Empyreal Gem Master

Chapter 65: Between Life and Death! I

Chapter 65: Between Life and Death! I

Among the many wonders of Gem Masters, there were those with Abilities specifically geared towards forging.

Within the Peacock Lineage, their regal bloodline held multiple Gem Master Forgers who could design and produce terrifying Gem Armaments!

Beast Lord Vishpala never thought she would be pushed to utilize the crown currently floating above her head by a force she didn't even know existed.

This force wasn't mentioned by the intelligence reports they obtained from the Galanis Bloodline, even though they appeared in a City that was under their banner.

And the power they displayed was utterly maddening as it was even sufficient to threaten her.

She glared with a terrifying gaze towards the young girl wreathed in lightning and the man who had pulsing flames of blood around him.

They had 5 Gem Sockets on their chests, but their power was levels above this as she could not treat them like Tier 5 Ascendant Gem Masters at all!

With the dazzling crown spinning above her, she brought a momentary pause as she gazed at the battles occurring below.

And what she saw only caused her gaze to deteriorate further as she harrumphed while speaking out.

"We obviously made a mistake in targeting this domain of yours. We will pull back our forces right away, and neither of our sides will devolve into a life and death battle. You don't want any casualties on your side, right?

If I really stake my life and everything I have, I am confident in wiping out at least half of your forces…and I do not wish to go that far since there are no irreversible enmities between us. What say you?"

The sweet voice of the Beast Lord rang out towards Azazel and Claire as they stared at her wordlessly.

It was only a moment later, after Azazel silently received words in his mind, that he replied.

"We have no enmity with you, but hold great enmity with the Elven Beasts. You leave them behind, and you along with your army…could pull back."

…!

Words that caused the face of Beast Lord Vishpala to change while the Elven Beast Commanders in the distance seeking to avoid Alexander's Minions became ashen.

Lidar had already perished as the remaining ones did not want to meet the same fate!

But when they only heard silence from the Beast Lord, their hearts shook even more as this silence said a great deal.

She was actually contemplating it!

Such an idea was not even a possibility just second ago, and yet now it seemed to be a reality as how could they understand.

From the perspective of the Beast Lord who faced the roided out Azazel and Claire who had the support of two Gem Constellations…such a sacrifice may be more than okay to ensure their safety.

The feathers of the Peacock in the skies illuminated with radiance as the terrifying crown above its head filled with Gems hid its terrifying edge, her voice echoing out.

"Alright."

…!

What!

"Beast Lord!"

"Vishpala! You…!"

Cries boomed out from below as the Orcs and Peacocks felt their enemies retreat from them as they went towards the remaining Tier 6 Elven Beast Commanders and the Tier 5, 4, and other weaker Beasts that they led.

They breathed heavily as if a foot that was pressing on their chest was removed, and they grit their teeth as they did nothing to help the Elven Beasts.

"You can't do this!"

"BEAST LORD!"

A rain of hundreds of arrows gushed out from one area where a Tier 6 Elven Beast was clustered, but both the Lightning Sparrow, whose body shone with a Glacial Armor of the Deep once more, and a Golden Flame Lion were already above it.

Their lightning stopped this rain of arrows as the combination of flames and lightning crashed down to scorch everything there!

A scorching figure was all that remained around the melting earth as another Tier 6 Elven Beast fell.

"No…!"

Another one faced the wrath of Nueire who sought to prove herself along with the second Flame Crow, extremely heavy vines smashing down alongside flames as these attacks were truly overkill.

But they achieved their effects!

Another Tier 6 Elven Beast couldn't defend and fell.

The Gems they all left behind disappeared soon enough as a flash of crimson light constantly moved across the battlefield, this sight causing terror to rise in the hearts of the observing beasts as the Beast Lord didn't wish to watch this any longer!

"Let's go!"

Her voice echoed out as her massive body began to move back.

The army that had just arrived churned and began to tumble back in waves.

The Beast Lord was the first in her retreat, her body flashing with green light as she ignored the pleas of the Elven Beasts below!

She did this just in case.

Her senses only breathed a sigh of relief as they observed the figures of Azazel and Claire still floating in the skies behind without making a move.

She had actually escaped this ordea-...!

BOOM

Her figure came to a halt in the skies.

With a booming sound akin to the sound barrier being broken, an obsidian figure filled with tout muscles appeared in the skies in front of her.

An Orc Commander.

His titanic humanoid figure looked oppressive as he towered over 150 meters!

Behind him, glaring crimson wings of Lightning spread out as on his chest, six gems shone radiantly.

He looked like a massive building floating in the skies as he had a complex and difficult expression on his face while he gazed at the Beast Lord.

"My Ascendant Master…has changed his mind. None of you are to leave here."

…!

The aura emanating from the Orc Commander in the skies was maddening.

Depending on the starting point, the elevation of anyone who became bound to Alexander as a Minion varied.

The Tier 4 Beasts were raised in power by all three Supporting Gems to be capable of unleashing peak Tier 6 levels of power as Minions.

So what would happen when an already powerful Tier 6 Beast became bound as a Minion and obtained the multipliers to their Vigor and Energeia? To their size and power?

The answer was pure, unfiltered, devastation!
